I believe this was done because Luci himself misses home. Lucifer's lack of self-esteem probably came because of his siblings who made him believe he wasn't good enough, and that's why he threw himself headlong into the first person who showed interest in his ideas.

Even though he is the sin "pride", what's the point of pride if there's no one to boost your ego? Lucifer has no self-esteem and needs other people to lift it up even if that person hurts him, physically or mentally. And it makes me wonder what it will be like when Lilith comes back, and yes, I truly believe that he will forgive her immediately just because he has no self-approval and depending on someone else to do it for him which makes me believe that their marriage has a LOT of problems…

Lucifer married Lilith out of pure emotional dependence and Lilith married him to escape from Adam. and because of that I can't say if there really was love in the middle of it, I believe more that their relationship was not love, but passion and there is a big difference in that!

I like Lucilith BUT MAN, I'm not surprised she left...
