Watched some third person RE7 gameplay to see the funny animations, talked with @canelablutegel about it a bit and joked about a headless Ethan AU before she told me to turn it into a Lord Ethan AU so uh here we are

It's just a dumb doodle, definitely won't be writing anything for this considering that Mold Ethan already lives rent free in my head but I might draw shit for this AU later ghhhh

Idea behind his design was that he's trying too hard to cling to his humanity and ended up becoming too human in the process. Hands represent humanity and trying to grasp that humanity (as hands are one thing that sets us as humans apart from other organisms), the hand mutations are where Ethan got his shit fucked up in RE7 (not counting the leg since that can be avoided)

Little sneak peek for the next chapter. Chapter 3 isn't the most well-written thing ever and the ending is really nonsensical, so OOF. I'll try to revise the ending a bit but I can't make any promises, so just a heads up that chapter 3 may be a bit disappointing. That's okay though since chapter 4 is where the story starts getting good.

“wHAT THE THUCK?” He ripped his hand away, severing the connection, but he could still feel whatever it was wriggling inside of him, under his skin, up his arm. The sensation was nauseating, enough so that Ethan vomited. Black slime scattered onto the floor in front of him and, oh fuck, that was the stuff from inside the bathtub. He watched his vomit writhe, spreading like rot on a log, and Ethan nearly vomited again.

Holy fuck, that was inside him. It was inside him. He just wanted to get it out, get it all out, purge whatever this was from his system and get it out. Faintly, he heard the laughter of a young girl.

“Who’s there?” Ethan croaked, ebony droplets spilling out from between his teeth with every exhale.

“I didn’t think you’d forget ‘bout me that fast, son.”

Victim 2 is @furiouskettle's Flawed Ritual Sam, I love how they draw all the arms n how centaur-like they make him. Also I love how they draw his expressions, they manage to convey his emotions really well even with his inhuman form.

10/10 recommend checking out their art, it's really awesome and their drawings of flawed ritual sam is just yes. I can't stop going back to read it again OOF

Hello everybody, guess who isn't dead? Well it's certainly not me OOF

Anyway, being more serious here, I've decided to pop in and give a bit of a status update regarding Molded since I've finally gathered the will to actually use this blog page.

Anyway, it's pretty much good news! I've hit a bit of a roadblock with the transitioning fics (yes, I've split it up into two seperate fics now), but I've also begun writing for RE8.

I've actually been working on the RE8 fic for a few months by now, but I just figured you'd all be happy to know that yes, the RE8 continuation of Molded is real and it is happening. Currently working on chapter 3, so not too far into RE8's plot yet, but I'm expecting the RE8 fic to be a bit longer than Molded.

I have so much stupid stuff planned for this AU my goodness, hope y'all are as excited to read this crap as I am to post it HGGGGG
