Why do mathematicians love pi so much? It's related to some shape, but they like that shape because it explains why pi shows up? Sounds like circular reasoning to me

Ooc: Sorry for the lack of any post lately. Without giving out too many details we have had a traumatic event that has impacted my entire college. Everything has been all over the place and this has been pretty low on the priority list. Whenever things get more situated I will probably start up again, however for now I am going to remain on hiatus for a bit.
