"I think that is a splendid idea." She mused with a smile playing on her glossed lips. He was a handsome wizard after all and she knew she only deserved the best of the best, Serra knew her worth and she knew she deserved to be courted properly. "Serra Borgin. Pleasure to make your acquaintance." She lightly lifted her hand, seeing if he'd kiss her hand like a proper gentleman.

Azure hues glance over the brunette, taking in her attire, languidly and purposefully, admiring her beauty. He could definitely have some fun with her, another night, tonight he had one in mind. "We must make sure you have one in hand at all times." A pause. "I don't think we've met before. Thorfinn Rowle." Something about her seemed familiar, but he couldn't place it at the moment.

"I really don't see how you could've missed me." Serra exclaimed doubtful, looking at the other witch. In her mind she was noticed everywhere she went and by everyone. It was her impeccable style and her looks that brought her the attention she believed to deserve. If there was one thing she wasn't lacking it was self confidence. "You know what. I'll be gracious and I'll accept your apology. You should watch where you're going next time."

esther's heels clicked softly against the polished floor of st. mungo's as she made her way through the corridor, her raven-black hair neatly braided and her green eyes sharp. a stack of parchments was clutched to her chest, the top sheet revealing complex potion formulas. as she rounded the corner, she nearly collided with another person. with practiced grace, she steadied herself, her free hand instinctively reaching for her wand before she caught herself.

"my apologies," she said, her voice cool and controlled. "i should have been more careful." her gaze swept over the individual, assessing them quickly.

"Are they?" She scoffed shaking her head. "I can assure you my personal owl is looked after much better by my house elf. "Well obviously I am charming and beautiful so people will not think of my owl, but some people need all the help they can get. So making a good first impression matters."

"The post owls are well looked after." Well-looked after enough, anyways. They certainly had more muscle mass. "I get that, sure. But once someone meets you, it's not like they'll spend all their time comparing you to whatever owl brought them a letter."

"I guess congratulations are in order. For you that is. I'll be sure to personally give Evan my condolences for being stuck with you." Her smile was saccharine as she looked over at her cousin, her eyes blatently trying to figure out how many carats the engagement ring on Alara's finger had.

"I have had a few dresses made recently that should be suitable for the upcoming weddings. Unless there are even more surprise engagements and weddings. If she is busy and I am in need of another dress there are more seamstresses available." Serra was a firm believer in doing whatever she wanted in whatever moment, depending on her mood. "I have not. Hopefully they do pick one soon. Wouldn't want him to change his mind."

Alecto took a moment to allow her eyes to glance over the dress Serra was wearing. It was well made, that she would say, it suited the witch in it. "I fear Leta is going to be busy for the next few months." With the amount of weddings that were coming and thus, required to attend them, perhaps being pregnant would allow Rabastan and her the option to decline due to fatigue. "Have you heard if your cousin picked a date?" Was she being cruel, perhaps, knowing the two did not get along, but it at least she was being entertained.

Serra had been off conversing and pretending to care what other witches were saying when Antonin grabbed her hand and they disapparated before she could come up with an excuse to say goodbye. Not that she cared about what they thought, but people talked. Especially because they were jealous of someone as gorgeous as her. It was only natural for them to be so. She looked around the unfamiliar area, confused to where he had swept her off to. Serra wanted to ask, but he had kissed her before she could utter a single syllable.

His kiss had consumed her, distracted her. There was something going on and she didn't know what it was. Perhaps he would tell her, perhaps he wouldn't. If it had nothing to do with her, she could do without knowing, but if it did thought she had a right to know. His words alarmed her, never liking to hear the word serious, but the compliments soothed her enough to listen to him. "What do you wish to tell me?"

He apparated the last place she had been and took Serra's hand before apparating again before she could protest. It had been enough time he thought, and he couldn't risk something worse happening. They appeared inside the safety of one of his flats. A nice quarter of London, tucked away. No one would notice their sudden appearance with the curtains drawn. Before any words could be exchanged he kissed her. The same fire in his eyes was there. He needed to be close to someone and he wasn't sure what light she would see him in once he was done talking. He stared at her hands clasped on her shoulders, breathing in slowly trying to get ahold of himself. "You don't know how long I wanted to do that, give you a proper snog, something too scandalous for that uptight wedding." He stroked her chin. "You are gorgeous. I don't deserve you. Can I speak with you, be serious for a moment. I need to tell you something that I didn't want anyone over hearing. I needed to be alone with just you, Serra."

"I am enjoying my free time right now. Summer is always my favorite time of the year. And I got a lot of new dresses recently so I am excited to wear them." In her mind the it was definitely worth mentioning. "You make a good point." She nods with a polite smile, lightly resting her hand in his, letting him take her to the dance floor.

"I know I could, Rita lives and dies by her adoring public, can't have a paper without readers after all, but enough about her, I'm sure you'll get to ask her anything you like, what's happening with you, anything worth mentioning?" He waved his hand at the mention of her escort's whereabouts. "I'm sure he'll find you when he's finished with your cousin, why not enjoy yourself in the meantime?" He smirked and held a hand out as if offering to take her from the drudgery of her lonely table.

"Hey! Like everything about me, my vision is perfect. I do not have a single physical flaw."

Serra's parents always told her so from the moment she was born, so that stuck with her. They didn't want her to run the shop, which was a good thing because she didn't want to run it either. It was better off left to the employees, they could get their hands dirty. Working was not for her. Even the idea of it seemed exhausting. She liked having her free time to do whatever she pleased. Like shopping and relaxing.

Regulus had truthfully never been a fan of events like this, especially weddings. He had never seen much of a point at all in them and he wasn't disillusioned to the fact that they were only an excuse to make people pay attention to you. He was also just becoming so tired of the extravagance. He felt like weddings were the only things his family talked about now. Bellas, Narcissa', his, it was just so exhausting. He'll just be glad when its all finally over and done with. He's stealthy in the way he grabs a glass of wine off a waiters tray, not that it would have been an issue, but, its one less person to talk to if he wasn't seen, all to turn and see Serra of all people ready to greet him. Really though, Serra wasn't bad company, at least compared to most of the people on the guest list she wasn't "Hey," He greeted with a smile. "Well, I've not been hiding, maybe you need your eyes checked." He teased lightly.

A little slow on the uptake, Serra needed some time to process what was actually going on, stuck in the deluded fantasy that this couldn't possibly be happening right now. It couldn't be some bad joke as no one had that terrible of a sense of humor, but that left one option: Malcolm actually cheating on her. Why he would ever do that made no sense to her, she knew he liked her, showing her off proudly and showering her with attention. "It's complicated? It's complicated?!" Her voice grew louder, anger and frustration obvious. He didn't deny it. He called Charity crazy, yes, but he didn't call her a liar. That distinction was important to her. Her world turned upside down again, stuck in a nightmare version of the present. Her boyfriend cheated on her and then submitted her to public humiliation. "You were gonna tell me? When? After you slept with me too?" Tears built up in her eyes again. This was truly the worst day of her whole fifteen years of life. "We're done. I'm breaking up with you." Turning to Charity she didn't bother hiding the hatred in her eyes rolling her eyes when she talked about them deserving each other. She deserved better than this and she wasn't going to let him keep playing her for a fool. "Yeah I don't want him anymore. Have fun with my leftovers. I know that's why you wanted him in the first place. Can't be like me so you try taking what's mine. Well you got him. Congratulations."

Malcolm was drowning in a self-made hell. He focused on Serra, her nose clearly destroyed, while desperately trying to extricate himself from the chaos he'd ignited. Charity, a ghost from his disastrous final year, stood opposite. The engagement contract, a desperate, callus-forming grasp at a solution, had trapped him. He needed Serra to leave him, to buy time to dismantle that contract—time and resources he didn't have within these cursed castle walls. His solution, a twisted logic, had been to engineer a breakup, something more dramatic than a simple "it's over." He'd known Serra wouldn't accept the truth. So, he'd manipulated, leading him to a hidden alcove with Charity. He hadn't intended to sleep with her, that intimacy reserved for Serra. But things spiraled, and now, here he was.

He struggled to rein in his panic, to find some semblance of sense, but a blinding pain erupted in his jaw. "You're fucking crazy,-" he said, too distracted now by his own pain that his hand clutched at that he didn't even hear her at first. Shit.
