i spent like ten minutes last night just finding a bunch of stuff for an outfit that’s probably never gonna happen. i was tired. i have no excuses

Mah Story! Imma call it Card House

It’s set in a weird mix of medieval, modern, and whenever Al Capone was around. There’s four main suits, or noble houses: the Clubs, who are kinda like the gangster-mafia bois; the Spades, who are like medieval with two shots of modern thrown in; the Diamonds, who are basically stuck in the 90s; and the Hearts, who are the artistic peoples. Each suit has a royal family made up of the King and the Queen. The King and Queen’s child is the Ace, and whoever they marry (or are arranged to marry, that’s important) is the Jack. Once the King and Queen are unable to carry out their roles, the Ace and Jack take over and become the King and Queen. The Jack of Clubs is Jay, the non-binary bartender of Clubs’ Tavern. They’re very flamboyant and extroverted. The Ace is Alex, the quiet server and singer of Clubs’ Tavern. She is pretty quiet when she talks, and is not afraid to deal with any drunks. She look like the least threatening thing there, but she is quite strong. Moving to the Diamonds. The Ace of Diamonds is Aiden. He’s chill, and prefers to relax over anything else. The Jack is Juniper. She’s pretty quiet, and tends to just sit there reading. Now for the Diamonds. The Ace is Ava. She is incredibly homosexual, but the Jack is a guy. He’s not gonna play a big role in the story so we’ll skip him. The Spades are where shit gets real. The Ace is named, well, Ace. He’s the first male Ace in 100 years, and the King and Queen would not budge about who his Jack was. However, his Jack was a lady. He met a boi named James and the two fell in love. Unfortunately, the King and Queen told him that they would never change his Jack. So Ace ran away on his 16th birthday, and he and James have been on the run since. The two will occasionally spend a while in Clubs’ Tavern, where they will be the entertainment after it closes and the people there are people they trust. Ace can play one hell of a guitar solo, James has a singing voice to rival Freddie Mercury, Jay can play the piano like their life depended on it, and Alex plays the drums. I literally added that part so I could have a scene in the story where James and Ace do a love song. So yee! More artwork and story to come!

I’m working on a character drawing and I’m trying to decide what his sexuality is. He has a boyfriend, and I’m currently thinking either bi or just gay. I know y’all probably don’t care, but I just felt like it might be a good way to start getting more stuff on my blog.

Tip for straight people: If someone comes out as not straight or not cisgender, don’t say anything like ‘Why didn’t you tell me sooner?’ or ‘Why did you wait to tell me?’ or something like that. It makes the other person feel horrible. If the person is super casual about it, then maybe something like ‘Wait, what?’ or ‘Really? Good for you,’ but never say anything that might be taken in a negative way if the person who came out seems stressed or nervous or give the impression of ‘it's okay if you hate me.’ They are probably dying inside because they don’t know how you’ll react. Take it from me, this is basically exactly what happened to me. I just want to make it easier for anyone who is going to come out, and this not meant to be a post about ‘wooo i’m mad at straight people because I had one bad coming out experience.’ It is supposed to be a ‘hey keep this in mind so you don’t possibly ruin a friendship.’

Card House - Chapter 1 pt. 4

Jay and Tally were alone now. “What is it?” Tally said, confused. “Follow me.” Jay simply took her into one of the rooms off the hallway, sat down, and said “Please don’t check the attic.” Tally was about to say something, when Jay said “You still owe me from the incident with Alex.” Tally closed her mouth, and asked quietly “Can I at least know why?” Jay leaned their head back and stared at the ceiling for a moment, before slowly saying “Someone loved someone else. That’s all I’ll say.” Tally almost asked who, but then realized who it was. Her eyes widened, then nodded. “I see.” Jay sighed. “Don’t let anyone know I told you.” They looked at her. “Especially not Alex.” Tally nodded again, and made her way down the stairs. “It’s clear. Anyone else find anything?” The other guards gave a ‘no ma’am.’ The three walked outside and waited. Tally turned to look Jay walking back behind the bar, winked out of sight from Alex, and walked out. Jay blinked in surprise, then smiled slightly. A voice came from the attic. “Are they gone yet?” Jay responded “They’re gone, James.” Another voice muttered something about staying up there and not putting a shirt back on, making James laugh. Alex smiled, and asked “Who e-exactly didn’t have their shirt on, Ace?” Another laugh came from the attic. “Why? Trying hook up with James?” Alex blushed and started stuttering. Jay laughed and went to open the hatch.
