It's okay to form an opinion based on the information you have, but that also means you can't just ignore or dismiss any new information that contradicts that opinion or one that gives it a broader context. Also if you realize the information you based your opinion on is false, like you can't just stick your fingers in your ears and blind yourself to the reality that you've been played.
you guys ever hear a character say something so gay you sitting there trying to figure out how you were supposed to interpret that platonically?!
We need a Big Short or The Social Network style movie about The Algorithm and how every technological advancement of a certain caliber in silicon valley has been developed to make us more influenced and more addicted to social media feeds. And there should be a scene where robert downey jr as elon musk and jessie eisenberg reprising his role as mark zuckerberg speak directly to the camera while detailing how user engagement led to the new white supremacists and the rohingya genocide.
Amd then we should turn palo alto into an ecological reserve via federal land grant
reblog to send three ghosts after elon musk
Y'all, if you haven't listened to the audible version of 1984 with Andrew Garfield and Andrew Scott.... DO IT NOW!
They are both such brilliant actors and the whump *whimpers* is sooooo good. I'm not a big audiobook person, but Andrew Garfield whimpering and getting tortured (it's incredible), Andrew Scott being a twisted villain, and the loyalty to the actual book is phenomenal.
So please go listen. You won't be disappointed.
Need I say more
