I just want it known that sydney adamu is a person. a human. with human feelings which now more than ever will be annoyed. angry. frustrated. regretful. and she has every reason to be. she shouldnāt need to be defended with every argument as to why she is allowed this room for her feelings. what she is, is a human, not the obedient little girl so many people seem to think she should be. where as her white male counterparts can scream and yell and nearly tear the place apart, she canāt even be mad about it without being called āannoyingā or āungratefulā. she may scream for the first time. she may yell. she may decide that sheās fucking over it and she may have to be convinced this is still worth her time. carmy may have to fucking convince her that HE is worth her time. she cares about him, and about every other person in that damn restaurant but that doesnāt mean she has to smile about it 24/7. I donāt want to fucking hear your stupid reasons as to why a young black woman isnāt allowed to be overwhelmed into making decisions you might not personally make. literally shut the fuck up.
The way this movie has been inserted into my frontal lobe
this is entirely me being very curious about how well people can guess what others will do and self sort. so to that end:
and pls reblog for sample size :)
Going from the radiant emperor duology to the masquerade series to blue eye samurai has been a fabulous experience ngl like itās completely ruined me for any media that doesnāt involve some sort of girl-thing with lots of Gender and a burning desire to become a war criminal but the dash is bussing the lesbians are fucking it up and Iām having a great time so canāt complain honestly
I don't blame Keeley for anything she did or said in season 3 because if my boyfriend dumped me and started dragging my other ex boyfriend around on a leash and the stupid fucking gay ass sports team I was supposed to be promoting kept losing and my nudes got leaked and my girlfriend ghosted me and I lost my company I would be burning London to the ground. I actually think she showed incredible restraint
So: A League of Their Own was a sports related film with a lot of queer subtext, turned into a modern television show where there was room for fully developed queer characters and relationships, while respecting the spirit of the original
& I just think if weāre gonna roll with this concept, then Bend it Like Beckham should be next
Ianthe⦠whose blood is that?
