Shinsou x Fem!Reader in a band

Summary: Some of class 1A gets together to see Jiro perform with her band. Takes place in their early twenties.

“Shinsou’s here! Hey man!” Kirishima exclaims.

Some members of class 1A swarm around him, everyone greeting him differently. It had been awhile since the class had gotten together like this.Everyone was in their early twenties by now. Today they came together to see Jirou’s band perform. The venue could hold a little over 100 people. 

“We’re all so glad you could make it!” Ashido says. 

“I’m glad to be here. Excited to hear some good music.” Shinsou says in his usual cool demeanor.

“I heard Jirou’s band is good. They get booked for shows all the time.” Kaminari says.

“Yea, especially since they got a new singer. Jirou told me she sings like an angel and she fits in perfectly with the other girls in the band.” Momo says.

“I heard she looks as pretty as she sounds too.” Mineta butts in. 

Everyone from class 1A boos Mineta for his comment. 

“WHAT!? I was not the only person to think it!?” He protests. 

“But you were the only one to say it….” Sero interjects.

Shinsou shakes his head in disappointment. That was a typical Mineta comment. He thinks any girl with a pulse is hot. 

“I’m going to the bar. I’ll be right back.” He says to everyone. 

He makes his way over and sits on the last open stool next to you. He makes eye contact with you, causing you to smile at him. He looks down and notices you’re drinking hot tea…. out of a mug. 

He points at your mug and says, “They have tea here?”

“No, I brought this tea bag with me.” 

“Oh?” He says. 

“Did you want tea? I have extra in my purse and the bar has hot water.”  She offers. 

He was taken back by your response. Getting offered miscellaneous tea at the bar by a stranger was not on his bingo card tonight.

 “No, thank you, I appreciate the offer.….you must really like tea.” He observes. 

“Haha, I do! Alcohol dries my throat so I usually wait until after I sing to have it.” You reply. 

‘Sing? Is this the singer of the band? Hate to say this but Mineta was right, she’s gorgeous.’ Shinsou thinks to himself. You were wearing a black corset tank top with an army green pleated mini skirt and combat boots. You had a few dainty piercings on your face and ears that really caught Shinsou’s eye. 

“Do you sing in Jiro’s band?” He asks. 

“Yes! My name is L/N F/N.” You hold out your hand for him to grab. 

“I’m Shinsou Hitoshi. Nice to meet you.” He says as he shakes your hand, keeping eye contact with you. 

You couldn’t help but notice how much bigger his hands were than yours. They were rough and calloused but still had some softness to them. You two held each other's hands a bit longer than what was necessary. Once he let go, you both let out a small laugh. 

“How do you know Jirou?” You ask. 

“We went to U.A. together. Some of our classmates are here to support her.”

“Awe, that’s so sweet. Jirou talks about you guys so much. It’ll be nice to put faces to the names.” You smile softly at him. 

The bartender comes over and takes Shinsou’s order. He orders a beer and looks at you to see if you want anything. You shake your head ‘no’ and take a sip of your tea. The bartender comes back with the beer and sets it in front of him. 

“Can I buy you a drink after your set?” Shinsou says while bringing the glass bottle up to lips. 

You look at him with a smirk and say, “Yea, I’d like that.” 

“Good. I’m excited to hear you sing. Everyone’s been saying you sound like an angel.” 

“Yea, I get that a lot.” You get up from your barstool. Shinsou takes notice of your body. You rest your hand on his shoulder and bring your mouth to his ear to say “You can tell me what you think I sound like when you buy me that drink.” 

Shinsou nods his head with a sly smile on his face as you walk away. He looks at the time and realizes that the band is going on in the next 10 minutes. He walks back over to the rest of his classmates. 

“Who’s the cutie you were talking to at the bar, huh?” Ashido says to him while nudging his arm. 

“She’s the singer of Jirou’s band.” He answers nonchalantly. 

“SHE WAS AT THE BAR AND I DIDNT SEE HER!?” Mineta whines. 

“Shinsou, can you put him in horny jail?” Ashido says as she points to Mineta. 

“I’m on it.” He says. 

All of a sudden, Minetas eyes go blank. Shinsou had brainwashed him. 

“Go sit in the corner.” Shinsou demands. 

A mindless Mineta saunters over to the farthest corner in the bar and just stands there. 

“Thank you!! So what did you two talk about?” Ashido says. 

Ever since they went to U.A. together, Mina has always been in everyone’s business. She feels as if it’s her right to know. 

Shinsou lets out a scoff and says, “Wouldn't you like to know.”

“Yes, I would! That’s why I’m asking.” Mina pouts. 

“Hey guys! The show is about to start. Did we want to stand close to the stage?” Kirishima asks. 

Everyone agreed and made their way to the front. Kaminari and Shinsou catch up with each other as they wait for the band to come on. Once the audience starts to cheat their attention gets averted to stage. You and Jirou walk out holding hands with your other band mates.

“Hi sexies.” You say into the microphone that was set front and center.  The audience goes wild for you. You couldn’t help but to smile when they cheered. 

“So glad you all could join us tonight.” Jirou says into her microphone.

The members of the band exchange glances with each other. The bassist starts to play a bass line, the drummer shortly joins after. You start to sway your hips to the rhythm. 

“Skin you up, wear you out. Hold me close, I’m yours now. You can’t leave, You’re mine now.” 

Shinsou got goosebumps when the first note left your mouth. He felt as if he was in a trance. The song was heavy but also felt like a cold embrace. Not a single person in the audience dared to make noise as your band played. 

“I wanna be in your skin. Take me down to the deep ends. Two minds, one body and soul. I just want you to know.” You stared directly at Shinsou when you sang the chorus. Your intense stare gave hum butterflies. He couldn’t look away from you even if he tried. He knew you were singing for an audience but it felt like only you two were in the room. 

Once the guitar solo started, you got on your knees in front of Jirou. You whipped your hair in circles as she played in front of you. You lean all the way back, causing the back of your head to touch the stage. You belt out the ending words, “take me down.” 

“Holy shit.” Shinsou mutters as the audience begins to cheer. 

“Thank you. That song was called Skin.” You say into the microphone. 

You and the band perform 7 more songs, that’s including the encore the audience asked for. You loved performing with your band mates. It made you feel alive in the best way. 

“Ahhhh!! That was our best show yet!!” You say hugging Jirou as you two get off stage. 

“It really was!! We were so hot up there. I love our chemistry on stage.” She expresses.

You two dance a round for a second and give each other another hug. 

“Oh before I forget, I want to introduce you to my classmates! They should be waiting out back.” Jiro takes your hand and guides you through the backstage area. Once she opened the door, all her classmates began cheering for her. 

“Thank you guys! Your support means the world to me.” She said as she went to hug all her classmates. 

You and Shinsou lock eyes. There was something about his stare that gave you goosebumps. It made you question if he had a quirk that had to do with his eyes. He walks up to you and says, “I think I agree with everyone else. You do sound like an angel.”

“Oh yea? I’m glad you liked the show.” You say smirking at him.

Every time you spoke to him, it felt like it was just the two of you alone in a room. His voice had a way of getting in your head and being the only thing you heard. It made you feel as if every word he said to you was special and had a lot of meaning. What is up with this guy? 

“You still up for that drink?” He says as he gets closer to you.

“Mhm.” You respond, completely at a loss for words.
