SO, I mention it in my about, but I will go into in some headcanons about how Ranma had a rough upbringing. His father, though he loves him, caused Ranma trauma due to his torturous methods in training and just his mental worth. I feel this can be assumed when you read up on how Genma trained Ranma but in the show it's all played for laughs. In any case, this is how I see it and it will be a part of my portrayal. Ranma idolizes Akira Yuki and you can't tell me other wise. He admires many fighters but he has a Akira poster on his wall. He wants to meet him someday.
