Wall-E (the character) is a great demonstration of how being curious about the world echoes our level of care for it. And that caring can quite literally course-correct humanity His playful fascination with what humans left behind, his ability to find "new" on a dormant planet of waste refuse-- he continues to care and be amazed by and change things in a world that has not effectively changed for about 700 years. Wall-E commemorates artifacts of life by treasuring them on their own special shelves in his home. He lovingly makes sure The Plant is secured in a way that won't crush it as he's going home. He accidentally runs over his cockroach and worries about it. He tries to make an inactive Eve comfortable at his expense, not knowing when or if she will ever wake up again.

Wall-E has such an impact on Eve and other passengers on the Axiom because he invites them to care about small interactions they took for granted. They make meaningful connections and changes in their own directive because-- simply by being interested by them and what they're doing-- he offers a new perspective of looking at themselves. (Remember when he gives the elevator robot that little wave and it's so taken with that gesture it starts to copy it? It was seen and acknowledged when its role has always been to punch numbers.)

The spark that Wall-E shared with Eve, I think, is not only symbolic of his love for Eve (though it is clear he loves Eve more than anyone). It was that care. It has to be that same care. Because if his little acts of wonder and determination inspired every other character to break from their programming, who's to say it can't overcome a factory reset?

Oh, and "curiosity" and "care" have the same etymological root, apparently

Он и не пытался попросить убавить свет от которого его замученное существо совсем переставало даже делать вид, что пытается функционировать и поддерживать жизнь.

Он оказался первым, невинный, словно с неба ангел, хрустящий битым стеклом под колёсами, липнущий перьями в перемешку с дохлыми голубями на ревущей машине, мчащейся вперёд.

Он пахнет рвотой и страхом, в пустых, налитых кровью глазах ни тени рассудка.

Он что-то большее, оставленное гнить в клинической идиотии, супе из органов. Прожжённая память где-то на дне банки с мозгом, в котором смысла не больше чем в наливании чая в разбитую чашку. Обжигая стечёт на колени, мозг или чай? А имеет значение? Он бы на всё смотрел через пелену ослепляющей тьмы и тихого света, отдалённо пульсирующего в остатках черепа за глазницами.

Чего ему до них всех? Он преисполнен в своём существе, идеал баланса двух сторон, которые враждовали чтобы абсолюту было суждено родиться. Святое создание, вылезшее из склизкого чрева войны людей с перемолотыми внутренностями, цирком уродов и продуманной ложью, влитой щёлочью в раскрытые детские рты. Может они все пытались верить сказкам и чудесам, хотя настоящим чудом всегда был разлагающийся труп на колёсах, сплавленный с ними, вросший в сладкую ржавчину.

Ни человек, ни монстр, ни зверь.

Верх совершенства.

AHAHAHAH TY VERY MUCH, btw Let's find Larry is short, interesting horror game, I think you can find some gameplays on youtube. The game is short, but with the interesting plot and unusual way to show this through non-standard mechanics for such stories (kinda my opinion I guess??).

you know what? I don’t care (almost) what kind of response there will be. this is a crossover. Rain World and LfL, how do you like this? I don’t know how to draw, but I love making clay figures and writing, so I’ll try to explain everything with that. I really hope that at least someone will be interested.

I won’t go into details, one of the types of animals that inhabit the Rain World is slugcats. Slugcats are playable characters. These wonderful creatures look like this:

I made Willy-slugcat. that's it.

All slugcats have something like a name, for example, the purple one is called Spearmaster, and the green one is called Saint. The big chubby one's name is Gourmand.

Willy would be called Pretender. His peculiarity is wearing masks that can be obtained from dangerous predators. These masks can be used to scare away other predators. Another property of the Pretender is that he can imitate the sounds of predators larger and more dangerous than the slugcat (for example, the hissing and bubbling of lizards).

It seemed to me that this mechanic was very suitable when we are talking about Willy Mack. . .

I'll move on to Willy. this cutie silly boi:

admit that you fell for this cute, harmless face. . . but this is still the same Willy, who can only be satisfied with meat. he is agile, resistant to falls from great heights, fast, dexterous, and very resourceful. he has a torn ear, the tip of his tail is missing (someone bit it off), he is always covered in scratches and scars. lives on the Sky Islands - a region densely populated with a wide variety of living creatures. One of his weaknesses is that he is a poor swimmer, he quickly gets tired of swimming, but he doesn’t need to swim where he lives.

BTW he's VERY associative slugcat, so he does not squeak and meow like them, he didn't have a chance to learn. His only interactions are hisses and short “barks.” just watch how cats sometimes bark and you will understand what I mean.

Most likely neither LfL fans nor RW fans will watch this. well. . . In any case, I wanted to share my work.

Oh boy, the idea of dagon being chosen as the nxt grand duke instead of shax is killing me.

1. Their protective nature towards colleagues

2. Experience in leadership (maybe the head of the dark council)

3. Similar red sash as with Beelzebub (so probably a duke of hell now)

4. A somewhat closer relationship to Satan (like hell how do they know the great demon likes Hors d'oeuvre???)

I just...needed to let this all out, I know I'm overthinking this bcs I'm sure shax is the next grand duke with Furfur as their 2nd in command. But hell is unfair and I'm not so sure they reward hard working demons, not to mention Shax killed 70 demons under their command (sure it was against an angel but come on). Dagon's another alias is Lord of the FILES (disappointing they didn't have scenes with Belzeebub tbh) they could actually be nxt. Lastly I'm pretty sure Satan would want someone "close" as the nxt grand duke AND a Master of Torments. So uh yea.

Or maybe what if at the end of it all Dagon becomes the nxt grand duke and Michael finally becomes supreme archangel. OR Jesus doesn't want 2nd coming anymore, Michael and Dagon become fed up bcuz no war and then they decide to retire together. Like, I'm doing office work to get the war we want and now we can't have it?? Screw this we are out.

I know this is the most unpopular opinion in the world when it comes to the lost gem Wall-E, BUT I think everyone is wrong about Auto.

Specifically, I don’t think he was a blind dumb machine mindlessly following his programming. In fact, I think the very reason he acted the way he did is because he was self-aware and had developed some bad vices over time. If he was a mindless machine who only did as his programming and superiors told him to, he would have obeyed the Captain’s orders to return to Earth after seeing it was habitable again. I think he knew what he was doing was morally wrong, but he didn’t care. Auto is capable of feeling emotions like frustration and even fear which are clearly shown during his face off with the Captain. Moreover, I think Auto was aware that if the humans returned to Earth, he would not only lose his power over humans, but also over machine. Plus, he would become obsolete because all the humans would leave the Axiom ship which is the one ability he doesn’t have.

In other words, I think Auto was very aware that HE was the one who had all the power and didn’t want to give it up. I think over the 700 years, being “king” got to his head and corrupted him to the point where he stopped caring about humanity and was more concerned with staying in power. People forget that personhood doesn’t mean sainthood. In other words, Auto can serve as a cautionary tale that power can corrupt anyone.
