The fact there's no universe where Jayce and Viktor can be happy together destroys me.

They're bound together, and they cannot exist without one another. They will never find their happy ending.

The problem is that Jayce thinks of Viktor as is own. His invention. His fault. His problem that he must solve.

He’s always one step behind because he never listens to Viktor, never tries to understand his perspective on things and then he gets trapped into feelings of guilt.

“oh I should have listened” “oh it should have been me instead of him” and now “oh I’m the one who needs to fix all this mess”.

To me it just shows that he never saw Viktor as equal at all.

At one point he might have thought of him as this fragile man that he must protect.

And then, that fragile man became something distant. Something that he doesn’t understand. Something he created and now must destroy.
