Question for AO3 users in general:

I'm writing something set in the US with drunk shenanigans involved. All of the characters are currently of legal drinking age by the US regulation.

In said something I have a character who is not from the US, but from a country whose legal drinking age is 18, I want to mention this because it means said character has been drinking for longer than their current social circle, has better tolerance, has more expirence with drunkess and stories with It, etc.

However, since I'm writing this in English and setting It in a place in which the legal drinking age is 21, should I tag 'Mentioned Underaged Drinking'? Because it's an important warning in any fanfic, and even more important in one with drunk shenanigans.

I could also add a note at the start or the description explaining what do I mean by the tag or, if I don't add the tag, explain why I added that little bit of semi-cannon (headcannon?) info in a note or the tags in some way.

I'm not from the US, and open to feedback what should I do?

Interesting things I'd likes to point out:

• Lacey and Drayton were the firsts ones to get votes

• Crispin gained a ton of votes in relatively short time surpassing Lacey and got a lot Closer to wining

• Amarys was the option that remained without votes for the longest time

• The 'All of them' option gained votes at a more steady pace

Conclusion: Drayton, while I personally see him doing it on purpose and/or because of external circunstances to the scene, is still annoyingly iconic and Crispin either doesn't know how to read a room or has terrible timing.

How would you indicate/punctuate a message/conversation in sign languague while making a difference between normal diologue?

So far I have been using

*BlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBla*: for the just sign languague transcription;

["BlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBla" Narration]: for when there's speaking interactions of which the non-hearing character is not aware of or there's just no translation for them;

"*BlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBla*": for when a character signs and speaks at the same time;

"BlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBlaBla" Hey! Someone else is singning and the diologue it's just the translation: For when someone is translating to someone who doesn't know signs, but is clear they're just tranlators

*BlaBla,BlaBla,BlaBla,BlaBla*// *BlaBla;BlaBla;BlaBla;BlaBla*// *BlaBla.BlaBla.BlaBla.BlaBla*: To indicate the physical pause between signs for someone who's not used to signing

And the usual, *B-L-A-B-L-A-B-L-A*: for finger spelling, but If there's a diologue translation I'll just put the normal word.

I really want to integrate sign languague in my stories correctly, but remarking the difference between the communication methods in a graphical way. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Yes, I'm adding a (not really) secret third option because of the potential for a really awkard but funny, story they'd eventually have to talk about.

I need this for a couple of drabbles that may or may not develope into something larger...

Then during the middle of the party, she excuses herself and goes change into the suit, gets photos that she later sends to Stand and Ford, because she knows they'd adored the gesture and ended in tears, does whatever crazy thing She couldn't do in the dress and goes back home in the suit

i think mabel somehow finds a picture of stan and ford's prom outfits and goes ham recreating the suits for her and dipper's prom

This sentence alone can suit soooo many duos and ships that it's absurd.

Luna, yet again, being a bad influence to the ninjalinos.

Nori isn't even trying to stop them at this point, they know the answers they would get:

A. Luna uses the 'I help you kidnap them, so they're also my sidekicks by extend' card. For the last time, it was a rescue!!!

B. The ninjalinos use their pleading face, with big teary eyes and quivering lip perfectly practised and a weak plead of "I want to help". Curse the day they found out about his weakness.

C. Both.

Most of the time Luna just ends Up doing this as an excuse to mess up with Nori and/or give the ninjalinos a treat because she doesn't want their childhood to be like hers and if that means spoil them just a bit, well She can manage it.

Hear me out,

Newton gave Luna the tightest almost-rib-crushing hugs everytime she got out of the solitary confinement room.

Nori did It too just not as often, theirs were usually after longer time spams; however Newton's were every single time.

It's not something Luna particularly liked, she just kind of accepted it after a while. She rested her hands on his shoulder blade giving a couple of kinda awkward pats, like saying "Ok, it's ok, I'm fine now... Let go, please".

Newton did it to, in a way, make sure that Luna knew, she was out, it's over now. To prove that what she was seeing wasn't an elaborated ilusion that her brain crafted to protect her from more trauma. To ground her in the moment, instead of dissociating to the point of no reacting when someone addressed her. To remind her she's loved and cared for and that she has them.

Now, when the current story is on the lighter side (firsts 3 seasons), their hugs are...scarce. It's not like they don't hug at all, it's more like the hugs they do have are not like them. It's mostly quick Eye-to-eye, one-armed hugs; and even when they have an emotional moment when there's physical contact It's mostly leaning into the other or Nori being the one who iniciated the hug or secret space-gang handshake, etc.

However, in the final moments of the story, after everyone gets out mind control, specially after Newton (for the sake of drama Newton is freed last, so bear with me), both of them start a kinda-final moment for the space-gang.

So, Newton is on the edge once he's freed and that's besides the whole trauma the fake world has give him. He remembers the damage he caused, there's flashes of moments playing at lightning speed on his head. The people he hurt, the things he said to the people he cares about, etc. And, for a second, he sees Luna and Nori also on mind control; the rest of the kids think he's going to have a panic attack. But Luna knows how horrible It is pulling out of mind control, and most importantly knows how to help him.

So, she ignores everyone and everything else and almost tackles him into a bear hug. She grounds him in the present, making sure he knows he's out, everything it's over now. We are here for you.

Of course, Newton bawls his eyes out and lets the whole situations process, while reciprocating the hug and apologizing for what he did. Luna reassure him there's nothing he has to apologize for.

Nori pretty much yoinks Lily up and sneaks them into the hug, like the good big brother ninja they're, also how dare they having a moment without them? There's a lot of feelings and tears, a ton of apologies; they let out what they need.

And in the time-skip, Luna is pretty physical with the affections she has in general and gives Newton a big hug everytime she sees him. (He swears that she has broken him a rib or two already)

[Ok, this was going to be part of a Headcanon/rant about Newton and his relationship with Nori and Luna, as well as his view on their escape, but It expanded into it's own post]

I don't think GunnTech at the moment of the main story accepts nor has interns, could be a security risk. But, maybe during the first years they had a couple since they wouldn't do experiments as drastic, like the one for the kids and the implants.

GunnTech AU Character's Favorite Animal Headcanon to Little to None Explanation

or it's 2024, my current hyperfixation is @elmushterri 's GunnTech AU and I don't care anymore

Connor: Cats in general (for obvious reasons), but Stray and Feral cats have his whole heart. Almost every time he goes out for a run or whatever he'd bring a backpack with cat food, treats, maybe even cheap water bowls and leave them where he knows there's a ton of strays.

Greg: Geckos, it's Lizards in general but geckos are his obvious Top 1

Amaya: Everyone thinks is Owls (for obvious reasons), they were when she younger, but is currently Moths.

Nori: Crickets since they were young and Maine Coons, he thinks they match his own glamourous style sooo perfectly. They also do the 'leave food for strays' thing with the ninjalinos but incluing dogs, also he swears there's someone else feeding a specific Cat colony and reallyyy wants to meet them. (Of course it's Connor, I'm a sucker for this kind of thing)

Romeo: Ants. His mom definitely helped him do an ant colony in a bottle or a jar and he still has It, upgraded of course, but he keept the original jar.

Luna: Ferrets. Tiny, but mighty. When she was younger it was Moths and Owls.

Cartoka: Rabbits. Will correct anyone who calls them Roddents, they're Lagomorphoes.

Carly: Turtles. Everybody thinks she and Greg bonded at some point because they think their favorites are very similar, but they actually have regular arguments about the topic because Carly thinks 'Amphibians are superior' and has gotten on Greg's nerves once or twice.

Isabella "Octobella": Absolutely loved Octopous prior to GunnTech, because of its intellegence; then in GunnTech she got bullied for that, got the nickname then the transformation happened and started to dispite them (and herself). Later in life she started to redirect that anger towards GunnTech and work on her self-steem, but currently if you ask her she'll respond Shrimps. A Ninjalino asked her and agreed with the Shrimp answer saying they were cool, so she's a little more confident about that liking.

Dylan: He reallyyy wants to say Triceratops, but thinks is too childish so he says Rhinos

An Yu Guō: It's a tie between Iguanas and Dragonflies

Badriya "Bastet": She really thinks any type of feline would be unoriginal, so she goes with Bettles. Except if it's Connor asking, then it's Cheetahs

Rhiannon "Ripp": Wolfs. When she was younger she adored the whole 'Wolfs are solitary, cool and edgy' type of media; but now she's more leaned towards the 'being a pack' idea.

Hywel "Howler": Deers, oddly enough.

Kevin: Pigeons. He really resonates the whole 'all the Pigeons in the US are the decendants of old Messenger Pigeons and were abandon after they were no longer of use and became feral' thing, so he has a lot of respect for them and feeds them seeds, not bread.

Ivan: Polar Bears. He knows it's basic but doesn't care.

Newton: Fireflies.

Lily "Lilyfay": Buterflies and Sea Angels, just because Newton show her a picture and she thought it was super cool and pretty.

Daisy (Ninjalino): Hamsters

Eloide Mecano (Romeo's mom): Frogs and Toads. Not in a 'I want to dissect them' way, in a 'I have large specialized terrariums for each species that I have' and 'I love their skin's texture' kind of way.

Maria Martinez (Connor's mom): Fancy Cat Breeds like Ragdolls, Persians, Bengalis, etc. but NOT Maine coons because She thinks they're 'too much like dogs', she also goes to Cat Shows but doesn't participate. As well as thinking Strays are dirty and dangerous, so Connor has to hides the 'feeding strays and feral' thing (Shut up, I like RomComs)

Kimiko Kobayashi (Amaya's Aunt): Poodles. She grew up with standard poodles, currently has toy poodles and She reallyyy wants to have a Royal-Size at some point. Plus, She participates in Dog Shows; if it's one of 'the Big ones' there's usually a Cat Shows happening in the same place so I imagine Maria and her having coffee together and talking trash about EVERYONE
