Why do we say that capitalism must be “dismantled”?

You’ll hear phrases like “Smash the state!” “Eat the rich!” and “Smash capitalism!”

And, yes, of course, but… :)

However relevant those sayings are, our work must be careful, highly organized and above all planned.

Because capitalism and all of its associated systems are not discrete, abstracted entities we can attack independently.

It is a structure, like a complicated machine with many thousands of working parts…

And right now it is connected to absolutely everything.

If we do this… [picks up huge hammer and smashes the machine]

Then a lot of vulnerable people will die.

The machine was built and improved and redesigned and patched over the course of generations. It is very good at its intended purpose, which is ultimately to generate profit.

Every human being alive today relies on the byproducts of the machine to survive, without exception.

The machine’s engineers want it to keep working like it does. In fact, they want to optimise it.

That will kill all remaining life on Earth.

So, we must destroy the machine, quickly and carefully

We must examine its deadly programs and mechanics and replace them with alternatives we built together.

The engineers don’t want us tampering with the machine.

However, we make it run…

So we can make it STOP. Together.

So we all know how in the early days of the dsmp it was heavily based off Hamilton, right? Well what if in stead of that it was based off Ninjago? Well I’m a streamer (my twitch is in my bio? I’ll also put it in the comments) and I want to make a lore sever with that premise, and if other streamers here want to join feel free to comment so

So I just realize something, In season 8/9 harumi’s whole motivation was getting revenge on the ninja for the great devour, jump forward to season 16 and she’s working with pythor… you know the snake that released the great devour…just saying

so I LOVE storytelling in the sims, and I love legacy challenges because following a single family is SO fun for me and watching townie families evolve as my family goes on is just as exciting. The one thing I’m not a huge fan of is how a lot of legacy challenges set out specific traits and storylines for players to follow, when my favorite part of the sims is figuring out sims’ personalities for themselves. SO.

I wrote my own challenge with a little less structure, just to allow players some more storytelling freedom (but still have some goals to chase). This is a NINE (9) generation challenge, based off of nine gems, all of which are collectable in base game.
