one thing Maria still doesn’t like to acknowledge is how her creators primed her to be a soldier the same way she does to her own progenies. Or if she does acknowledge it she doesn’t see it as the manipulation it was, she sees it as “preparing” them.

They had been watching her for weeks before they “saved” her, knowing she would be grateful to them for giving her the gift of immortality and freeing her from her captives. They knew the rage that boiled beneath a broken girl would be useful to protecting their coven. That she would do anything for a family she never had. What they didn’t bet on was her becoming the most powerful of them all, or being the sole survivor in their own bloody wars. How losing the only true family she’d ever known would turn her into a more fearsome warrior than they ever could have dreamed.

I have the next few days off and I actually have some energy today so I’m keen to do some things around here. Since it’s been a few months I think I will be dropping any threads and asks I had before and starting fresh. That doesn’t mean the threads won’t still apply if anyone wants to plot further with our muses just that we can jump ahead after they took place if you like. And my DM’s are always open for plotting :)

She could tell this one had delusions of grandeur, latching on to the fact to toy with him. Not simply for her father's benefit, but also her own amusement. The hybrid sighs with a shrug, tearing open the blood bag and draining it empty all to herself. Some of the crimson liquid drips down the corners of her pouted lips which she dabs at with one of her sharp painted nails. "Mmm, I think that one was a virgin."

"And you really think that I'm gonna accept any sort of liquified nutrients from you? Thanks but no thanks." Strangely enough, this was not the first time that Nandor found himself behind a cage, in fact, at this point, part of him was already used to this situation. -- Was he hungry? yes, but it wouldn't be the first time that he restricted himself from any sort of meal. "Why don't you eat it, you might need it for when I get out of here and you need the energy to run and hide when I start shredding everyone into pieces."

The wildest part of Twilight is when Bella starts hallucinating with Edward everytime she gets into trouble and we spend the whole book thinking there's gonna be some supernatural explanation to her visions but it turns out no, she was just insane and hallucinating. Also he tried to unalive himself. And then we go to the next book like nothing happened.

if going off canon: Maria changed Jasper because she saw the racist fuckery going on and although she doesn’t often get involved in human affairs she thought it would be entertaining to turn a soldier from that side and prove to them the monster they were inside all along and make him her bitch

thankfully most jasper’s I’ve come across change some aspect of this whack part of his backstory but yeah. if we were talking smeyer canon then that’s why Maria would have changed him

This new world was something else. It was full of so many people, so much colour and noise. The thought of exploring all it had to offer may have once intrigued Didyme, but that was BEFORE her dear brother had placed a dagger in her heart and left her to rot under buildings for millennia. Waking up, the betrayal felt as the day prior, and now everything else was simply overwhelming her senses. She couldn't quite place how long it had been, but long enough that almost everything about the world had changed. When she began asking after her brother, a man had asked her if she'd tried looking him up on something called "Face Book". It was like they were speaking in tongues.

As day begins to break, the ancient vampire decides to bunker down. While she wants to think it was grave robbers who took her daylight ring she fears the more likely explanation - that it was Aro. Another betrayal, though it paled in comparison to his sororicide. Breaking the lock on a place that looked abandoned, a gasp escapes her as she realises she's not alone. Though as quickly as she'd startled, a thought begins to form. She hadn't seen any other vampires since waking, so she hopes if this stranger is another of her kind maybe they might know where Aro is.

"Forgive me, I did not realise this place was occupied." Her voice delicate, graceful. Whether it were another vampire, or simply human prey, her tone intended to make them let their guard down.

Daylight - or the absence of it - had been one of her main complaints as a newly turned fledgling as well. Those first few years how she had wept to Aro that she missed the vibrant colours the sky made when it danced with the sun, the warmth against her face. He had attempted to make it up to her by having jewels crafted that granted them clemency from the suns fire and allowed them to walk in it. Hers, an amber stone nestled atop a delicate golden ring. A hollow gesture when he had not allowed her to keep it after burying her in the cold darkness of the ground. Perhaps the historian who had pulled both her and Blaise from their endless slumbers would have something to help.

Pulling another sheet from one of the many cluttered tables around the house, a rat scurries from the cloud of dust covering the antiques. "There, something to tide you over until nightfall." A playful grin shot back at her new companion. "There is a way for us to walk in the sun, though it requires magic. A lot of it." Slender fingers trace their way across the books sprawled amongst the mess. "Thank goodness our shared acquaintance was a fan of the occult."
