The amount of happiness and warmth that Rody felt while listening to Deku laugh just proved how hard he actually fell for him. Rody couldn't help but smile at the display. He really was too cute. And the way he was always so gentle with Pino, it really meant a lot to him. Pino happily settled into Deku's hair, burying her face into the curls.

The way the hero said Rody's name made chills run down his spine. He never heard his name spoken like that. Seeing the other approach caused him to fidget in place. "I-Izuku..." The name was said quietly with hesitation, but also with a sort of longing.

There was a moment of panic that was quickly shoved aside by thoughts of how his lips were really as soft as they looked, and how cute it was that Deku had to reach up to make their lips meet. He smiled against the hero's lips, returning the kiss with the same amount of passion and delicacy, letting his hands come up and hold those adorable freckled cheeks.

Seeing how obviously flustered Rody got by his confrontation only made Izuku’s face feel hotter. “Y-yeah--I-I do a lot of leg works out because half of my attacks utilize kicks...” he stammered. Though, it was hard to focus on anything else when all his mind could focus on was the fact that Rody had, indeed, had to have checked out his ass to make observations like this. 

“S-so, you’ve actually checked out my ass...?!” he asked with an audible voice crack. What did that mean?! Did that mean Rody was attracted to him?! 

Oh god! How was he supposed to react to this?! 

He’d never been around someone who found him attractive before! What does he say in this type of situation...?! 

Izuku didn’t exactly hate that Rody had indirectly admit to admiring his ass, so what did that mean for him?! Did that mean he was happy that Rody found him attractive?! Did that mean he liked Rody...?!

        Peering at Pino as Rody explained that she could be a little troublemaker, somehow Momo had a hard time believing that just from a first impression glance. “This little one getting into trouble? What kind of trouble could she possibly get into aside from maybe playing with someone’s food?”

        “But that’s sweet you’ve had her almost your entire life. Was she a wild bird that just happened to befriend you or did you get her as a present?” Her coloring suggested she could be wild, but admittedly Momo wasn’t too familiar with things to do with birds.

A soft laugh came from Rody. “That’s a good example right there.” He held Pino up in his hand as if to analyze her. “Don’t let her looks fool you, though. Being this small allows her to be as sneaky as she wants. I wouldn’t be surprised if everyone’s hair ties started to go missing.”

“I got her as a gift from my dad.” Rody was relieved to have these sort of answers on hand. “I believe she’s some sort of finch or a warbler. But you definitely don’t see her kind of coloring a lot.” He lowered his arm back down to chest level, glancing between Momo and Pino.

“Did ya want to pet her?”

Yes! Rody has a little brother and sister named Roro and Lala! Lala is the youngest of the three siblings. Since they don't have canon ages, I like to think that Rody is around 6 years older than Roro, and Roro is around 4/5 years older than Lala. 🤔 Math is hard-))

        “That’s true, I bet she can sneak into very small spaces if she wanted to. Does she like hair ties for something particular?” Momo had never heard of a bird liking that particular kind of item, it didn’t strike her as something that could be used to build a nest anyway.

        Nodding appropriately as Rody told her more about Pino, Rody was right in saying her coloring was unique, a pink bird wasn’t all that common but Momo was here for it. Holding out her hand slightly, Momo stopped a few inches shy of Pino when another question came to mind.

        “Does she have a particular spot she likes to be pet on?”

Pino’s small size had definitely been useful in the past during Rody’s not particularly law-abiding job. He was definitely grateful to have a little partner in crime. “Hm, they tend to get lost easily. I lose my own a lot; maybe she’s just trying to make sure I always have a good supply.” How thoughtful of the little bird. If that was true.

Rody smiled at the question, motioning at the area on Pino to pet. “Her head and neck. She’s got a sweet spot on her left side.”

Being pulled closer was a welcomed surprise. His face was already so warm from the blushing, and now the body heat- he felt like he could pass out at any moment. In a good way.

When Deku pulled back, Rody watched him with a smile as his thumbs traced over his freckles. "I-It was mine, too.." He continued watching the flustered mess in front of him with adoration.

A soft laugh came from him as he rested his forehead against the hero's, a new calmness washing over him that allowed him to speak properly. "How about yes to both of those, huh? I have no experience in this sort of thing either but... it would be foolish of me to say no to those questions."

"...Can I have another? Ya know, to make sure this isn't a dream. Not because I want to kiss you again or anything." There's that classic Rody snark.

Rody never said it out loud... But it was true. The fact Izuku came to that conclusion threw Rody for a loop. How was he supposed to admit that??

Rody's panic vanished as Deku spoke of his insecurities, going into full support mode. "Hey hey, there's nothing to apologize for. I'm sure plenty of people actually find you attractive, but never say it out right. It's... embarrassing to admit that kind of stuff, ya know?" He looked down at his closed hands where Pino still resided, biting at his lip in thought.

"You have unruly soft hair, bright eyes, star-like freckles, a nice physique, and a personality that's like sunshine. You're... adorable really. I think anyone you meet will come to that conclusion, even if they try and deny it." Rody wanted to make Deku feel better, even if it was embarrassing for him to speak the truth about his own thoughts towards the hero's appearance.

Another loud squawk came from Rody's hands, his heartrate picking up. Looks like the panic was back. Deku didn't just say that, right? Rody looked up at the other to get a read on his expression before quickly looking back down. This was too much for his heart to handle. He wasn't expecting the conversation to go in this direction.

His leg started to bounce out of anxiousness, his gaze focused on his hands. "How... can you say that so outright, Deku..." The brunette mumbled, unable to make eye contact as his face heated up.

Focused on the words of his book, he almost didn't realize that someone was waving at him. He practically stopped drinking his coffee mid-sip when he saw who it was, Pino doing the same with her water.

"Uraraka...?" His eyes followed her as she made her way into the place, setting his coffee and book down to the side. He waved in Uraraka's direction once she approached the table. "Hey! Ah, I must have not shut it all the way behind me. My bad." Rody gave an apologetic smile.

Rody and Pino both perked up at the sound of the growl. "Oh-" Rody reached forward, ripping the croissant he had in half. "Looks like you came out here for a snack, eh?" He held out one half of the croissant towards her, gesturing to the seat across from him. "Wanna join me for a bit?"

Time flew by like the wind. Between classwork and trying to help Rody feel accommodated at UA, Ochako had barely enough time for herself!

But she decided to ask Hatsume for a new upgrade to her uniform and was passing the hallway when she noticed Rody's door to his guest room stood open. Sneaking a peak, she poked her head in but to her surprise he didn't seem to be there. Had he simply forgotten to close the door?

Scratching her head, she continued on her way to Hatsume when her stomach growled. Although she had a small lunch a few hours prior and wasn't very hungry, she still wanted to eat something.

I guess I'll meet Hatsume later.

With that thought, Ochako made her way to the kitchen to see if she could find a snack.
