it's interesting how different the raw materials are, and get treated, compared to the typical modern paper. using bark and straw instead of just wood, and such a long, repetitive process to get them broken down... hard work, but the result looks really good. i suppose it's still less arduous than trying to turn solid wood to pulp without powerful machines.
