After having time to process, I think the way I feel about that ending is it makes sense with the way things were written and how they showed Jeanette to act at times, but for me from a satisfying storytelling standpoint it feels hollow. To me, the show doesn't pack as much of a punch when it's not two relatively innocent girls with secrets creating a tangled web.
I liked the aspect of "There are no teams. These two girls are not against each other, there just are a lot of misunderstandings fueled by secrets." Now it's about a sociopath getting away with it.
It matters because I gave it meaning bitch
I want to fucking scream, I spent hours working on a resume so I can get out of this shithole and lo and behold there's a goddamn watermark
Please don’t flirt with me or I’ll start imagining a lifetime of happiness with you
Hey, as an American, if you Aren't one maybe you can show some fucking sympathy to the people who are going to suffer right now. The amount of posts I've seen from non-americans saying shit like "lol greatest country in the world" and essentially laughing at us is not fucking comforting and can be really upsetting. Acknowledge that this is going to hurt us (we certainly fucking have) because we didn't just lose Roe v. Wade, we lost so much more. Read the fucking room for once.
Rings of Power tanking is retribution for Amazon not renewing Paper Girls for a second season
watched Fleabag for the first time after being exposed to the "i love you"/"it'll pass" exchange like a million times on the internet and I expected it to wreck me but it was strangely so comforting
i wanna start a riot grrrl band so that a bunch of pretty punk girls join and one day at band practice i give the lyrics to a love song i wrote to lead singer so we can play it and half way through singing it she realizes it’s about her
I really recommend the documentary of Deal with the Devil on Netflix. The Story of Christy Martin
