@nessieartss i did it again lol
based on this ask and this ask because i couldn't get "rizzless sukuna" out of my head đ (and also Maki being one of Sukuna's friends is relevant which is why i tagged that ask) anyway, please enjoy!!
---
Sukuna canât keep the scowl off his face as he watches Yuuji from across the courtyard. He watches as his little brother effortlessly jokes with his friends, his face and movements animated enough that theyâre clear even from so far away. Yuuji has always been the more charismatic of the two brothers; always the one to make friends first.Â
Yuuji throws his head back in laughter, casually throwing his arm around Megumiâs shoulders. Sukuna feels a twinge of jealousy in his gut and he canât stop the grunt that escapes his throat.Â
How ridiculous is he? Getting jealous over nothing. Itâs laughable. Sukuna doesnât get jealous!Â
Except⊠the more he watches his little brother interact with Megumi, the more he finds himself wishing that he could hang out with Megumiâ
âOh fuck me,â he groans, rubbing his hands over his face.Â
âWhatâs got your panties in a twist?âÂ
Sukuna looks up. Maki takes a seat next to him on the steps, a meticulous brow arched in intrigue. Heâs quiet for a moment as he rests his elbows on his knees. While he considers Maki to be one of his closest (and one of his only) friends, Sukuna briefly contemplates brushing his inner turmoil aside. This is her cousin, after all. Would she really want to hear about Sukunaâs stupid crush that he barely acknowledges himself?
Ah, fuck it, he thinks and sits up straighter.Â
âHow do you ask someone out?â
Maki blinks, taken aback by the question. She holds Sukunaâs gaze as if trying to gauge whether or not heâs being serious. Her mouth presses into a thin line.
âDepends on who youâre wanting to ask out,â she responds with a casual shrug. As she reaches up to fix her ponytail. âAre you saying that youâve never asked anyone out before?â
Sukuna sniffs and says nothing, running his tongue over his teeth. His attention turns to his nails, examining them for any chips in the nail polish.
âItâs never been relevant before,â Sukuna grumbles. Out of the corner of his eye, he can see Maki shift. She nods slowly with a hum of acknowledgement.Â
âSo, who is it?â Maki asks.
âHuh?âÂ
âThe person you want to ask out, who is it?â she asks again.
This time, Sukuna hesitates to answer. Heâs never been one to be ashamed of his preferences; he always makes his thoughts clear whether it shows on his face or in his words. Like the time when Sukuna argued that the Star Wars franchise was âextremely overratedâ and Yuuji nearly had a heart attack (he still hasnât let it go).
Finally, with a sigh, Sukuna answers in another grumble, âFushiguro.â
The silence that stretches out between them is loud. Sukuna thinks for a moment that Maki might have gotten up and left. When he looks to the side, he finds that sheâs still sitting there, staring at him, an unreadable expression on his face. He fully expects her to start laughing at him, but, she doesnât.Â
Maki continues staring at Sukuna until he narrows his eyes at her, opening his mouth to tell her to just forget about it and fuck offâ
âOh, youâre actually serious,â she huffs. âFor a moment I thought you were pulling my leg.â
Sukuna feels his irritation ebb and he rolls his eyes. âWhy the hell would I make a joke like that? There are other things I could use to bully you with. Like your stupid glasses. They donât fit your face.â
Ignoring the comment, Maki goes on, âFushiguro isnât one for extravagance. If you really want to ask him out, you should pull him off to the side and ask him privately. Heâd appreciate that.â The bell rings, signaling that itâs time for the next class. Maki and Sukuna get to their feet.Â
âAlso, it would do you well to work on your tactfulness,â the girl adds over her shoulder as she begins to walk away.
Sukuna flips her off. âFuck you. Iâm not asking you for advice anymore.â
He watches as his friend heads back inside before turning his attention back to Megumi who is walking in the opposite direction of his two friends. Sukuna runs a hand through his hair, exhaling a long breath.Â
Itâs another few seconds of watching Megumi walk before Sukunaâs feet start moving, carrying him in the same direction and he mentally curses at himself again.
Fuck it. Letâs do this.
romance isnt dead
seen lots of articles and people saying that heartstopper was like "too clean" and that teenagers aren't that wholesome and they should be having sex and doing drugs and stuff and sure some teenagers definitely do have sex and party and do drugs but honestly a lot of teenagers DON'T and the idea in tv that all teenagers do that kind of thing can really fuck you up when you're like 16!!!! because you think you're behind your peers but mostly you AREN'T !!!!! we need boring teenager representation not everyone has a euphoria skins degrassi teenagehood some of us didn't drink or party or date some of us just did the kind of stuff they did in heartstopper like walk dogs and have sleepovers and skip prom to hang out at a friend's house and dance and have a good time and watch sitcoms!!! like heartstopper is good representation for people who just had regular uneventful teenage years!!!!
FOR @fushiglow â„ not me imagening stsg from their fic đ©pls go read it !!

I know that because the story takes place after wwx comes back jiang cheng's whole "i don't believe wei wuxian is actually dead i'm gonna keep obsessively looking for him" shtick got retroactively legitimized, but it is pretty important to remember that wei wuxian was in fact super dead the entire time and if it hadn't been for a depressed 20-something doing a suicide ritual, influenced to an unknown degree by a revenge plot that wasn't in play yet at the time of wwx's death, he would never have come back at all. And jiang cheng would've kept going "No! He's still out there I know it" for eternity with absolutely no proof or results.
Jiang Cheng, my man, what the fuck
Are teens really anti-social and non-conversational and stuck on their phones or are you just trying to form a conversation while asking them about stuff like their school curriculum (a tedious repetitive thing they at best suffer and at worst suffer from) while dissmissing them whenever they attempt to talk about their interests?
shh they are resting
