in honor of grom month!

Addressing the existing stuff and making plenty of my own! But it's not about the angst. It's not even about the healing, because some wounds never heal and some scars never fade. It's about how we go on anyway, and how life afterward can still be good and meaningful. I write The Owl House fanfiction, and my main project is an alternate timeline in which some of the worst happened. While coming up with a name for this AU, I talked with people who share many of the same conditions I have and we cooked up the name Broken and Beloved. Both Bs are important.

Kudos to fanfiction writers for writing about all the trauma and emotional and mental turmoil that the original content creators dont acknowledge when putting characters through hell

Just a fellow person who hyperfixates on things, and I've watched through the series and pored over the wiki pretty obsessively while writing my fic. ^_^

questions I still have about The Owl House that I might find in a rewatch but would love if people just know

• so.... why did Philip suddenly turn on Evelyn and his brother?

• what is a Grimwalker? how does that work?

• what is Hootys backstory? was he always part of the house?? did Eda just FIND the house one day???

• why was Tibbles in the "bye" scene? Tibbles sucks

• Why was Liliths hair cut?

• so does King know more about his future now? is their information on Titans all flawed due to Belos?

• how did Evelyn get to the human realm? what's the science behind that?

• were the hour long specials supposed to be a season each?

• is King able to give Luz some of his power sometimes? or is Titan Luz a one and done?

of course this isn't everything and they're not really articulated well tbh (happy 420 is why lol)

if you have ANY sort of answer or thought I'd love to hear it. I've heard there's a large fanfiction community and I'm already a dedicated morning mark fan.

im for sure still in mourning for what the show was supposed to be, especially since I only saw S3 last night.

Now nearly 15,000 words. If I have another day like today, this should be up by tomorrow evening.

Chapter 29 is now over 12000 words. Not too much longer now, hopefully. It'd be nice if things would stop being on fire for a little while, but we'll see if I can catch one single bloody break.

ART REQUESTS FOR POLITICAL ACTION!!!

Hey y’all! So I don’t talk about where I work on fandom socials because I don’t want to dox myself or whatever but fun fact: I am a scientist in the Office of Research and Development at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency! I am speaking now as a private citizen and not as an EPA representative. An article from the NYT came out yesterday saying that the reduction in force plan for the EPA includes a dissolution of my office, which, to be clear, is the entire scientific research arm and the largest office of the agency. I don’t think it’s a stretch to think that would significantly hinder the EPA’s mission of protecting human health and the environment.

It’s not just the EPA: the unelected and not congressionally approved leader (Elon Musk) of the unofficial department that was not established by Congress (DOGE) is (illegally) coming after ALL federal services just so their billionaire friends can get richer. I know a lot of you are not U.S. Americans, so you can’t do anything, but for those of you who are: please do something, whether it’s calling or writing your reps, showing at a protest, or just talking to your family (talk to your family about Social Security, Medicare, and the VA particularly).

This is about the constitution (which has been violated an absurd amount of times in the last two months), it is about YOUR public services, it is about YOUR worker’s rights and civil rights, and it is, frankly, about the economy, which is already taking a hit.

Every little thing that you do counts 🙏🏼 AND if you do something I WILL FULFILL AN ART REQUEST FOR YOU!!! I have never done this before, so patience please 💖💖💖 but I will do my best and I look forward to hearing about your action!!! DM me with your political action after you have done it and your request (I may negotiate based on my skill level 😅).
