yona of the dawn is an incredible series that does SO many tropes so well. there's fantasy, there's politics, there's iconic character development. it has one of the BEST slowburn romances along with one of the greatest found families i have ever read. yona, hak, shinah, kija, jaeha, zeno, and yoon beautifully written characters with their own dreams and personalities that make them come together to be the most beautiful group i have read. kusanagi created such a masterpiece, and i hope more people read it and fall in love with yona of the dawn!!!

finally reading lovely complex after watching the anime years ago and it’s bringing back all the cozy, giggly feelings i had. shoujos like this are so comforting to me! i love romance so much so this is such a fun read!!! love koizumi and otani so much!!! they’re so silly and fun! koizumi especially is so relatable to me. currently on chapter 10 and i’m feeling so giddy & happy. romance really is the perfect medicine for me. I LOVE LOVELY COMPLEX!!

i’m a sucker for any type of training/festival/games arc. it may not always be the “coolest” part of the series but i love watching the characters interact with one another and face new challenges in order to grow. it’s so much fun to me.

people who say fullmetal alchemist brotherhood is not peak and the best shounen are obviously deluded and not in their right mind

ever since i started impel down, nearly every episode has made me cry. especially episode 444, where the admiral tells ace, “this is the last time you’ll see the sky.” then ace just closes his eyes and soaks it all in.

it’s so upsetting knowing how kind & gentle ace is while the government condemns him as a “terrible criminal”. every scene before this arc, ace is seen being sweet, strong, & silly yet now he’s completely defeated. he isn’t meant to be chained up, he’s meant to be traveling the seas enjoying his life of adventure.

while ace is being sent to his death, luffy is doing everything he can to reach him. he nearly died from poison, yet his fighting spirit is still strong. no matter what, luffy isn’t giving up on his big brother. it breaks my heart to see luffy so desperate, but i hope he’s able to see ace before the worst happens.

this arc was so much fun!! the world building is crazy and SOOOO GOOD!!! every arc i love the crew more and more. seeing the scaredy cat trio try to find their way back was so fun. had so many funny moments and one of the best zoro moments! AND WE GOT A NEW MEMBER YAAAAY 🫂🫂🫂🫂🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷🩷

has to be yona of the dawn and haikyuu!! yona of the dawn is a perfect fantasy manga with amazing characters, slowburn romance, and has my favorite found family! haikyuu is just such a great story of growth and connection through volleyball. i love them both so much!
