I've noticed recently that I tend to incorporate things I've learned at school when I tell stories (real or fictional)

so here's my AU characters' Ego Defense Mechanisms

Lamb - Reaction Formation | Expressing the opposite of their negative feelings

Goat - Denial | Refusing to admit that they feel these feelings

Leshy - Regression | Moving back in psychological time; becoming mentally child-like

Heket - Displacement | Taking her feelings out on other subjects rather than the source

Kallamar - Projection | Attributing his thoughts and feelings to someone else

Shamura - Repression | Unconscious forgetting + Suppression | Conscious forgetting

Narinder - Sublimation | Redirecting the feelings into other outlets

I get riled up about a common subject: America's robust health care system. Every one of the (thousands of) dollars I pay monthly just means I pay a dollar less when the sick visit bill comes due. And holy shit don't get me started on deductibles. I am keenly aware of how other countries excel in this industry, showing actual respect to the people who live and work and breathe there.

So my question to my non-'Merican brethren is

Please share widely for a realistic picture of how little this cuntry cares about its people.

Imagine your f/os listening to you, never tiring of hearing you speak. Whether they have an interest in the topic or not they're interested in YOU and thats all that matters.

If you ever stop to say, "sorry I'm rambling.." or "okay I'll shut up now...." They pull you into their lap and ask a question to get you talking again. They don't want you to EVER feel like you're annoying or a burden.
