Saints Row 5 Wishlist !

so, saints row 5 is expected to be officially confirmed in early 2020, so i figured i’d make one of these. you know, bc i’m trash. @volition

1.) bring back stilwater; and for the love of god, update it a little so it’s not the exact same map as 1 and 2.

2.) more interaction with npc’s; you can greet other saints, antagonize rival gang members, greet or antagonize pedestrians. 

3.) give us special events where you can run into homies (johnny, shaundi) on the street. even if it’s just a small interaction, or the beginning of a side mission, i don’t care.

4.) give us the option to attempt to recruit rival gang members to our side. i think that’d be hella interesting; if we fail for some reason, we have to fight them.

5.) GIVE US MORE TROY BRADSHAW CONTENT PLEASE GOD

6.) and not the ugly-looking troy we got in sr2, we need snack!troy back please.

7.) a better police notoriety system. maybe they’ll chase you and give you a ticket for hitting another car and running? if you rob a store or hit a pedestrian, they chase you with the intentions of arresting you, but don’t just start shooting to kill until you pull the first move.

8.) BRING BACK CARLOS MENDOZA.

9.) i also want a more in depth romance system. even if it’s just a parody of more serious games with more serious romance systems, i still want it. 

10.) whoever you romance gives you a special nickname.

11.) give the game more replay value by setting the character on a certain romance track depending on the choices they make. this isn’t a must in my book, but it could be fun.

12.) get rid of the super powers and aliens. they were fun in 4, sure, but it’s time to take the boss back to their gang roots.

13.) LAURA BAILEY !

14.) tobias and laura, even if it’s just for activities.

15.) bring back freckle bitches, cowards.

16.) bring back diversions such as muggings, store hold ups, ho-ing, etc.

17.) and bring back cutscenes for the start of activities. it gives more incentive to finish them, i think.

18.) a version of shaundi that’s still a little uptight, but way more laid back than she has been.

19.) bring dex back as one of, if not the, main antagonist(s). maybe you can try to redeem him instead of killing him? maybe he can be a romanceable character who the protag hates but also loves?

20.) every major homie should have a home or base where they can be seen acting idly; drinking, eating, shooing the protagonist out of their bathroom so they can use it, sleeping, etc.

21.) let us buy cribs again; and if we can buy them, we should be able to customize them again.

22.) this one is just wishful thinking but; maybe a first person mode?

23.) keep the cartoonish graphics, it fits the game more than realistic graphics would tbh.

24.) our choices in the game should carve what ending we end up getting, at least a little bit.

25.) kinzie and matt trying to get used to the gang life; they can’t just hack their ways into other gangs hideouts this time. 

26.) donnie joins the saints, finally, but only after doing a few missions to earn his trust. after unlocking him, we should be able to take our vehicles to his shop and get a discount on customization.

27.) the protagonist has a few missions dealing with their daddy issues and such.

28.) bring back the loyalty missions from 4, where the protagonist has the option to do them or not. maybe the loyalty missions are just homies inviting the boss out for a drink, or maybe they go to fight a few gang rivals, whatever.

29.) pierce or johnny keeps calling the protagonist and asking them if they want to go bowling. the player can choose to answer it, but the protag sounds a little more irritated every time they do.

30.) old gang members from old rival gangs sometimes try to take down the protagonist.

Human or Doppel?| That’s not my Neighbor| Francis Mosses x F! Reader OneShot

Scenario: You work at your apartment as a doorman to make sure no doppelgangers get inside the building to eat you and your neighbors. The job seemed easy at first since the Doppelgangers kept fucking up their disguises but lately...they've been getting smarter, so it's harder for you to tell apart the doppels from your actual neighbors. Which starts to make you paranoid.

One night you come home and see your husband, Francis Mosses, sitting on the couch. Your paranoia starts to come again out of nowhere and you start to suspect your husband was a doppel..." a perfect doppel". Now the question kept playing in your mind...

~Was he actually human? Or a doppelganger?~

After another stressful day of work as a doorman, [Name] finally reaches her apartment. She unlocks the door, steps inside, and immediately spots Francis sitting on the sofa, reading a book. She remembers buzzing him in earlier, but a creeping sense of paranoia starts to settle in.

What if he was just a perfect doppelganger? Just waiting to strike…her body tenses at the thought.

Francis glances up from his book as soon as he realizes she’s home, but he can already tell something is off. “Mmm, darling? Is something wrong?” he asks, watching her carefully.

[Name] snaps out of her trance. “Oh, uhm… nothing’s wrong. Just tired from work today. Those doppelgängers are a lot of work…” She doesn’t want him to know what she’s thinking. If she tells him, and if he is a doppelgänger… she’s screwed.

Francis sets his book aside and stands up, walking toward her at a slow, deliberate pace. As he gets closer, she catches the familiar scent of warm milk on him. He wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her close. “Are you sure everything’s alright?” he murmurs. “You’ve got a serious look on your face.”

[Name] forces a smile as she meets his tired eyes.“I’m fine, honey,” she lies. A whole-ass fetus could tell she was lying. She’s terrible at hiding her nerves.

Francis studies her carefully, concern settling into his features. “Mmm… you don’t look fine, darling. Are you sure nothing’s wrong?” His voice lowers. “I’m getting the feeling that you’ve been having doubts about me. About me being a doppelgänger.”

[Name] freezes. Fucking hell… how did he figure it out so fast?! “W-What? What makes you think that…?” She tries to feign innocence, but it’s useless. She’s already been caught.

Francis sighs, his expression softening as he tightens his arms around her. “Darling… the past few days, I’ve seen it in your eyes. I can tell you’ve been doubting me.” His voice drops to a whisper. “Please don’t tell me… you think I’m a doppelgänger?”

[Name] stares at him, debating whether or not to admit the truth. Francis senses her hesitation and gently lifts her chin, his eyes locking onto hers.

“Darling,” he says softly, “please don’t be afraid to tell me. I know the kind of things you deal with at work. I know how smart the doppelgängers are getting. But if that’s what’s been weighing on you… please, just say it.”

She exhales a shaky sigh and nods. “I’m sorry, Francis… it’s just—this job, these doppelgangers… they’re getting in my head. They keep getting smarter, and it’s making me paranoid.”

Francis sighs, rubbing slow circles on her back. He presses a gentle kiss to her forehead, holding her tighter. “I understand, darling. I understand your fears,” he whispers. “But I swear to you, I’m not a doppelgänger. I’m real. I’m me. I love you. I’m your husband.”

[Name] rests her head against his chest, letting herself believe him. Her paranoia had been wrong. She just needed to breathe. Francis can tell she’s overwhelmed. He runs his fingers through her hair, his voice low and soothing.

“Why don’t you forget about work for a while and just relax? I’ll make you some hot cocoa with extra chocolate milk, just the way you like it. Sound good?” She lifts her head to look at him. “Yeah… that sounds perfect. Thank you, Francis. I’m lucky to have you.”

He smiles, stroking her hair affectionately. Leaning in, he presses another soft kiss to her forehead. “Mmm… I’m the lucky one, darling. I’ll be right back with your cocoa, okay?”

She nods as he lets her go, moving to the couch while he heads to the kitchen. As Francis prepares the cocoa, he hums a quiet tune to himself, the warm scent of chocolate filling the air.

Five minutes later, he returns with a steaming mug, settling beside her. He hands it over with a smile. “Here you go, darling. Fresh hot cocoa, extra chocolate milk. Just the way you like it.”

[Name] takes the mug carefully, blowing on it before taking a sip. So good. Francis always made the best hot cocoa. “This is already making me feel better,” she murmurs. “I love you, Francis. Thank you… for everything.”

Francis smiles as he watches her relax. He wraps an arm around her waist, pulling her close. “Mmm… I’m so glad. I’ll always be here whenever you’re feeling nervous. I love you so much, darling… I don’t know what I’d do without you. You’re everything to me.”

His words make her blush as she nuzzles into his chest, sipping her cocoa. They stay like that for the rest of the night, wrapped in each other’s warmth.

Hope you enjoyed reading! I've been dying to make a "That's Not My Neighbor" story for a while now, and I finally made one! I would've made a twist ending, but decided to just go wholesome if that's alright.

Talking about Overhaul because I can not stop yapping about him. Little analysis.

Overhaul’s design is clearly inspired by a bird, yet this symbolism isn’t discussed enough in the fandom. When Kai Chisaki became Overhaul, he essentially underwent a rebirth, transforming into something he saw as superior. Chisaki and Overhaul are almost like two different people.

With this transformation, Overhaul also gained a sense of freedom. Birds symbolize freedom, and as the boss of the Shie Hassaikai, he had the power to do whatever he wanted. He controlled his own organization, dictated its future, and pursued his vision without restrictions. In that sense, his bird-like design reflects his newfound independence.

However, one could argue that the bird symbolism actually represents imprisonment rather than freedom. When Chisaki became Overhaul, he unknowingly trapped himself in a metaphorical cage. His actions ultimately aligned with All For One’s larger scheme, making him nothing more than a pawn in a greater plan. While Overhaul had his own motives, his quirk-erasing bullets ended up in the hands of Shigaraki and Dr. Garaki, playing a crucial role in the war.

So, was Overhaul truly free? Or was he just another captive of fate, bound by the very power he thought made him untouchable?
