the unfortunate truth is people do not care about women at all. “well, no shit girl-“ no i mean i knew it was bad but idk it just really fucking hit me. the loopholes people go through to keep women comfortable with their oppression. the way people keep treating women as if they aren’t human beings. abortion is murder, but if a woman is killed it’s just another unfortunate event.
i dont get how people don’t take misogyny and sexism as the big deals they are. i don’t understand how you can hear how pretty much every fucking day, a woman is killed at the hands of her own damn husband and go “well maybe she should’ve done xyz” and move on.
the way women aren’t allowed to go to school, be seen in public, be heard in public and then go “well that’s their culture”.
women are called bitches, cunts, and whores, beaten and abused, and everyone just… looks away??
and speaking of them being called “bitches”, when you tell people that that word is degrading and people should honestly consider it a slur, you’re looked at like you’re stupid.
it just makes me so ? i don’t even have a word for it.
the one thing i can say though is i’m happy a lot of women are starting to realize this. the amount of girls my age who recognize how absurd it is. idk, it brings me some peace.
as a bengali girl one of the biggest reasons i used to think i was "nonbinary" was bc i was told it was normal to have an incongruence w/ womanhood bc of my race... who fed me this lie
why is womanhood based on a woman's proximity to whiteness?? why are women of color deemed less female for the not fitting standards made against us? and why is the solution to that to push us into some third gender instead of just abolishing gender itself?????
has anyone else experienced something similar??
in barbieland, where everything was perfect for women, men were safe. they didn't suffer, they took full part in society, they just weren't the "main characters". but when Barbieland was captured by men, women were instantly in danger. they began to be held for service and objectified.
the authors conveyed the essence very well and clearly, which not everyone understood
You guys… writing smut is such an embarrassing experience.
The difference between reading and having to type “her dripping core pulsed at the feel of his nervous touch” is astounding. God… like???? ahhhh what do you mean I have to write descriptive lewd words?? I feel so silly.
Maybe this is just embarrassing because my beta reader are my friends. No matter how much they praise me, it’s still so embarrassing that they know I wrote that. They know I’m weird, yet they still embrace me. Thanks you guys (if ur seeing this) ur real ones.
You can really see "women see other women as enemies" it's female socialization. Back then, women were constantly pushed to hate each other. We saw it through movies, novels, everywhere. And everytime, everytime other women were painted in a bad light because they "were trying to steal our man"
All of this content were made by men themselves, they knew if women were busy fighting each other, they would never realize men are the actual cause of most women's struggles. They knew if we were together, we would be strong.
Now most women are aware of who they should be aware of. I see so many women supporting each other, and it makes me so happy.
