2012 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the ask game š
Weāre you tortured as a child? | That was Dog s*** | Yea⦠no, just no | It doesnāt hold up | Never saw it, canāt judge it | Itās watchable | Overrated but not hated | Underrated and needs more love | Solid wave of nostalgia| It still lives up to the hype. | Master piece | This changed my life
I grew up with the 2003 version
Watched the 2012 version
And Even watched episodes of Rise of tmnt.
And I can say with certainty
2012 is the best version of the turtles.
They had the best balance of action, comedy, zany tmnt lore and also BEST VERSION IF SPLINTER donāt @ me.
Also in my humble opinion the only Shredder that matched 2003ās menace.
I stan these turtles, and I stand them as the DEFINITIVE turtles
Lol, that is why Leo 2012 is my fave.
The show just goes on and on, filling the poor guy with so much angst and not stopping haha lol
So was no one gonna tell me 2012 Leo was supposed to canonically have psychosis before the show got canceled or I was just supposed to find this out myself š¤Ø
I didnāt notice this before but the way Leo flinched at the word ā failed ā ā¹ļø
No me sorprenderĆa
TMNT is such a bizarrely cruel franchise for what it is; EVERY version weāll spend 90% of the story like āHahe funny pizza š¤”ā and then cut to 30 years later and 3 of them are dead and the fourth one goes insane talking to their skulls in a bunker or smth
The girls are fighting!
One thing I've learnt about designing - like character design for example - is to trust the process, trust the instinct and to let some time pass before reviewing it. That means for one, when I'm starting and don't have the feeling of getting anywhere, to not be pessimistic but simply try out more ideas! A good design isn't something that comes from that one extraordinary spark of creativity, it comes from going through a long process of experiments and singling out those ideas, that fit best! And also- it has to feel right for me. I can come up with something that looks good but still doesn't feel exactly right, exactly fitting...but especially for a character, I will know once I've found something that works. I would like to call this instinct, but it's probably just an impression of an aesthetic that looks nice and works storytelling-wise. And most important though! Let some time pass before reviewing it and working on your designs some more. On the next day I will often find that there's an aspect I forgot to work out, or that I want to stress more, or I might have a clearer head to understand what might not yet be working.
I love the little details in this show! Raph holding onto Leo for support, and Leo keeping a hand on his arm the whole time, is just so cute. Such a good episode for protective big brother Leo!
G.E.M.G.Dynamight - Deku : hero partnersĀ
(but also lovers)
Hanfu and Motorcycle
Some Leo studies that I decided to put colour on (also Raph is there)
Its not a fathers day.
current obsession: TMNT and a little of BNHA. Stan of Leonardo 2012 and Izuku
