etc etc Yeah this is about steven universe and atla. No I don't think a child should have to go through the inherently traumatic act of murder You want a kid to look at his own hands and realise they snuffed out the life of someone else? You want them to agonise over morality? You want them to see blood and injury and the light leave a human being's eyes? Well. Maybe this would work for some stories. But not as as the happy ending you're envisioning I've always wanted to write a story about a child messiah/chosen one character who is forced to do this and the effects it would have on their mental health and ability to even socialise with other children Like the ending of owl house where she doesn't kill the villain guy but she watches him melt in acid rain and doesn't do anything about it It's cartoonified so you don't realise it but that is a horror movie level thing to watch happen I'm not saying they should have done an owl house future but it would have been nice if they dealt with that a little Like hey yeah I'm going to therapy to unpack the time I let a man get melted in front of me and I just let it happen Because in my mind the trolley was already speeding toward that one person and pulling the lever would just switch it to the other track With more people And does that make me a murderer? Was that a choice I made consciously at the time or am I just retroactively applying logic to it? Did I actually just freeze up and because of that I let a man die in front of me? Also no I don't want belos redemption arc or whatever either lol I can't say if that ending was good or bad (leaning toward good) Just that it was also surprising to me that it even happened and it would have been interesting if they explored it a bit

My problem with star trek species redesigns is people always redesign the wrong ones. Ferengi? Cardassians? Vorta? Some of the most interesting aliens in the show and for some reason I keep seeing redesigns of them. You know who really needs a redesign? Betazoids and El-Aurians. Truly the most boring alien designs in all of Trek. Trill and Bajorans too, but I have seen a few redesigns of them, though I always wanna see more. Give me more redesigned Betazoids and El-Aurians!

My other thing about redesigns I kind of want to see them redesigned in ways that would still be TECHNICALLY Be possible with prosthetics Like ferengi cardassians and vorta stand out to me because they made them look like that with practical fx only So for me it's interesting to see how alien you can make something look while fitting all the features onto the proportions of a basic Human body. This also technically fits the lore of Trek better as well because of those progenitors or whatever they're called Orions could also use a rework. They're literally just geen I'm sure there's more I can't think of right now but trek is not short of basically human alien designs to work with While i genuinely think ferengi vorta klingons and cardassians are fine as they are Maybe klingons could use a little more spice and I like when people give vorta tails but. Otherwise they're interesting while still fitting Into the general plausibility of trek

I kind of like the idea of a timebomb rapunzel au because jinx has such ridiculously long hair so it's easy to imagine visually, but the stepmother character would logically be silco, but that doesn't really make sense to me because 1. His problem in season one is everyone kept saying PUT A LEASH ON THAT GIRL SHE'S EXPLODING THINGS and he was like no. She can do whatever she wants. Even to the point where it was actively detrimental to his own revolution. So basically I can't imagine him trying to keep her in a tower. He's not the healthiest of guardians but that's not really something he'd do. Secondly, I don't think he COULD do that if he tried. Keeping someone in a tower does not work if they find a way to explode the tower
