its dogshit takes like "Eddie is white-passing so he would help gerrard terrorize the 118" that make me wanna go outside and wat dirt. like some of u guys are so internally racist it makes me start scratching at my walls. Like yeah EDMUNDO DIAZ is definitely passing as white with a name like that. are you guys dumb? do u really think a captain wouldn't read the paperwork on his employee's? not to mention that eddie is not even close to white passing like u can look at that man and see he is a POC so fast.. deranged.

But lets just say hypothetically Eddie was white-passing.. he still grew up with a mexican father, grandma, aunt, cousin, etc. like i think u guys sometimes forget eddie has a life outside of the 118. We literally see ONLY his mexican family. Theyve showed pepa and isabel in multiple episodes. do you really honestly think he would let some random decaying white man speak bad about his family like that? like the way yall are acting towards Eddie is BLOWING me... Just say u hate biracials and want to use poc to prop up your favorite white guy of the week.

You know how everyone has heard a slightly different version of the same Greek myth? Like there’s a version we’re Icarus falls in love with Apollo and there’s a version were he knows the wings aren’t gonna hold but keeps flying anyway and a version were he doesn’t hear his fathers warning. In one version of the story, Athena is punishing Medusa, in another she’s giving her a gift. There’s a story where Hades kidnaps Persephone and one where he helps her escape from her mother. All the same myths but told in different ways depending on who tells them and to whom. Slightly different morals to gain from them but always the same basic concept.

And I just think it’s so fitting that the same is happening with the pjo show. Details change! In this version, Annabeth’s dad loves her from the beginning. In this version, they enter Medusa’s house knowing who she is. And this changes the meaning to reflect the time in which the story is told, and the people who tell it. Myths are meant to be retold again and again, thats the beauty of them. It doesn’t mean that one version is better than the other. And I love that Rick Riordan said I’ve told this story before, but what do I want to say this time? And he squeezes so much meaning into it!

so i got a hate reply on this post

and as i usually do when i receive hate replies i did a perusal of their blog and it was the typical worship of t*mmy that you see from this groupd of fans but of course this post in particular caught my eye

the fact that this person unironically wished death on buddie fans and then proceeded to call us psychopaths.

because we don’t ship a ship that has no chemistry and barely any screentime.

and they even tagged their post incorrectly because that’s the only way they can get attention- by antagonizing.

i have never once intentionally mistagged a post so that someone would see it and get offended. common courtesy is a virtue not many people seem to have on this site. and the fact that you’re saying something so vile and hateful because someone doesn’t like a character who wasn’t even originally supposed to be a part of the season to begin with?

maybe that is a sign that you need to reexamine some things in your own life because behavior like this is worrying.

So we've got

- New, more progressive network

- Showrunner change (aka the Buddie hater is gone)

- Tim posting a bunch of Buddie stills on his facebook before the season even started airing

- ABC choosing Oliver and Ryan to do most of the promo stuff and mostly together

- This picture (just the fact that they took one just the two of them)

- So many interviews talking about Buck and Eddie's relationship

- A bunch of quotes from Ryan including: "we get closer than ever this season", "there's a lot of changes in the relationship", "we're trying to give the audience what they want", "the writers have taken note"

- Tim's use of "right now"

- Tim talking about Tommy as if he's not sticking around forever

- The underlying sexual tension line

- The "you're not planning on jumping ship are you?"

- Eddie being so involved in Buck's self discovery storyline (even when it's indirectly)

- Family Feud???

- Buck being canonically bi

And I'm not supposed to think Buddie is going canon??
