I really love that even though Ilia has been crushing on Blake the writers weren’t lazy enough to use that for unnecessary drama between them. Ilia wanted to hand Blake over to Adam because she believed that this was the only way to achieve equality, not because Blake has rejected her. All conflict between them comes from a different understanding of what is right and what is necessary. They are both victims of Adam’s toxic ideology. 

But Blake is the one who eventually offers Ilia an alternative. Blake is the one who reaches out to her and pulls her away from this destructive path. And when Ilia finally makes her choice Blake is the first to forgive her, for everything, just like that. 

Ilia’s love for Blake might have been one sided, but it still caused something positive to happen in Ilia’s life. It still helped her through this in a way. 

I’m so happy with how the writers handled Ilia and her crush on Blake. 

These were just quick warmups to get back to drawing again, I kinda like them though
