my core beliefs as a black woman:

for black women & girls to stop fiercely taking up for other groups of people bc majority of the time, we never receive the same energy in return.

for black women to stop defending ideologies that encourage self-hatred & misogynoir.

for black women & girls to put themselves & their issues first & always. we are often burdened with misogynoir & experience violence from all groups of people. let's focus on that.

to stop letting non-black women & even other black women (unfortunately) in feminist spaces tell you as a black woman or girl that talking about how anti-blackness effects you as equally as misogyny is a "distraction" or "stopping female solidarity." if they're saying that, then they're clearly telling you that they do not care about the issues black women & girls face.

to accept the world for what it is. nobody wants to change the current status quo. a lot of people are very comfortable perceiving black women & girls at the bottom. that's just reality. what we can do is focus on ourselves & each other. more inward, less outward.

nobody is coming to save us. so let's stop looking to other groups of people & from men specifically to do so bc it will never happen. stop openly putting any group of men on a pedestal. they don't give a damn & again, they never return the energy. it's about time black women & girls start putting themselves & each other on a pedestal for a change. no group of men on this godforsaken planet have ever earned or even deserve the right to be uplifted by black women bc they all have a history of mistreating us. they all especially hate us at the end of the day. i truly believe that men are not a worthy investment of black women's time. there's way more important things we could be focusing on instead.

and lastly, black women & girls walk alone in this world but it shouldn't mean that we cannot find community. when will we be enough for each other?
