i for one think that editors/gifmakers should get free 1080p+ versions of media directly from the source without fear of copyright conseuqences bc we do free labor to advertise and keep buzz around shows. do you know how many times i’ve seen tags that are like oh maybe i’ll watch bc of this on my gifs or times i’ve watched something that was not on my radar at all, that i didn’t even know about, because of a gifset? the amount of times a fanvideo has convinced me or my friends to watch something? or to consider an aspect of the show i didn’t before and reignite interest in it and thus continue to talk about it?

SUMMARY: You’re locked in your room when you refuse to take part in the Darkling’s plans to “change the world.”

image

Your room in the Little Palace was no longer a place of comfort. It was confinement. The curtains were drawn and could not be moved, so it always looked like the evening to you. You would only have a general idea of the time of day when Genya would swiftly open the door to leave your room. It was unclear if days or weeks had passed, but one thing was certain: your cabin fever had turned into insanity. You needed to see him. You begged for him, but stopped asking Genya once she stopped answering. Her task was only to come into your room three times a day and yours was to ignore everything she gave you until she left. You would only take small pieces of your food until you stopped shaking from hunger, but to Genya, you were not eating. This was your punishment for refusing the Darkling’s offer to change the world.

Today, you were done picking at your plate so you focused on your hands. Spheres of light danced around your fingers and weaved in between your thumbs. It was like that for a while, until they snapped out of existence once the door rattled. The familiar sound of keys beating against each other had you shift your attention away from the door since the wall was much more interesting, anyway. Once the door opened, it closed quickly, and the room was silent again. Genya must have been there to retrieve your leftovers, but the sound of her grabbing the silverware never came. You did not want to seem interested, so you never peaked. You kept focusing on the details of the curtains and the intricate carvings on the table by the window.

“You’re not eating,” Aleksander’s whispers traveled past your ears. You wanted to see him, but you did not want to bring him satisfaction. You both stood there in the darkness as you both pretended not to hear each other breathing.

“Why?” You questioned. You had not spoken for a while, and it was clear in the strain and shake in your voice.

“I gave you the option to rule with me,” he said, but this time he sounded closer.

“No, you didn’t,” you said.

“Remember, you’re free to go back home if you ask.”

“At the expense of Mal’s safety!” You roughly tucked your hands into each other.

“You made that decision.” His voice came out very flat.

You slowly turned your neck enough to see his chest in your peripheral vision. “You’re good at lying.” You gave him the same flat tone you received.

“I never–-” His boots beat against the wooden floor until they came to the other side of your bed. You saw how well crafted they were as you avoided his gaze. “Once we grew closer, I regretted it immediately.” He paused for a moment before he said, “may you please look at me?”

“What made you even think I would ever agree to–-” your anger was interrupted.

“It’s the only remedy to the structure of this society.” His voice rose for a second before it instantly went back down. His fingers reached for your chin and you snapped it away. The atmosphere was tense as the air was filled with all the words that were just said. There was more silence until you felt brave enough to speak.

“Is Mal still okay?” you whispered.

I think cis people who don't have gender dysphoria but just want to mess around with gender and are fully informed about all that hormones do should be able to easily get hrt if they want it. I think cis women that hate their chest and feel like its stressing them out quite a bit should be able to get top surgery and get it covered if they want to. I think cis men who hate or just dislike their body hair and want it removed, should be able to get it removed and that should be covered. I think anyone who wants bottom surgery should have access to it.

Like it's your body. You get to make these decisions. Not a doctor or a psychiatrist. The way transition is something that in many doctor's eyes only binary trans people should get access to just reinforces that we should all try being as close to the cis ideal as we can.

I've been seeing a lot of posts about how, yes cis people can also use whatever pronouns they like, but honestly? Cis people can have whatever access to any part of "transition" they desire.

summary: You were forced to stay in the garden that your mother, Demeter, made for you. A mysterious god soon enters without her knowledge and the secret love that you both share becomes something that you no longer want to hide.

author’s note: I swear I’m not making an excuse to have the reader be in a cottage in everything I write.

image

You had no doubt in your heart that your mother loved you more than anything a god or mortal could offer, but that was the problem. Her love for you was so strong that the mere thought of having you roam anywhere that was not the area that she created for you made Demeter’s skin crawl. She had seen what the mortals were like. They were greedy, violent, and selfish. They were just as cruel as the gods whom they served. The same gods that brought havoc wherever they went. Consequently, you never left the garden that you were born in. Decades passed, and all you knew from the moment you were brought to life was the nature that was right in front of you.

It was no wonder what occurred to you happened the way that it did. Your curiosity and lack of contact with anything that was not approved by her was the perfect storm to a situation that would plunge the human world into a famine. If the nymphs could have told the story, they would have said it was inevitable, but if Demeter could, she would have said it was an avoidable tragedy.

The god that was at the root of the disruption of the seasons did not know of your existence at first, but once he did, he began a fixation that not even time could help him abandon. If you were not sleeping, you were with the nymphs that were tasked with watching you, but that was not entirely a problem. After all, Demeter was the god of harvest, so that came with its own set of responsibilities that required her to be gone for long enough periods of time for him to go unnoticed in her own realm.

His intrigue started off small, like any obsession. When he was not dealing with his affairs, he went to go see you. The longing gazes from him did not go announced, but he always remained unseen. So, when you told the nymphs about how you felt like you were being watched, they laughed and Nadia even said, “By whom? There isn’t anyone else here besides us.” At first, you dismissed your feelings and considered it a case of “cabin fever” like Genya mentioned and told yourself to not dwell on the feeling. Even when it persisted, you ignored it until your suspicions were proven correct.
