"babe?" you can feel your body being gently shaken awake. you groan and he continues knowing you're awake now.

"babe, wake up please." you rub the sleep away from your eyes. denki really needs to not disturb your sleep.

"what." you deadpan, finding his goofy smile in the dark.

"i want ice cream, baby." he pouts. you can barely see him in the dark, let alone with you squinting. you groan and get up slowly. denki's arms that were around your stomach fall as you start to stretch. he watches as you sit up, you glancing at the digital clock. the bright red easily spotted by you, beeping the time.

"seriously denki? 3:17 am," you yawn, moving the covers off. you stand up and stretch your arms above your head.

he apologizes, "sorry baby, but the dorms are eerie at night." you turn back to look at him and he makes a sad face at you.

"don't look at me like that," you mumble. "i'll get you your stupid ice cream, but you're following me." he smiles in victory as he also gets up.

you find a pair of his socks in the dark. looking at your outfit, only bearing denki's old t-shirt and shorts, you shrug as you tug his socks onto your feet. you go to the door where your slides were. "hurry up, you slowpoke." you huff as denki tugs a shirt quickly over his head, putting random shoes on.

grabbing his dorm key and your phone, you open the door and walk out into the dark hallway. you turn your phone's flashlight on and walk to the kitchen. "come on, i want to go to bed." you say when you notice denki lagging behind you.

he quickly jogs up to you when you make it to the kitchen. opening the freezer, you let denki choose what he wanted. once he was done, he sat on the kitchen counter and you stood opposite of him, waiting until he was finished.

finishing the popsicle he had, he threw it away and came back over to you. with a tired pace, you started walking back to his dorm, knowing he'll be too scared alone and that he'll follow you.

you shove his keys into the door and it opens. he catches up to you and walks in beside you. you kick your slides off and pull his socks off of you. he throws his shoes haphazardly somewhere as well. you put your phone away somewhere. you don't know where, you just want sleep.

you jump on his bed and he follows you suite. you sit up to look up at him. "happy?" you smile tiredly.

he smiles back, giving you a kiss.

"yeah, baby. im happy."

okay, for the people who clearly really don't seem to understand tagging on their Tumblr fics—

if a character isn't in the fic, you don't tag them 😐 i thought that made sense, but i keep seeing so many wrongly tagged fics it's really pissing me off. i'm done saying sorry for coming off harsh when i rant but i'm not sorry for this, it needs to be said so i'll say it.

(using the Cod community as an example here.)

if you write something with John Price, (example) than your tags would look like this; John Price x reader (or OC, whatever your cup'a tea is) John Price imagine, maybe even a few Captain Price x or Captain Price imagine.

but if (for example) Ghost or Soap DO NOT show up in the fic, there is absolutely ZERO reason to tag your fic with John Soap Mctavish x reader and Simon Ghost Riley x reader. babe, they're not in there, so don't. tag. them. it's that easy?

and for the people who are gonna get mad, "but it's for the reach! the more characters in the same world you tag the better the reach!" babe, i guarantee you if you just tag your fic with the appropriate tags, people find find them— that's how tags work. if i tag a work with 'Phillip Graves x reader' and any variant of those types of tags with Phillip Graves, people will find them.

when i look under the Phillip Graves x Reader tag or Phillip Graves Imagines tags, i don't want to find full John Price fics, that's not what i'm looking for, and Graves is literally not even mentioned once in those fics, so don't, tag, people, who aren't, in, it. it's not that hard is it?

you and bakusquad were chilling in the common room when denki decided to break the silence.

"hey guys.." he started out. "yeah?" mina questioned, looking away from her phone to look at denki.

"how is bubble wrap made if you have to wrap bubbles into the bubble wrap? and how do the bubbles stay in the bubble wrap..." he finished.

"that is the most stup-" bakugo was starting his insult but before he could finish, you had stood up and started to pace the room, interrupting him.

"denki, the plastic sheet of bubble wrap is made of different materials which are melted into a thin film. this is then-"

"y/n?" kirishima tried to get your attention.

"-flattened, which is put into rollers-"

"y/n?" mina called your name. "that insert vacuumed-"

"oi, idiot!" bakugo had also tried. "-air into the sheet to create the air bubbles in the bubble wr-" "y/n!" jirou cut you off. "yeah?"

you had turned to look at her when you realized everything was..upside down. and you were on the middle of the ceiling..again.

"i think you're on the ce-" "i can see im on the ceiling." you deadpan. it was silent in the common room before you started to burst out laughing, still on the ceiling. mina chuckled at you and denki joined you in your fit of giggles.

once you finally caught your breath, you dropped down from the ceiling to the floor in your spider pose. everyone went back to their business and you went back on your phone, forgetting about what had just happened.

until denki broke the silence again.

"hey y/n..?"

"hm?"

"you never told me how the bubbles stay in the bubble wrap.."

dynamight is clearly trying to go unnoticed in the grocery store, but you recognize him, anyway, despite the mask and low-pulled hat. knowing makes you feel even worse about approaching him—because you'd be too afraid to, otherwise—but you're not sure what else to do at this point.

you lean in close to him as he's standing in front of the produce, poking through the same bin.

"ooh, we need to get an onion, too, remember?"

he startles enough away from you that you can feel the foundation of your last ditch efforts crumbling. even beneath his hat, his light eyebrows pull down hard, gaze narrowing, and on the other end of such a fiery glare, you're reminded exactly why you've never wanted to meet him before: he's terrifying, handsome as he is.

"hah—"

you smile at him and hope it looks real, squishing into the space he's created even though your hands are shaking. "the guy by the juice followed me all around the store from the parking lot and i don't know what else to do." you widen your eyes, and you want to look, you do, but your facade is hanging on by a thread. "please help me."

dynamight swallows, and you hope his expression only seems so guarded because you're so close; enough to smell his subtle yet sharp cologne, to see the dark blonde wisps of his eyelashes. when he blinks, they brush against his mask, feather-light.

"okay," he nods once, and the gravel of his voice makes your stomach turn in some teenage way, that has your cheeks flaring.

(this is really not the time to be getting shy.)

he doesn't look towards the juice either, thankfully, and instead adjusts his stance, leaning into you in return, large and wide and formidable enough to nearly shield you from view. "an onion, huh? think we got one at home."

you can feel the warm press of his body against your own and it has you releasing a breath that had been trapped deep in your chest, has tears stinging behind your eyes. the sharp pain in your sternum lessens, and when you feel his hand come up to sit, carefully, against your lower back, dynamight murmurs,

"y'r alright,"

and you are.
