Ok I hear everyone's excitement for the Christmas short story Rick wrote and the percy-nico friendship content but the real highlight was NICO DIDN'T PASS OUT AFTER SHADOW TRAVELLING HE'S COME SO FAR

Here's a thought: In tower of nero, when apollo tells nico about Jason's death, nico is holding meg's hand. He then flinches and quickly pulls his hand away, this being described as "as if he remembered his touch was poison" or something like that. Immediately afterwords, when he walks away, his feet leave a trail of dead grass, as a sign of his emotional turmoil. We know that he starts involuntarily killing things when he's upset, and we know he can kill people by touching them, so maybe he pulled his hand away from meg so rapidly because he was afraid he'd lose control of his deadly-touch powers as he got more upset.

Idk if that made any sense but there ya go
