As a result of my outstanding grades in my study and the excellent performance in my job, I have been a holder of different scholarship and I am active participant in many research visits and scientific missions👩‍🔬. The last scholarship as at McGill University in Canada three months ago before the starting of the genocide in Gaza💔

However,😥

My life changed dramatically when Israeli military launched a sweeping war against Gaza. My home and our neighborhood in the North have been destroyed along with our belongings and precious memories early in this crisis😫

My job and my husband's job are gone 💔.Israeli military forced us to evacuate from the north Gaza to the south where they claimed it would be the safe zone but it is not at all😭

Forced to flee with nothing but the clothes on our backs, today, we find ourselves sheltering in a displacement camp lacking access to sanitation, medical supplies, food and drinkable water. I will not talk a lot about the dire and unbearable life we have to go through, as no word can express it fairly🥺😣

The good news in the midst of this tragedy, that I am one of the 22 women from the developing world who have been awarded OWSD- PhD fellowship to pursue my PhD study in Malaysia💪. But now I am stuck in Gaza unable to achieve my dream because Israeli army has occupied and closed all the border crossings😢

🆘🚨Rafah, Northern Gaza… and now, Gaza City.

Since yesterday, multiple reports in Israeli newspapers have highlighted the Israeli army’s intention to enter Gaza City, following its destruction and control of Northern Gaza. These reports suggest this devastating plan could be formalized after Trump’s inauguration.

What’s heartbreaking is the silence—no international body, no media outlet, no human rights organization has addressed or condemned this looming catastrophe.

We are facing a terrifying scenario: over 300,000 people at risk of death or displacement, coupled with the systematic destruction of an entire city’s landmarks and infrastructure. How is this not a global emergency? Where are the real protests, the urgent international demands to end this cursed war?

Shouldn’t such horrors prompt mass resignations from civil institutions that have proven utterly powerless to make a meaningful difference?

Every single day I cover up my eyebags with concealer and layer black poweder and liner underneath 

Its to express myself, ill say 

I just like how it makes me look, ill claim

When in reality, i lokk the same without it 

The deepness of my eye bags with mascara on top makes it seem purposeful

A testament and a statement on the consequences of an idealistic, capitalist society 

The reality is that i dont want anyone to know how little i sleep

I dont want them to know for certsin that these are not manmade scars, but the remants of a night spent working 

Authentic, non generic, carved from labor, red bull, and yawns 

I dont want them to know that despite my best efforts the eye bags are reaching farther than my makeup can cover 

Theyre in my muscle, bone, and sinue 

Four layers of concealer, setting powder and foundstion will never be enough to shake the fatigue from my skin 

Some days, i dont wear makeup as i have foolishly decided that hiding my emotions is a stupid decision and the world must know what its done to my face 

Yet

I always end the day covered in foundstion and blush because those around me can see right through me 

How are you, theyll say 

When was the last time you slept, theyll ask, meaning well, but all it really does is remind me that ill never be able to escape the hollow feeling inside of me that can only be filled with maybelline, a monster, ans maybe a warm meal 

My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. Even when there is no bombing, they can still hear the loud buzzing sound of the military planes above them, which would keep anyone who hears it awake. Along with everything, My grandma has diabetes and osteoporosis, so she can’t walk. She has to take her insulin medication along with many others; however, she has run out of many of her medications.” Am on my knees requesting for donation. Target $450
