Snow Flowers? I have never seen anything like this before. The temperature last night was 6 degrees. My daughter and I went for a hike around noon and the temperature was 27 degrees. I kept seeing these odd white shapes on the ground and initially thought it was trash. Finally, I knelt for a closer look and realized these were ice formations. Beautiful, delicate ice ribbons at the bottom of a certain plant - no other plant. All were found with about 10 - 15 feet of the same altitude. When we hiked up hill just a bit, there was nothing. They look as if a cake maker pipped them onto the base of the plant. So many curving layers, winding around as if windblown or somehow gently forced from the plant. Anyone have any idea how these are formed?
#baldeagle near Azusa. I left earlier than normal for a scout today. Wasn't able to get any great shots but these are still fun. There were two chicks and a busy mom and dad. #nature #eagle #adventure #photography #sonyalpha #sony #wildlife https://www.instagram.com/p/BvQVyDzFLtt/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1p792kq88ujl6
The California coast...happiness!
Shooting on the Chandler bike path in Burbank. Lots of great street art, old buildings and textures. #LosAngeles #photography #headshot #portrait #sony
Taken during a recent assignment to Alaska. This was near Lake George Glacier. A stunning location! I’ll post more from the same trip.

I turned to my left and said, “Hey, moose.” I didn’t hear a sound until I was right on it. I said to my friend, “Here’s a moose.” “What? Where?,” he replied. “Right there,” pointing about twenty feet away. We looked back to our guide for advice. He was quickly walking in the opposite direction. No worries. This one was a good boy.
Standing Rock and the Water Protectors lead the way.
Snoqualmie Falls with Salish Lodge about 30 miles east of Seattle. I was on assignment here recently and had a few minutes for some nature pics. I also played around with my new Zhiyun Crane and Sony A6500, a great combination. The water flow was actually kind of low compared to earlier Spring, but still beautiful.
I had just enough time on a recent DC trip to do one quick walk through the National Mall. A beautiful night. All pics taken with the Samsung Note 8. Love this phone! #production #photography #travel #adventure #sunset
