There was nothing quite like going for a random walk. The urge hadn’t hit you for a very long time- so long in fact a small tremor of fear shot through you. It couldn’t be him. He’d been destroyed with the creation of the new worlds and the new timeline. Simply put, there wasn’t a way for him to reach through the ever calling void to pluck your strings. But for a moment you were reminded of your time on Alternia. You’d traversed that planet in a mind controlled haze and it was an experience that left you shaken. One you never wished to experience again. So when the urge to get up and go somewhere hit you it had taken you an embarrassingly long time to calm your racing heart. It was an ordinary urge, one that didn’t mean you were back under his control. Still, you were anxious as you stepped out of your front door. Your little corner of the world wasn’t all that exciting. A welcome reprieve from the constant action Alternia had given you. As it was, the neighborhood was as calm as any other day. Afternoon sunlight filtered over the houses and across the sidewalks giving everything a warm feeling. There was no reason for your anxiety. Even so, you took careful steps. You weren’t interested in making friends this time around. Just going for a simple walk. Your coat kept the autumn chill off and you were happy about your sturdy boots. Both had cost you pretty penny but the price had been well worth the quality. It also helped that they looked damn good on you.
It took less time than you remembered to reach downtown. Everything a steady stream of people and activity. People were no doubt doing last minute shopping. You wandered down the streets with no particular destination in mind. There was a little hole in the wall coffee shop not too far away that you liked to frequent. They had some of the best drinks and their prices didn’t leave your wallet openly weeping. Then there was the bakery not too far away that had the best donuts you’d ever had. Among all the shops there was plenty to choose from that you’d enjoy. You decided to go to the coffee shop first. The darker lighting and overstuffed armchairs hidden in the corners were exactly what would set your mind at ease. They had no bell to alert them to customers- music soft but unmistakable floated through the air. That wonderful coffee smell permeated the building and it took little time for the barista to get your drink made and hand it to you. Dropping a tip into the tip jar you took your drink and sat in the furthest arm chair you could find from the door and the drink station. As far as anyone was concerned you were simply part of the backdrop. Pulling out your phone you scroll through the latest news feeds and try not to lose your will to live. Things will always keep happening and quite frankly you aren’t sure how much you can take anymore. Or rather, what was that popular quote? Something about drawing a line somewhere and looking deep inside of yourself for what you’re willing to put up with today. Either way it isn’t this shit.
You’re so engrossed in the latest bullshit your country is spouting you almost don’t notice the new occupant of the coffee shop. Almost. Too many years being on a hair-trigger of flight or fight have engrained a deep sense of your surroundings. Even if they hadn’t you’d recognize this particular customer anywhere. Her hat is pulled low over her face and her steps purposely soundless. You both know that the barista and the other customers haven’t noticed her. There is only the steady swish of her coat as she walks and even that is drowned out by the music. You look down at your phone and watch her out of your peripherals. She takes a seat across from you as silent as a phantom which is just the way she likes it. You both know that you’ve seen each other. She makes no move to talk and neither do you. If she sought you out then that means there’s a problem. None of your other friends had reached out to you and while you hadn’t attempted to hide you made no move to reach out first. It would be a long time before you felt secure enough to reach out first in your friendships again.
“He’s gone.” She says barely a whisper. You bob your head in a nod. Its a statement not a question. “I’ve managed to keep tabs on all of our mutual acquaintances.”
“I expected nothing less from you.”
“Adalov has been cyberstalking you.” That makes you glance up. There’s the barest hint of an amused smile on her lips. You raise a brow for her to continue. You weren’t completely unaware but if Boldir is bringing it up then its more significant than you gave credit for.
“He’s been methodically going through every scrap of information about you he can get his claws on.” She pauses to take your drink from you and take a sip, you let her because despite everything you still consider her a friend. You’re pretty sure she knows this too. “He started out doing so of his own volition, however, I believe an acquaintance of yours- Dirk Strider- is also cyberstalking you. Adalov has taken note of that and started stalking him as well-,”
“Which in turn means Dirk is stalking him.” That almost makes you laugh, the two of them stalking each other to see what the other is up to is just the type of Spy vs Spy bullshit that only leads to further shenanigans. Even Boldir has a look that says she thinks its equally as amusing. The two of you sit in a momentary silence. A comforting thing you’d almost forgot to miss. Now it settles around you like a warm blanket. Taking your drink back from Boldir you take a sip.
“I have a feeling Adalov and Strider will try and contact you at some point soon. I thought...” She hesitates for a moment- eyes darting, “I thought I should warn you so that you aren’t caught by surprise. I know the control he had over you has made you wary.”
“Boldir... I may not have reached out but that doesn’t mean I’ve missed you any less. I can’t bring myself to be the first to reach out. Not after... Everything that happened on Alternia. But I’d never turn away a friend.” You reached across the little table to hold her hand. Her claws dig into your skin with how hard she grips it back and you watch the way she relaxes. It’s almost enough to break your heart.
“Would you like to go on a walk with me?” She asks, voice uncharacteristically fragile. You smile as you stand up with your drink.
“I’d love to.”
I've got two more requests in my inbox to complete and then my inbox will be officially empty. I would like to state that my inbox is always open unless stated otherwise so if you don't mind the wait feel free to pop in with some requests or asks! I take anon requests and asks as well for the shy people out there
It was easy to forget the type of world you’d ended up crashing on. Despite the hardships you had endured you had managed to live a life- almost sheltered by Alternian standards. It was an odd thing to consider. You had broken your bones, spilt your blood, and fought like hell through the harsh Alternian nights- but you hadn’t truly faced someone hellbent on seeing you dead. Well, that wasn’t true, but the memories of that time were vague and fogged as if trying to recall your earliest memories.
Feet sore, lungs aching, you darted as you had seen Karako and much younger trolls dart to escape your pursuers. You kept your gaze on the horizon, on the roots and the snapping plants, heart in throat you put one foot in front of the other and cursed your luck. Either they’d run you down or you’d reach help before then. Every bit of your old survivalist instincts were screaming at you to do everything you could to stay ahead of your attackers. To outlast and outwit them to the best of your abilities. Even as your body begged you for rest. Clearing a fallen log you stumbled on the landing and kept going. A graceless run of prey being pursued by hunter. You were lucky, the violet bloods didn’t have guns or long range weapons. If they wanted you they’d have to catch up first.
Of course your good fortune couldn’t last forever, all it took was a loose rock in your path, with a breathless shock of icy terror your legs twisted out from under you as the rock was dislodged. The dirt, now loosened from how the rock had apparently been holding it in place, shifted and your terrified silence turned into a scream as the ground fully gave way. What you hadn’t had the time to register beyond the trees and brightly colored poisonous foliage was the sheer incline it all was rooted to. Behind you was the renewed energy of the violets, sensing the proverbial blood in the water as the landslide took you. Your hands shot out blindly, desperate to latch onto anything they could to slow your rapid descent. Stinging plants and harsh thorns tore at your fingers leaving a trail of blasphemous bright red in your wake. Agony shot through you as sharp rocks sliced into your exposed skin and you wheezed as you collided roughly with a tree. Clinging to the trunk of the thin sapling you prayed it wouldn’t dislodge as well. Breath ragged and painful you glanced around rapidly at your surroundings to try and get your bearings. It would hurt but you could still claw your way back up the incline- that is if the entire reason you were in this mess anyway wasn’t there laying in wait for you. As if on cue a finned head popped into view. Too far down the incline you couldn’t tell if you had been spotted or if he was still looking for you as you went perfectly still. The violet motioned to someone else above you and another head came into view. For a moment you thought you might be safe- and then a third head came into view. Your stomach clenched with renewed fear as the third violet blood pulled out their weapon. The harpoon spear glinted in the alternian moonlights and you could feel the prickly sting of your own tears building up.
You were going to die. Permanently this time.
With silent dread you watched as the troll above you raised his arm higher to aim. A glance below you, further down where you had almost fell, showed a similar fate. A harsh drop that would break more than just a few bones. If you let go of the tree you would tumble to a possible death, but if you stayed where you were you would be speared and fed to the horrorterror lurking underneath the waves. All choiced pointed towards your death- but only one of those choices would be on your own terms. Glancing back up at the faces peering down at you the choice was made. Taking a deep breath you let go of the tree just as the seadweller threw his harpoon. You slid faster and faster, tumbling over yourself as you went, something agonizingly sharp pierced your shoulder and you cried out. Head bouncing off a low branch you knew no more.
Marvus was growing increasingly worried. Every dm he had sent you had gone unanswered for the past four hours. He’d chittr stalked you, checked your instagore, picked through your pesterchums, and even your grubtube. But none of them had given him anything to go off of. He had even gone so far as to dm Polypa to ask if the two of you had gone to a movie or something, but according to the olive blood she had spent the entire day with Tegiri. It was as if you had dropped from the face of alternia altogether. He scowled at his phone and ran a clawed hand through his hair. Today was supposed to be his day off, the two of you were going to hang out and if everything went alright he was going to ask you to spend the day. Maybe even make a move or two. Instead he was pacing his hive, nearly losing his mind with worry. It wasn’t like you to be this dormant- especially considering most of your friends kept track of you through your accounts. You hated to worry your friends for any reason. There was more to it than that but Marvus wasn’t your moirail and so he kept firmly out of it. Now, he was wishing he’d been more nosey. Sending another unread dm he cursed and threw on his signature jacket. Snatching his cane up from where it rested next to his front door he barged out into the late night. Most of the trolls he passed were heading home after a long night of work or partying to sleep away the scathing heat of the coming day. They leapt from his path as if burned as he marched down the sidewalk towards the woods you had last been seen in. His expression might have been relaxed but the orange-ish tinge to his eyes spoke volumes of his annoyance. Not quite rage, no- Marvus was rarely angry with you, but the maelstrom of emotions nagging at his thinkpan were so obnoxiously loud he could have screamed. His white knuckled grip on his cane as he flexed his fingers trying not to lash out at the trolls staring at him kept them from trying their luck with the celebrity. If he could have cast out his chucklevoodoos to turn the entire neighborhood into a mindless search party he would have. But if you were truly fine the display might frighten you and that was the last thing Marvus wanted. The search would take longer by himself but he reasoned it was for the best. You had most likely fallen asleep somewhere or made another friend who was monopolizing your time with them. It was a reasonable assumption. True danger always seemed to skip right over you. You always knew the choices to make to survive.
He found you at the bottom of a ravine. Your body unnervingly still with a golden harpoon sticking straight through your shoulder and pinning you firmly to the ground. He was careful as he slid down towards you. Not wanting to trip and possibly land on you. His bloodpumper was pounding in his ears as he grew closer, terrified that you had finally met your end. There was so much red, so much unnervingly bright mutant red. It slicked your clothes and muddied the ground for the entire world to see. If he’d been the painting type, the religious type, he’d say it was a sacrilegious masterpiece. Instead all he could focus on was the tremor in his hands as he checked your pulse. Whoever had done this… He caught his reflection in the polished gold of the harpoon, the bright scarlet of his eyes and the sneer pulled tight across his face. He’d kill them. He would fucking kill them for this.
To your surprise you awoke. Sunlight struggling to burn through the blinds and purple curtains covering the windows of the room. A thick blanket had been tucked up around you making it difficult to do more than wiggle. Your shoulder and head a dull throbbing reminder of what had nearly come to be. The hulking shadow of a large troll caught your attention near your legs and you glanced down to find Marvus lifting the blanket to check the carefully done bandages on your legs. You must have made a sound at the sight of the violet blood still slicking his favorite jacket, nausea over what he must have done surging forward, causing him to look up at you. Those striking eyes were ringed in a deep scarlet, contrasting with the rich purple that was quickly marking his soon to be adult molt. He smiled, slow and predatory.
“Don’ worry none lil mama, I took care of it. You jus catch some ‘z’s yeah?” His hand reached out and smoothed back the hair that had fallen into your face. “They ain’t gon hurt you. I promise.”
As his hand continued to stroke your face you realized he wasn’t wearing any of his jewelry, the paint on his face had been smudged, and there was a predator’s satisfaction oozing from every bit of him. Something warm and soft nudged at your mind, reminded you of the sweet siren’s call of sleep. Your limbs growing heavy as your eyes drooped.
“Marvus?” You croaked in confusion, he smiled at your scrunched brow and slight pout.
“Lemme take care of you babe.”
“M’kay…” You yawned the fight and adrenaline leaving you as if siphoned away. He hated to use his chucklevoodoos on you but if it got you to rest then he didn’t see the harm. As you drifted back towards a dreamless slumber he pressed a kiss to your scalp and sighed. He’d have to call Polypa, it was her right as a moirail to know where you were and to help him finish the last motherfucker off. He glanced at the harpoon still crusted in your blood and its obnoxious violet insignia. Rage boiled under his skin, only abated by the fact you were there with him and recovering nicely.
It wasn't often that you got to stare at your classmate, he was usually nearly constantly moving around. But for the past ten minutes he'd been glaring down at his essay in concentration. His fingers carded through white hair as he tapped his pencil at a near rapid rate. Pale eyelashes nearly hiding the dark brown of his eyes as they flitted over the words he'd already written. Looking at him this closely you could see a faint indent on his nose as if he'd been wearing goggles. Eyes trailing over his face you watched as his eyes caught yours. Brows furrowing as a slight frown tugged at his lips- you couldn't look away. The light from the windows caught his eyes turning them a coffee brown instead of the nearly black color they were. Caught up in staring at them you were surprised to see the slight sliver of blue ringed around the brown. Gone in an instant as his eyes darted to the side and then back to yours.
"What are you staring at?" He hissed defensively, shoulders drawn up almost to his ears. You blinked at him as his words caught up to you. Months of watching him in your classes had taught you the best thing to do was to catch him off guard with honesty before he actually got angry and so you blurted the first thought that had crossed your mind.
"You have nice eyes."
He blinked clearly not expecting it. Perfect. His shoulders dropped from their defensive posture as he stared at you, face smoothed out in surprise. Again his eyes searched yours for answers that you didn't technically have. They dropped back down towards his paper as his pencil resumed its rapid tapping- just slightly harder than before. If you hadn't been watching him so closely you might have missed the slight flush that creeped across his face and towards his ears. Deciding to cut your watching short you looked back down to the book you were citing for your own essay. The compliment was small, something you'd tell any of your friends. You felt little shame or embarrassment in saying it. It was true, Peter had lovely eyes. Out of the corner of your eye you caught him biting his lip to hide a smile. You didn't bother to hide yours as you highlighted a quote. As the class crawled by slowly you watched the way his fingers kept coming up to rest just beneath his eyes and the way his lips would twitch with that almost smile. As if the compliment had been more than just simple observation on your part.
When class finally did end he was the first one out the door as usual. Always in a rush to get to the next thing. It hardly mattered to you, you only knew Peter as a hyperactive classmate. The two of you weren't friends and the most you'd ever talked to each other was during group projects. As you made your way out of the class to head to your last one of the day your mind was already wandering to the next assignment you'd be doing and the other classmates you'd be dealing with.
You almost missed the person who fell into step with you. But it was hard to miss his usual strange sense of style and that white hair. He seemed jittery as his attention darted from one thing to the next. But it was unmistakable that he was walking with you and not in the general direction you were going. He walked nearly in your own personal bubble seeming to step in and out of it as if unsure of what he was doing. It was cute. As you arrived to your next class your eyes caught a bit of string clinging to his jacket as he went to turn and walk back to his own class.
"Peter?" He froze mid step as you stepped closer to him. Plucking the string from the lapel of his leather jacket you took a moment to even them both out. "You had some string stuck to it." You explained simply. He continued to stare at you mutely- a rare thing from him. Usually he had a witty reply for everything. You watched in fascination as his adams apple bobbed as he swallowed. By now people usually called you a creep and tried to put distance between themselves and you. Instead Peter flushed in that interesting hardly noticeable way of his and cleared his throat.
"Cool." And as if he were never there in the first place he was gone. Frowning you glanced around the hallway, only seeing other students you hardly knew. Shrugging it off you went to sit down in your science class, hoping it'd pass quickly so you could go home. If it was another thing you'd learned in the months of sharing classes with Peter it was that you'd never understand him.
That was so good! I was the requester for part 2. I warn you I'm about to lightly flood you with a bunch of stuff to work on at your descretion. I will also make myself because why not and so you can pick and choose when to answer if needed. I am Diamond Anon. Can I maybe get Reader teasing Marvus for being so top heavy even if they are openly partial to the legendary titties?
Diamond Anon please open the flood gates I am begging lmao. Also thank you for another wonderful request! I’ll have it up in a few! Feel free to continue requesting and don’t be shy to specify. Have a great day/night!
The bass was pounding hard enough you couldn’t tell where the music ended and your pulse began. Sandwiched between Marvus and a wall you could hear the party in full swing not even a scant few feet from the hallway the two of you were hidden in. Let’s Link still blaring through the speakers as Marvus’ face dipped lower. You bit your fist to stifle the frankly embarrassing moan that wanted to slip out. It was an entirely inappropriate time to be grinding against each other like horny teenagers when he had to be out on stage in just a scant few minutes but damn if it didn’t just make the entire situation that much hotter. You tightened your legs around his waist causing him to hiss against your jugular, his claws dug furrows into the wall and you hoped no one would notice that until the both of you were long gone from the party.
“Damn it, if this wasn’t a fuckin gig I swear-,” He snarled his own moan cutting him off as you pulled him in closer by his horns. His lips were quick to find yours hot and heavy as you both panted and moaned. He licked along your bottom lip before pressing in and soon the music was drowned out as the two of you continued to make out. You should have been trying to calm down, trying to pretend that you both weren’t horny and far too close to the edge. Every roll of his hips against yours, every nip and kiss, the iron grip he had on your hip to drag you closer as his other hand clawed at the wall- you were so close it was nearing painful.
“Aaaaaaannnnnnddddd lets hear it for our next act: MARVUS XOLOTO!!!”
“Fuck!” You snapped as the announcer called for him. Marvus growled and bared his teeth, eyes scarlet with rage at being interrupted.
“When this party is over we’re finishing what we started.” He hissed in your ear before pulling away. You let out a small whine as all the friction was taken away from you. The crowd was cheering wildly as he set you down on the ground again- you had to grab the wall to stay standing, your legs shaky from nearly getting to get off. He was lucky to be wearing plain black pants even though they were skin tight, no doubt there would have been an obvious stain had he been wearing his normal ones. He leaned down for one more lingering kiss before finally heading towards the stage. You swore yet again slamming your fist into the wall as you slid down to sit. The party couldn’t be over soon enough.
i feel like this has been done before but fuck it happy 4/13!!
IT WASNT A JOKE??? THEY LIFTED THE BAN??? I HAVE SO MUCH TO POST NOW.

YES. GOOOODDDDD. XD The Dorito Clown roast was great! Next request! Some stupid troll red flirting with reader while Marv is like, right there. Maybe reader plays coy to piss Marvus off. Xoxo, ♦️Anon
You have no idea the joy this request just gave me. Finally an excuse to do some casual worldbuilding. Or would it be behavior building? Either way, any excuse to slip in some troll romance headcanons is fine by me! I’ll have it up soon and I hope you’ll enjoy it! Thank you again for the wonderful requests Diamond Anon!
I have two more requests in my inbox and a few drabbles and such already written for other requests I've received in the past. Gonna try and get them posted as soon as I can but again I have limited free time to do so. Thank you again for everyone being so patient with me! As always my inbox is open and I have no limit on how many asks people can send me. In fact the more full my inbox the more motivated I am to write! Like always I have multiple fandoms I write for as posted here: https://www.tumblr.com/morsartis/652309028149592064/fandom-masterlist?source=share
But don't worry if you don't see your fandom there! Not all the fandoms I write for are listed as I forget them fairly frequently. So if you don't see your fandom just ask and I'll answer as soon as I can!
Your friendly pansexual fantasy writer and theorist. Come and be welcome. I'm happy to take requests for different fandoms as well! !!REQUESTS ARE OPEN AND ENCOURAGED!!
