He beat the sleeveless insurrectionist - the one who stomped Maine into the ground - in hand-to-hand like it was nothing. He managed to out-drive jetpacks and helicopters (again, with one eye) during a high-speed road chase. He was never motivated to be a Freelancer, but was still pretty much the best of the best (after Carolina and Tex obviously)

I just like when the goofballs actually turn out to be great at what they do - especially when they hate what they do. Really adds to the angst.
