Shang Qinghua thinking that Mobei Jun is inclined to kill people on the least little bit of suspicion, because every time he says "that guy's totally betraying you, my king" he doesn't even need to follow it up with much evidence or reason before Mobei's nodding and permanently divorcing that guy's head from his shoulders.

Shang Qinghua subsequently being really anxious about the prospect of anyone making accusations against him. Putting it around that maybe it's a good idea for everyone at court to just build up a pretty airtight case first, before bringing anything to Mobei Jun? And even though most of Shang Qinghua's proposals get a lot of blowback and resistance from Mobei Jun's courtiers (often just on the basis of him, the slimy human, making them) this one surprisingly sails through pretty easily? All of the demons at court are basically nodding vigorously like yeah definitely we should all be extra careful about knowing 100% that treachery is afoot before we say anything to Mobei Jun certainly all of us need to watch who we point fingers at.

Shang Qinghua finding it kind of odd later on when one of Mobei Jun's most trusted vassal lords levels an accusation against a far more expendable individual in court, and rather than killing the accused, Mobei Jun just says he'll look into it and then gives Shang Qinghua the meaningful "you'll look into it" glance.

Huh. Maybe his new policies changed Mobei Jun's own opinion on due diligence? Neat! He never realized he could wield that kind of indirect power in his king's court!

for metamy kid lore lwk im leaning towards the idea that he was created shortly after selena's birth by metal- idk if i want metamy to be together just yet- i wanna say he was created to "one up sonic's creation" and was based and inspired off of amy bc metal is infatuated with her lol- ofc after discovering his existence amy gives metal a big ol beat down and they co-parent tf outta this kid and maybe (hopefully?) form a relationship

i did wanna use the whole "he was made to be better than your kid sonic" shtick cuz it's funny- like metal making his kid to be better than and beat sonic's only for them to become besties

one thing i adore about fandom is the “[bad parent]’s A+ parenting” tag on ao3. it’s so universal and so sarcastic and it makes me giggle every time i see it

a Minecraft au where my oc’s can turn into they’re Minecraft characters and have god like powers because of it. but once they’re discovered they’re hunted down by  other god  like beings looking for more power. 

On a moshang kick but there's just something extremely compelling about the idea of Mobei Jun spending years expecting Shang Qinghua to betray him, getting impatient waiting for the axe to drop, deliberately creating opportunities for Shang Qinghua to betray him, still no betrayal happens, until eventually it gets to the point where Shang Qinghua has like, the fantastical demon king equivalent of Mobei Jun's credit card numbers and a joint account and free access to his bedroom and food and a great big cabinet full of poison and his detailed schedule and the exact time when he'll be bathing naked with no weapons under the moonlight at the one time every five years when all ice demons temporarily lose their powers for a full night and etc etc. Mobei Jun is doing trust falls (even though he doesn't know it) but Shang Qinghua just keeps catching him.

Until the whole lack of explicit communication and cultural differences thing explodes, and even then the big betrayal that finally happens is that Shang Qinghua saves Mobei Jun's life but then LEAVES HIM, he GOES AWAY, he doesn't even push Mobei into his own metaphorical abyss he just goes "this isn't worth putting up with anymore" and forces Mobei Jun to confront the fact that in his determination to be reassured he actually failed to prove himself to Shang Qinghua in return, which reduces Mobei Jun to a shattered wreck struggling to figure out how to fix it.
