Hi, May i request a headcanon for ran , rindo and angry with toji fushiguro fem reader . thank you

With a fem! Fushiguro Toji reader // Ran + Rindou + Angry

image

genre: fluff (???) idk what this is but yeah

warnings: curse words, timeskip! ramen shop owner Souya, reader is named "Fushiguro Touya"

A.N: Im not sure what I did here but enjoy. Not confident about this because I have never written for the Haitani brothers, anygays, likes and reblogs are deeply appreciated, reposts are not allowed! have a nice day 😚

image

Haitani Ran:

He was so intrigued when he first saw you, a big, muscular, pretty woman. You were walking in the streets looking for something. You gave him a very seductive vibe, something about you just draw him and his curiosity.

Asking things like "can I help you? you seem lost", making casual talk to you, "how many times a week do you work out?", "can I do it with you, you know, just to become more husky", "what do you eat? we can eat together if you want to"

After all his insisting, you ate gourmet, expensive food, he tried to show you Roppongi as if he was the king. fancy restaurants, shops, jewelry, anything you named was given to you and you were not opposing the offers.

It was a nice day, but obviously, it needed to end, he did interrupted your mission but the day was so luxurious that you decided to forgive him, you gave him your number in case of any "emergency" and left Japan thinking about the "king of Roppongi" and how the hell was he so handsome.

¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡!

Haitani Rindou:

Kinda intimidated ngl.

He was taking a ride in his bike when he saw a very attractive woman hitting the air??? no, it wasn't the oxygen, it was a monster??? no idea what that was but totally nothing good.

He tried to help you but the moment you saw him he freezed, shocked in the scene of you ripping the creature apart.

"Nothing to worry about here, its just uhm... a wild animal, yeah", knowing he hadn't bought it, "are you sure that was an animal? it didn't look like one" he said, you gave him a cocky smirk and explained to him the basics given the fact that he could see curses.

Acted like if he understood, inside he was freaking out.

Super curious about your proffesion. not all days you see a "sorcerer", he didn't had to know that you killed sorcerers.

Invited you to his house to help wound you. You weren't expecting a full ass mansion.

You gave him your number for any special job he needed done and left without a warning, leaving the poor man more confused then he already was.

¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡! ¡!

Kawata Souya (Angry) :

He saw you entering his ramen shop, the vibes in his place became weird to say the least, he went to your table to take the order, the scar in your mouth was the thing he focused on, looking like he wanted to kiss you, so you acted more flirty, the young man was attractive.

Something sparkled between you two and you stayed until his shift was over. going for a walk, chatting, until you felt someone following you, you decided to ignore it but being more aware of your surroundings.

You were ambushed by other sorcerers. your head had a price so it made sense for them to attack you, to your surprise Souya knew how to fight and did stand a chance to whoever tried to hurt you.

The day ended with Souya's arm injured and a tired Fushiguro Touya explaining what she does for a living. you crashed at his house, meeting Nahoya, the smiling twin.

You cured Angry and tried to get some sleep since you would be leaving first thing in the morning. Souya tried to persuade you to stay one more day, but it was insecure for him so you left, a smirk in your face and your telephone number in his hand.

Cigarettes After Sex (2017) series m.list

jean x reader

wc: 1k

warnings: suggestive; basically a fwb situation but no smut, idiots to lovers ?

a/n: highly recommend listening to the song while reading! was lowkey in my feels when i started this lol i’ve been wanting to do something with jean and this song for so so long !! im happy with how it turned out and i put a lil piece of my heart into it <3 needed to show jean some love hehe but yeah lemme shut up now LOL. i hope you enjoy :))

K.

The first time you fell for his easy charm was at the bitter end of summer. The two of you were the only ones that made it up to watch the sunrise; the rest of the group passed out around you guys, their limbs thrown over one another and various degrees of snores softly filling the otherwise quiet room. Jean’s calloused hand met yours, dragging you out to the balcony to see the sun peek along the top of the city, waiting for the moon to disappear so it could make its debut for the day.

Even today, you couldn’t say who made the first move. The hazy buzz of alcohol from the night was wearing off and the delirium from staying up far too late was setting in, but the decision was made. Two hearts that often found themselves lost were able to find solace in one another, even if it was the shallow kind.

Time progressed and feelings grew. Being with Jean felt like something you’d see in the movies. A perfectly poignant picture with two people who were obviously in love, but not together. The kind of film where you are practically screaming for the two of them to just talk and finally address their feelings. But this was real life, and you couldn’t think of it that way. It had been decided that this was no-strings, no rules; just something the two of you did as an extension of your friendship. Besides, there was no guarantee that he felt the same way about you and you didn’t want to risk the already complicated relationship.

Breath, Love // Rindou X G.n! Reader

he came in the afternoon, closing the front door of you house, heading straight to your room. he was late and he knew it, everything he wanted was to be with you but business came accross and he could not ignore it.

sobbing could be heard feet away from your door, panic started to arise in his body and when he open the door he almost cried, the sight of you shattered his soul in pieces, your eyes were puffy, your lips and nose were red from crying, tears streaming down your face uncontrolably, you were holding your chest, sign that you were having problems breathing. he almost froze in that moment but you were more important, he inmediately went to you, holding you in his arms, he started counting from 1 to 5, trying to get you to follow him.

you felt somewhat ashamed of your state, this had happened to you a few times before but never in front of someone else, and you didn't want rindou to find you in that state, vulnerability is difficult to show, you were a mess, a 'controled mess' as you liked to say, it wasn't necessary for him to see you in this position you thought, everything was under control you thought, but you couldn't be more wrong.

incoherent words came out of you plus the fact you couldn't properly breath. you followed his direction, his voice was calming and soothing, his arms held you closely to his body, providing warmth to your fragile body.

once you calmed down, he gave you a hug, waiting for you to talk, he wasn't good with words so he waited, and waited, and he would always wait, only when you were ready you said to him how school was hard and your parents were crushing you, how the pressure was too much to bare, how everything accumulated, how many sleepless nights you had, how complicated things were turning out, how you really felt. tears and tears flooded and you were tired of holding them back. rindou tave you a space and time to let it all out, he gave you security to be you, with everything it camed with.

he was so assuring even if he didn't say anything, he just watched and contemplated with empathy, your body acted on its own hugging him so tightly you could swear he was uncomfortable, but nothing of the matter. he palmed your back very gently and said "breathe, love, this that you feel is valid, you are valid. take a break on everything and focus on yourself, and never forget to breath" giving you a kiss on the forehead. it seemed like he was crying too but who wdre you to judge, you didn't care about that, you couldn't even think straight anymore, a wave of emotions and thoughts cane out of you harshly, not giving you time to analyze your situation, tears replaced words.

it was one of your most intimate moments, just you two being vulnerable and opening up to each other, trust building up and love florishing from the bottom of your hearts.

rindou never saw you as weak, never doubted your needs and actions, he was very certain that this was what you needed, him.

maybe he came late to you, maybe he should have noticed before, but you where with him in that instant and that's what mattered the most.

Enchanted To Meet You

Viktor x f!reader | SFW | wc: 3.4k + extra story| On his deathbed, Viktor remembers all the moments he shared with you, hoping he can see you once again... even in another life.

A/N: Angsty, but hopefully the extra story will make it a bit happier.

Enchanted To Meet You

Zaun, Runaterra. Year 1.020

It was ironic, but he didn't mind at all, not after all those years.

Life and time were always something Viktor desperately chased after since he can remember, to the point of replacing all his flesh with steel, leaving almost every trace of his humanity behind to mechanical augmentations, becoming The Machine Herald. He was finally able to live without a limp, without his damaged lungs or any limitations the human body could come across. He became the closest definition to a god in the depths of Zaun and managed to help its population with his mind and creations, a Glorious Evolution, not only for him but for the Undercity.

But time runs out even for a god.

A miscalculation he didn't notice when creating his new body, specifically, when building the power unit meant to replace his beating heart, was the cause of an irreversible malfunction 30 years after being geared on his chest. He thought it could be fixed, like every other part in his body, but he was wrong. A single failure on a divine-built mechanical body was enough to crumble it all to pieces. He tried to repair his mistake, but soon found out he wasn't able to; not only because any efforts put on the task would be useless, but because if any screw was removed out of place it would cause his body to collapse immediately, concluding with a long-lasting pain until the power inside him stopped running: an inevitably hurtful death he didn't want.

Blitzcrank, his beloved invention, was there with him through it all. The golem expected his creator to be furious, knowing his life would come to an end at the age of 59 when his original intention was to, hopefully, become immortal. But, to his surprise, The Machine Herald accepted the slow painless death that time has planned for him with ease; no frustration, no fighting. He took his mask off, revealing the face of the man he used to be years ago, and asked the robot to stay by his side during his last days, taking care of him when his augmentations began to fail; he also ordered him to take good care of Zaun when he wasn't able to. Blitzcrank, intertwining its big mechanic pinky to Viktor's hand in an attempt of a pinky promise, swore to fulfill his wish no matter what.

That was the first time Blitzcrank saw his father cry.

The second time came a month later. Viktor had to be put in bed since he began to lose strength on both his arms and legs, being forced to ask the golem to help him dismantle the Hexclaw from his back so he could lay comfortably. Blitz, like the golden "son" he was, took good care of Viktor: making him sweet milk and reading him bedtime stories to sleep (even though the only books on the shelf were science and mechanic themed). That night, Blitzcrank went to the shelf to look for another book to read, but when trying to reach a leather-cover one, the book fell to the ground, and out of it escaped a piece of yellow old paper. Blitzcrank had always been curious in general, so it couldn't resist the impulse to investigate the paper's content.

Written in sleek calligraphy a short letter could be read.

My dear Viktor, words are not enough to describe how lucky I feel for having someone so brilliant and caring in my life. Not only your mind is bright and intriguing but your heart is pure and passionate. I'll be forever grateful to have met you in this life, you and all stand for; hopefully, this picture could immortalize our golden days for us to remember when our legacy starts speaking for ourselves. Happy 25th birthday!

Yours, now and always. Y/n.

It had heard that name before. Viktor always whispered it in his sleep... well, when he managed to sleep. Blitzcrank once asked him about it, but the nostalgic glance Viktor had on his face made him swallow any other possible question.

"Maybe one day I'll tell you about it."

Blitzcrank turned the letter around, finding a medium-sized photograph stitched to the paper. There was his father, way younger. His chestnut hair didn't have the gray hairs he had today and was wearing a fancy white and golden suit, supporting himself on a cane while staring mesmerized at the beautiful woman who was right beside him, circling her waist with his other arm. She had her eyes closed and a joyful smile on her face while her arms were wrapped around Viktor's neck, a golden dress that matched the man's suit molded her silhouette to perfection. Viktor seemed happy, genuinely blissful, a soft and warm expression on his face Blitzcrank had never seen before.

The golem got excited, holding the picture in its big robotic hands as it jumped slightly due to the curiosity that blossomed within, running to the room where Viktor was as the loud thuds from its steps filled the house.

"Father! Look." Blitzcrank exclaimed as it entered the bedroom, handing Viktor the letter and photograph.

It took Viktor all his remaining will to make the effort of lifting his arm and grabbing the picture, but the spark that ignited inside his golden eyes as he saw what it was made it worth it. When his body still responded to his commands, he would sit in his studio and stare at that picture for hours, his mind lost in thoughts of what would you say if you were still there with him.

Although his whole body was replaced with steel, there was a part that he couldn't replace: his brain, whose thoughts echoed your name like a prayer every night, knowing the only way he could see you again was in his dreams or in the memories that struck him daily, where your glowing eyes would appear or your voice gifting him a gentle giggle before calling his name. He didn't have a heart, but a ghost pain hunted him down his chest whenever your image popped in his mind.

A quiet tear rolled down his face, getting lost on the pillow his head rested on.

"Father, who is she?" Blitzcrank asked, hands hidden behind its back as its robotic voice showed how interested it was to get an answer.

A deep chuckle left Viktor's mouth, who gave his creation a tender stare. He didn't have much time left, so Blitzcrank deserved to know. Tonight, the bedtime story would be narrated by him.

"Her name was Y/n, Blitz." He began, affection and fondness flowing through his words as soon as he said your name. "She was a Councilor in Piltover, well, when the Council still existed. She was my biggest support, and who I've always thought of as my soulmate..."

The first time he saw you in person was at a banquet that was held in the middle of his last year in The Academy, a year before becoming Heimerdinger's formal assistant and creating Hextech alongside Jayce. Even when the room was filled with people, loneliness was all Viktor could sense, besides the insincerity coming from his classmate's mouths when being praised him for his intellect; they despised him for being a Zaunite, they made it clear since the beginning. Viktor didn't care about what people could think or gossip about him, but he wasn't a big fan of hypocrites either; so there he was, forcing laughter, faking smiles as the evening continued.

But it all vanished when he saw your face as you entered the banquet, excusing yourself for the delay and sitting next to the members of the Council. Even though you were a Councilor, you were young, maybe a year older than him. After greeting everyone present, your eyes caught his for the first time of many. He looked away quickly, a bit embarrassed; but through the corner of his eye he noticed you were smiling sincerely with your gaze still focused on him. He returned the stare and smiled as he saw how you subtly waved your hand to him before a subtle giggle left your lips.

Even now, he still remembered how graceful your giggle was.

The second time you met was in The Academy's lab, while Viktor was polishing the last details of his graduation project. He didn't notice you came in the room until you spoke, saying his project seemed promising with your back resting on the doorframe. The spanner he was holding fell to the floor due to his surprised reaction, but you quickly picked it up as you got closer to him and began to ask what his work was about. Viktor spoke a little nervous but found your comments comforting.

"This is incredible, Viktor." You said, and he gave you a confused look.

Did you know what his name was?

"Have we met?" He asked back.

You were about to reply but Professor Heimerdinger entered the room, commenting on how fast you arrived in the lab and how glad he was Viktor and yourself finally had an opportunity to talk. He then began explaining to Viktor the reason you were there: you had been interested in his inventions and projects since the last semester, which were almost all built to guarantee better living conditions for both Piltover and The Undercity, focusing more on the last one. You saw the potential he had within his mind and were hoping to become his sponsor, his first ever sponsor. He replied almost instantly, thanking you for the trust you had in him and accepting the offer.

Heimerdinger left, joyful your encounter turned out amazingly, leaving you two alone in the lab.

"I'm enchanted to meet you formally, Councilor Y/n."

His hand reached for a handshake, which you corresponded softly while staring directly into his eyes.

"The pleasure is mine, Viktor. And there is no need for formalities, call me Y/n."

Time flew by and not only did you become his investor but his closest friend. You used to accompany him daily in the lab after finishing your duties in the Council, helping him from time to time to design and build his future inventions since you had an immense amount of knowledge in the field, which is why you were so interested in him to begin with. The days in the lab were followed by nights where you two shared your deepest thoughts and dreams, nights both you and Viktor began to treasure more than you should have, taking into consideration your current status: friends.

He remembers one of those conversations you had under de moonlight that peeked through the lab's window, where you asked him what his religious believes were.

"I don't believe in the idea of a god, to be honest." He replied honestly, staring at the scenery throughout the window. He felt your curious eyes looking at him, so he elaborated his answer. "If there was actually a god out there, I think he must hate me... so it's better to believe there's nothing out there."

He shuddered when he felt your head resting on his shoulder, admiring the scenery while sitting next to him. The corners of your mouth created a discreet smile when you noticed his heart beat seemed to accelerate due to your action.

"That's a valid view. I think I'm stuck in the in-between: I can't say I believe in something but I can't deny it either; I suppose I'm opened to all the possibilities..." You fidgeted with your fingers before continuing, a gesture Viktor spotted and found intriguing. "What I do believe in is the idea of living multiple lives, I'm not sure if the right term is 'reincarnation', but it's somehow similar."

Viktor looked at you curious, his eyes asking you to keep talking. You leaned a bit closer to him, and he decided to lay softly his head on top of yours.

It was warm, intimate in a tender way.

"I like to think that we have another chance to make things right if we failed to do them in this life, maybe with some complications of course, but I think it's worth the try. Perhaps we can collide again in one of those lives."

You thought you got too carried away while explaining your believe, maybe Viktor didn't like the theory or found it boring, but all those concerns vanished when you felt his fingers traveling to reach your hand, slowly interlocking with yours. A bit of courage gathered inside of him after you corresponded to the touch, so he softly cupped your cheek with his other hand, making you face him.

"I have no idea if we would see each other again in another life, but I'm more than fortunate by getting to meet you in this one."

Shinning tears crystalized your eyes before you stole Viktor's plan as you leaned closer to him, leaving a velvety kiss on his lips that he corresponded with pleasure while his thumb cleaned up a lonely tear that rolled down your cheek. He still remembered the feeling of your lips on his: tender, warm, like it was meant to be, just like any touch or embrace you two shared.

That sparkling night you began your relationship, and Viktor couldn't have been happier. He recalls walking wonderstruck through the empty halls of The Academy, blushing all the way home, the feeling of your lips still burning on his.

A week later Jayce's incident happened, and when you and Mel found your boyfriend and his new scientific partner trying to sneak inside Heimerdinger's office, you gave Viktor a playful smile before agreeing to covering up for them.

"Thank you, my love." Was his reply, leaving both Jayce and Mel shocked since they didn't know you guys were together.

After their success with Hextech, a party was held a day before Viktor's 25th birthday, where the picture you gifted him was taken. He still can't get out of his head how you two coincidentally matched outfits to the event, both adorned in golden pieces of fabric. When he read the letter you gave him, he pulled you into his bed and tickled you and covered your nose and cheeks with faint kisses, a sweet revenge for paraphrasing the sentence he told you when he confessed to you.

Your relationship blossomed wonderfully as years went by. Not only were you a couple, but were friends still, making your bond even stronger and minimizing any chance of fighting that may have crossed your way. You helped him and Jayce from time to time, specially when they decided to built the Hexclaw. It all seemed wonderful, perfect even, until the Hexstone was stolen and Viktor collapsed due to his illness for the first time.

He can still picture your swollen eyes from crying and the tears running down your face when he woke up in the hospital bed. Jayce decided to leave you two alone after telling Viktor the medical results. You held his hand tight as his face turned to look at you.

"Do you still feel comfortable in this relationship after knowing I'll die?" He asked.

Your grip on his hand tightened as you told him you didn't care, that you will find a way to cure him while you tried to control the sobs from leaving your lips since you couldn't do that to your tears. Viktor's chest felt heavy, he had never seen you cry so hard, but he brushed his thumb on the back of your hand as he gave you nostalgic tightlipped smile.

"You're gonna suffer more when I pass if we stay together."

A heavy chuckle left your lips before pressing a kiss on his hand. He remembers the stare and smile you gave him that night: broken like never before, but a spark of hoped remained intact. "I don't mind suffering if I get to stay with you. I love you, hear me? You idiot." You whipped your tears away quickly. "Besides, we still have more lives to meet again, right?"

Viktor smiled back softly at you and nodded. "I love you too, darling."

You didn't leave his side that night.

Sadly, no effort was enough to cure Viktor, and when he tried to use the Hexcore on himself, a life was lost in the act. He felt miserable and considered ending things once and for all, and he probably would have if Jayce didn't find him and repeated the words he told him 4 years before.

"Am I interrupting?"

They decided to make a huge change in Piltover now that Jayce negotiated peace with Silco and The Undercity, and that night The Council was going to decide if they agree to that negotiated peace.

Viktor sat next to Jayce, but his eyes never left yours. He remembers the warm smile you gave him before raising your hand, voting in favor of Jayce's proposal. Once all of the Councilors' hands were raised, he felt a weight leaving his shoulders. Maybe things were really starting to turn brighter.

But all hoped for a brighter future faded when Jinx's rocket crashed in the Council tower, leaving no survivor but him and Viktor. He still remembers how disorientated he felt as he tried to get up after the impact, and the panic burning inside his chest as he saw the destroyed room he was in, crumbling to pieces and burning in flames. All of the Councilors he spotted where death so his desperation to find you grew bigger by the second. He didn't care about not having his crutch or inhaling the smoke from the fire, his priority was finding you.

But his heart dropped to the floor when he did.

Enormous crumbles from the wall fell on your chest, breaking your ribs and crushing your insides, unable to move. Viktor dropped to his knees next to you and held your face with his hands, begging you to stay with him a little longer. You seemed like you wanted to speak but you were unable to get words out of your mouth, you didn't have the strength to. And so, while a single tear rolled down your face, your eyes closed for the last time and your last breath escaped your lips. Viktor, broken beyond repair by then, brushed that tear away from your cheek with his thumb, just like he did when he kissed you for the first time.

Uncontrollable sobs he let out as he cried like he never did before. He didn't believe in a god, but begged every single one he knew to do something, to bring you back, but none seemed to listen. Buried his face in his hands as he screamed in despair and sadness for what he thought were hours, but he didn't care. There were 'I love you's that he couldn't tell you anymore, dreams to be crated. He had so much planned to tell you and do, but it was all lost in the flames. When Jayce got up, he had to drag Viktor away from your body to leave the building before death caught him both as well, but the tears running down his face didn't seemed to stop, not even when his sobbing did. He wondered what could have been if you were still there, if faith wasn't so cruel, if the plans you had could be fulfilled. He wondered why he got to live and not you, but that's an answer that came to him not long after: the Hexcore.

Blitzcrank couldn't cry since it was not programmed or built to do so, but a sad expression could be seen in its mechanical eyes as it put its hand on top of Viktor's.

"Don't feel sad, Blitz. She was incredible after all. Bright and smart like no other. Oh, she actually was the one that came up with your name, did you know that? I had the idea of creating you back in Piltover, and she corrected your blueprints and came up with your name. Names for the projects were important to her." He said to the golem, trying to light up its mood a little.

Which worked, since Blitzcrank didn't knew it, somehow, was also connected to you.

"Mother seemed like a wonderful person. Father, do you think she would have liked me?" A spark of excitement was present in its gestures.

Viktor left out his last chuckle before answering. "She would have loved you, Blitz... But I think I'll spend forever wondering if she knew how enchanted I was to meet her."

Maybe in another life...

"I'm sure she knew, Father. You can tell her later if you want." Blitzcrank tucked him into bed properly before placing the picture Viktor had in his hands on the nightstand next to him. "Good night, father. Rest."

And so he did, closing his eyes with an undetectable smile due to his last thoughts as the power in his chest finally stopped functioning.

EXTRA STORY.

London, England. 2022.

You walked through the University's halls looking for lab #3. Professor Heimerdinger, a small man with ginger hair and a mustache was supposed to guide you there, but since he ran a bit late, you decided to search for it yourself.

Gladly it wasn't so far away as you initially thought, so you were able to find it easily after a couple of minutes. But you noticed a bit of noise coming from opened door the room had. You didn't want to intrude, since it could be considered rude, but curiosity filled your body since you probably already knew who was making so much noise in the lab. You decided to peek, the door was wide opened either way.

A tall man you already knew (kinda) had his back facing the door, working on a golden human sized golem like robot while trying to screw in some pieces that didn't seem to cooperate the way he wanted them to, making him curse from time to time in a language you were a little familiar with. You already knew about his project thanks to Heimerdinger... and about the inventions he made the past semester. He had an unique intellect that caught your attention when the candidates for your sponsorship were sent to you: a man that left his country to pursue his dream of becoming a well-known scientist and inventor, who you could tell was casted away by some of his classmates purely because of envy or xenophobia.

You rested your back on the door frame while watching him struggle with the spanner and screws, it was funny somehow, but perhaps he needed a little help.

"Seems promising."

The spanner he had in his hands fell to the floor with a loud clank as he turned around to find where the voice came from, feeling embarrassed when his eyes met yours. He knew who you were since he saw you in the party that was arranged in the middle of the year: you were an inventor yourself and your name was well-known in campus since you were pretty powerful as a sponsor for scientific and mechatronic investigations within the University, even though you were just a year older than him. He didn't expect to see you there, just as he didn't expect you to smile at him back at the party.

You chuckled softly and stepped into the lab to grab the fallen spanner, giving it to Viktor right after. You noticed his golden eyes sparkling at yours, and that familiar feeling you had back in the party appeared again.

"It does?" He asked you as a response to the compliment, to which you nodded.

"Nice accent, by the way." You complimented him. "It's Czech, isn't it?"

He nodded back in reply, expecting a mean comment about where he came from, just like his classmates used to do. However, you only gave him a subtle smile as you approach the robot's blueprints he had on the desk.

Your eyes analyzed them with care, finding a miscalculation in the equations meant for the power unit he was trying to gear inside the robot's chest. Grabbing a pencil and eraser from the desk, you quickly corrected it as his eyes stared at you in confusion.

"Come here." You asked him, and he stepped closer to you as you pointed out his mistake in the blueprint. "Look, I think you have to rebuilt some pieces of the power if you want to screw it properly so it doesn't fail or fall latter on. You made a mistake here."

Viktor inspected the blueprints and your correction with care, and found out you were right about his miscalculation. Why didn't he notice them before?

"Yeah, you're right. If I rebuilt it and place it correctly then all that's left it's to-"

"Crank it?"

His eyes left the blueprints and focused on you. The same warm smile you gave him at the party placed on your face, making his cheeks blush a bit. "Yes, crank it."

You smiled once again and began walking towards the robot, examining every detail Viktor had put carefully on his work. Even if it was steel, it was all painted gold; big hands and a fizzing arcs of lightning that danced around their frame even tho it wasn't powered on yet. This particular detail seemed interesting to you, so you turned back at Viktor, whose eyes where still focused on you.

"Does it have a name?" You questioned, pointing at the robot with one of your fingers.

"Uhm, not yet. I haven't really thought about it." He replied, a little ashamed for not giving you a useful answer.

Your gaze turned to the robot once again as you hand grabbed your chin in a thinking pose, eyes focused on the arcs of lightning still. "What about Blitzcrank?"

Viktor looked at you confused but when he noticed where your eyes where looking at, he understood where you were coming from with that name... well, besides the brief conversation you had seconds before.

"Seems like the name suits well here, so I'll take it into consideration." He said as he placed himself next to you, gaze focused on your face as you still contemplated his invention.

Something inside you knew he wasn't just taking your name into consideration but you didn't mention it, knowing he liked the name.

"This is incredible, Viktor."

Wait, you knew his name?

"Have we meet?" He questioned.

You were about to reply, but a familiar voice interrupted you.

"Y/n, dear! Sorry for the late timing." Professor Heimerdinger ran into the lab, adjusting his glassed properly over his nose and catching his breath. When he did, he noticed you both were holding a conversation before he arrived, which made him relieved since Viktor wasn't a really social person. "Oh! You got to know each other."

You both laughed softly to his comment since he was correct, but Viktor wasn't expecting the Professor to come by the lab either.

"Excuse me, Professor. May I ask why you both came here to visit me?" His tone was soft, but he couldn't hide the obvious interest that glistened in his words.

"Oh sure, Viktor!" Heimerdinger began. "You see, I've been talking to Miss Y/n for quite some time, and she seems really fascinated by the inventions you've developed during these semesters. So she came here to ask you if you were interested in receiving a sponsorship from her to help with your current project and the ones you create once you graduate."

"Well, I was supposed to be the one to ask," you giggled and shook your head at Heimerdinger, who let a 'ups!' slip his lips, "but I assume you get the idea. So, what do you think, Viktor?"

He stood there, completely speechless to the information he just received, but he knew it would be dumb to decline such rare proposal.

"It would be an honor to be sponsored by you, Miss Y/n. Thank you for putting your trust in me." Sincerity flowed through his every word as he discreetly bowed to you, something you found quite cute, making you blush.

Heimerdinger looked at you both, joyful your encounter turned out amazingly, and decided his job there was done, saying his goodbyes soon after. Now you were alone in the lab again while a comfortable silence filled the room.

You turned to face Viktor to talk to him, but you stopped the words from coming out of your mouth when you saw his hand held in the air, reaching for a handshake.

"I'm enchanted to meet you formally, Miss Y/n."

Your hand grabbed his, corresponding the handshake softly while staring directly into his eyes.

"The pleasure is mine, Viktor. And there is no need for formalities, call me Y/n."

happy valentine's day!!

A Colour I’ll Never Know

For the most part, you enjoyed working at the library. It was quiet (which did wonders for the many headaches you got from staying up too late), the pay was pretty decent, and you were surrounded by books all day.

Some might’ve thought it to be too lonely, considering the fact that the only people you interacted with were frazzled college students who were too busy doing last minute studying to initiate small talk, and Mrs. Johnson, the head librarian, but you never minded. A set of underdeveloped social skills always tended to make you feel awkward when you interacted with people you didn’t know, and you found working in a place so quiet and undisturbed felt much more natural, as opposed to working as a barista in a coffee shop that never died down.

It made you uncomfortable just thinking about it. You had no idea how Lia did it every day.

So yes. The library was quiet, and peaceful, and boring, and just how you liked it.

Especially now, seeing as it was a Monday morning, and most of the people that usually came in were probably too busy nursing awful hangovers to even get out of bed.

You sighed contentedly as you placed Macbeth back on the shelf, Schubert’s Impromptu No. 3 playing softly from your headphones. Even though returning books to proper places on shelves was often boring and rather tedious, it felt relaxing after the hectic weekend you’d had, trying to catch up on the assignment your music professor had given you.

You always did hate theory-

“-hello? Anyone home up there?” Your right earphone had been abruptly pulled out and the music replaced by the sound you hated possibly more than anything.

Someone was trying to get your attention, and evidently they chose to do it in the most obnoxious way possible.

You inhaled deeply, bade farewell to Mansfield Park as you placed it on the shelf, and turned to see who dared to approach you, only to stop short.

Because there was no way Lee Heeseung was standing in front of you right now.

Lee Heeseung, who was never seen in anything but dark colours, had more piercings than you could count, an arm full of tattoos, and drove a motorcycle.

Lee Heeseung, who you had never seen anywhere near the library before.

Lee Heeseung, who apparently was standing in front of you, and who looked you up and down with a raised brow.

You cleared your throat, hoping the shock didn’t show on your face. “Yes? Can I help you with something?”

A slow smirk made itself at home on his face. “You’d already know the answer to that if you weren’t listening to music on the job, sweetheart.” He shook his head in mock disappointment, clicking his tongue.

You narrowed your eyes. “What I do on the job is none of your business. And it’s not like it’s against the rules anyway.”

Heeseung’s eyebrows raised. “Well well well, who knew little Miss Librarian had some fire in her.” He leaned in, getting much too close for comfort. “What music has you getting so defensive, hm?”

Without even asking, Heeseung picked up the earbud that was hanging down limply and lifted it close enough to hear what was playing. By now Schubert’s piece had ended, and Bruch’s second movement from Violin Concerto No. 1 was playing softly.

He scoffed and rolled his eyes upon hearing the music. “Classical, how boring and stereotypical.”

“Oh really?” You snatched your earbud back. “A bit bold of you to be judging a book by its cover, don’t you think Mr Badboy Wannabe?”

Watching Heeseung’s overly confident front start to crumble gave you some kind of twisted satisfaction.

You stood up straighter, gripping on the handle of the book trolley. “Now, do you actually need help with something? Or can I go back to my job and boring music?”

Heeseung seemed to be debating with himself on whether it was worth it to ask you for something, but before he could (most likely) come up with some kind of ridiculous excuse for no longer needing help, someone suddenly came up behind him, clapping a hand onto his shoulder.

“Hey man, you find the book yet?”

Jay Park. The only child of a very well off CEO, culinary arts major, and Lee Heeseung’s best friend.

Heeseung frowned. “No. I’ve looked everywhere for it, but I guess they don’t have it.”

“Damn, that’s too ba-“

“What book is it?” You interrupted. “Maybe I could help you find it.”

“There’s no need for tha-“

“Oh sweet!” Jay handed you a small piece of paper. “It’s this one.”

You unfolded it, raising a brown once you read the title.

“Let me guess, you don’t have it?” Heeseung’s cocksure attitude was back and more infuriating than before. “Or are you just not a fan, sweetheart?”

“Making assumptions again, are we?” You stepped closer to him, so close your noses were almost touching. The way he didn’t even flinch, but very obviously glanced down at your lips told you everything you needed to know about him.

But instead of closing the distance like you were sure he was expecting you to do, you leaned your head back a bit and reached up between your faces, grasping the spine of a book and pulling it out. “Enjoy, sweetheart.”

You shoved the book into his chest and turned around, not bothering to glance back as you put your other earbud in, and pushed the trolley down the aisle and into the next one.

To say Heeseung was stunned as he watched you walk away would have been the understatement of the century. But as he looked down at the book in his hands, Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus, he knew one thing for sure.

He had to get to know you.

A Colour I’ll Never Know

The next time Heeseung went to the library, he had the pleasure of seeing you again, only this time you weren’t working.

The table you were sitting at was next to the window, with golden sun rays shining through, giving the perfect natural lighting. As he got closer he could see that you had one of your headphones in, the other lying limp along your chest, and your phone lying on the table upward allowed him to see that you were once again listening to classical music. Specifically Dvorak’s Violin Concerto in A Minor.

“Do you listen to anything but that boring music?”

You didn’t even bother looking up from your book. “I know you didn’t just call Dvorak boring.”

“You’re right, I called his music boring.”

You glanced up at him, unimpressed. “Is there a reason you’re talking to me? Or do you just enjoy annoying people?”

Heeseung gasped dramatically, lifting a hand to place over his heart and groaning like he’d been shot. “You wound me, sweetheart.”

You closed the book with a sigh. It was clear you wouldn’t be getting any studying done with him here. “Are you ever going to stop calling me sweetheart?”

“Not like I have anything else to call you.” Heeseung pulled out the chair across from you and made himself at home on it.

“Of course. Not like I have a name or anything.”

He tipped his chair back and propped his feet up on the table. “Not one that you’ve given me.”

You reached across and shoved his feet down, biting back a laugh at the way he momentarily flailed before catching himself. “You should know better than to contaminate the library like that.”

“‘Contaminate’?” He looked at you incredulously. “What am I, some kind of virus?”

You shrugged and started stacking up your books. “Who knows. You might have some kind of badboy cooties that I don’t know about.”

“I thought we left cooties back in first grade.”

“Of course you did.”

“I’m Heeseung by the way.”

You stared at him blankly. “I know.”

Heeseung smirked, his lip ring glinting in the sunlight. “So you’ve heard of me?”

“Don’t flatter yourself,” You rolled your eyes. “Is there anyone on campus who hasn’t heard of you?”

“I see my reputation precedes me.” As much as you hated to admit it, the way he leaned back in the chair, arms crossed and legs spread, was kind of attractive.

He raised a brow at you.

Really attractive.

You stood up with a sigh and picked up your stack of books. “To say the least. Now if you’ll excuse me, I would actually like to get some studying done.”

Heeseung felt a small sense of disappointment as he watched you walk away again. “So no name?” He called out rather loudly, ignoring all the dirty looks and shushing.

You glanced back with a smile. “You’ll just have to earn it, sweetheart.”

A Colour I’ll Never Know

“I can’t believe you said that to him.”

You continued reshelving books but spared a glance at Lia. “Why?”

“Um, because it’s Lee Heeseung? Hello? The dude is scary as hell.”

“Really?” You walked out of the aisle and went to the desk with Lia following you not far behind. “I guess the tattoos and piercings can be considered kind of intimidating. Or more so the piercings since I haven’t seen any of his tattoos yet. I swear it could be a 100 degrees and he’d still wear that stupid leather jacket.”

Lia grabbed a random book that was sitting on the desk and started paging through it. “Sounds like someone is a little upset that she hasn’t gotten to see the Harms yet.”

You turned to her with a frown. “The what?”

“Harms. Heeseung arms."

“Heeseung arms. Harms.” You stared at her for a moment before shaking your head. “You spend too much time on Twitter, you know that?”

“Yes yes, I know. It’s a fatal flaw, a red flag, whatever. As I was saying though, I think it’s really-“

“And how’s the prettiest librarian to ever walk to earth doing today?”

You sighed deeply and looked up at Heeseung. “I don’t know. I haven’t seen Mrs. Johnson since yesterday.”

“So feisty for no reason, sweetheart.”

“Please,” you rolled your eyes. “You haven’t seen feisty yet.”

“Oh really? Maybe you’d like to show me sometime.”

Lia looked back and forth between the two of you. “You two look like you need some alone time, so I’m just gonna head out. See you later Y/- ” At your sharp look she cut herself off. “Right. Yeah. See you later.”

Once Lia had left, you turned to Heeseung. “May I help you?”

He grinned flirtatiously. “Just here to return a book.”

You sat down on the chair as he placed it on the counter. “About time. I was beginning to think you lost it.”

“I didn’t think you were the type to judge slow readers, sweetheart.”

“I’m not,” You scanned the book back into the system. “But I am one to judge people who wait until the day after the due date to return something.”

He shrugged nonchalantly. “What can I say? When I read something I really like to make sure I absorb it.”

You stood up with the book he returned, as well as a few others, and started towards the aisles that they belonged in. “Yeah, you would.”

Heeseung followed you, apparently not getting the hint that you were done talking to him. “So when can I take you out?”

“That depends.” You placed Jane Eyre back in her rightful spot. “Do you mean take me out as in you’re planning an assassination, or take me out on a date?”

“A date of course.”

You turned to him with the sweetest smile you could muster. “Never.”

He followed you to the next aisle as well. “You can’t mean that, sweetheart.”

“Can’t I?”

“But how could you go through life without knowing what it’s like to go on a date with the one and only Lee Heeseung?”

You snorted. “I think I’ll live.”

“Not even one, teeny, tiny date?”

You turned to look at him for a moment, considering. He really knew how to do the puppy-dog eyes well.

Finally, you sighed. “Fine. If you can find out my name all by yourself, I’ll go out with you.”

“Wait really-“

“But that means no asking your friends, my friends, or any of our professors. Deal?” You held out your hand, and Heeseung took it without hesitation.

“Deal.”

A Colour I’ll Never Know

Seeing Heeseung somewhere besides the library felt odd. It was almost like you’d forgotten that he existed outside of the building.

And yet as you saw him walking towards you while you were sitting in the courtyard waiting for Lia, you could feel an odd mix of dread and excitement in the pit of your stomach.

For once, Heeseung wasn’t wearing his trademark leather jacket, and despite the fact that it was the beginning of February and cold as fuck, he was wearing a short sleeved shirt. Which meant that you could see his ink covered firearms and biceps.

A voice in your head that sounded suspiciously like Lia was chanting Harms, Harms, Harms.

You were never going to forgive her for planting that seed in your thoughts.

“How’s my sweetheart doing today?”

You desperately hoped that he hadn’t caught you checking him out. “Well I was doing great until about two seconds ago when some crazy guy wearing short sleeves in winter started talking to me.”

Heeseung sat down on the bench beside you. “What can I say? Gotta find some way to woo you into going out with me.”

“Giving up on my name so soon?”

“I wouldn’t say giving up, more so….showing off what could be yours if you just tell me what it is yourself.”

You couldn’t stop yourself from laughing. “And you thought that getting frostbite would be the best way to do it?”

“I mean…” Heeseung scooted closer and lifted his arm, placing it on the top of the bench behind you. “I could’ve just stripped down in the library, but somehow I didn’t think you’d be as appreciative of that as Mrs. Johnson would.”

You rolled your eyes. “Congratulations, you finally made a smart decision.” The wind started to pick up, and you could see Heeseung start to shiver ever so slightly. “Though not really considering you’re practically freezing to death. Where’s your jacket?”

You weren’t sure if it was the cold weather, but you could’ve sworn that he was blushing. “I uh, I kind of left it at my apartment.”

“Of course you did,” you muttered, standing up. “Come on Frosty, let’s go some place warm before it gets so cold your heart freezes.”

“That’s impossible as long as you’re around sweetheart.”

You didn’t bother to reply as you pulled out your phone and texted Lia, asking to reschedule your study date, to which she enthusiastically agreed.

You were already several steps away when you realized that Heeseung wasn’t following you. Looking back you saw him still sitting on the bench, watching you go with an unreadable expression on his face.

You decided to ignore that for now. “Are you coming or was it your plan all along to get hypothermia?”

“That depends,” Heeseung stood up and jogged the few paces over. “If I do get hypothermia, will you nurse me back to health?”

“Aww,” You patted his cheek with your mitten-clad hand. “Not a chance.”

The cafe you took Heeseung to was one you visited often, seeing as it wasn't far from your apartment. As you stepped into the warm building filled with the bittersweet aroma of coffee and sweet cream, you almost felt like you were home.

“Huh,” He looked around, admiring all the duck themed decorations. “I didn’t take you as the kind of person who liked cutsey cafes.”

You side-eyed him. “There’s a lot you don’t know about me.”

He turned to look at you head on. “I hope I can have the opportunity to learn, then.”

Had his eyes always had those little specks of gold in them?

You cleared your throat and looked away. “Right, um. Do you want anything to eat or drink? My treat.”

The look of pure joy on Heeseung’s face as he picked out a pastry struck something deep within you.

Maybe he’s not so bad after all…

A Colour I’ll Never Know

“I must say I’m rather disappointed, Y/N.” Mr. Scott, your music teacher, shook his head. “Haven’t you practiced anything I taught you last week?”

“Yes, of course I have. It’s just-“

“No. No more excuses. Play it again.”

You’d never been the biggest fan of Mozart, and as you were forced to play Sonata in C for the third time that afternoon, you knew your hatred was starting to show through your playing.

This time you didn’t even get the whole way through it before Mr. Scott was stopping you.

“Look Y/N, I don’t know what your problem is, but you need to fix it. I know you can play better than this. I don’t want to feel like I’m listening to a robot playing, I need to hear your emotion. Learn the piece so you know it like the back of your hand, and then put some emotion into it. Think about what story you want to tell with it. Don’t come to me until you think you can do that, otherwise we’ll be wasting both of our time.”

You watched Mr. Scott walk out of the music room from your place at the piano. When he was out of sight you let out a deep breath.

As much as you wanted to pretend you didn’t care, getting scolded by people, especially your music teacher, always left you feeling sensitive and exposed. It wasn’t like you wanted to play with the piece with no emotion, you just couldn’t seem to find the pulse, which frustrated you to no end.

“Well that guy sounds like a real asshole.”

Heeseung was the last person you had expected to see here, but if the past few weeks had taught you anything when it comes to him, it was to expect the unexpected.

You narrowed your eyes at him. “How long were you standing out there?”

“Oh, long enough.” He said vaguely, walking further into the room to stand beside the piano. “Really though, it sounded great. He doesn’t know what he’s talking about.”

You huffed. “Yes he does, he was right about everything. It may have sounded perfect technically, but musically it was like a dying fish.”

“Huh,” Heeseung started looking through the music you had stacked on the side of the piano. “I honestly couldn’t tell the difference.”

“Trust me, if I was playing something I actually enjoyed, you’d be able to tell.”

“Oh really? Play me one of your favourite pieces then.”

You stared at him for a moment.

“Fine.”

Taking a deep breath, you placed your fingers on the cold, solid keys. The music that floated through the room felt intimately familiar. You used to play it so much each note felt like a part of you.

The silence after you played the final chord felt almost deafening.

“What’s it called?” Heeseung asked quietly.

“Romance in F minor, Opus 5. It’s one of my favorites from Tchaikovsky.”

He huffed and sat down on the bench beside you. “Didn’t sound very romantic.”

You frowned. “It didn’t?”

“Nah. Isn’t romance supposed to be all sappy and in love? Shouldn’t it have been something happy and bouncy sounding?”

You rolled your eyes. “That’s only one aspect of romance. There’s more than one layer to things like that. This piece does sound romantic, it’s just supposed to be showing the more depressing and dark side of romance. The doubts, the fears, the ‘what if’s’.”

Heeseung tilted his head. “I never thought about it that way. I guess not everything is set in black and white.”

“Exactly. That’s why you cant just listen to what’s being played, but how it’s being played.”

“I just hear music.”

“See? That’s the problem. You can’t just hear the music, you have to hear it.”

Heeseung blinked. “You just said the exact same thing.”

“Not like that,” you rolled your eyes. “You have to listen to what it’s saying. Like the first movement of Wienawski’s Violin Concerto Number 2. If you just listen to it it’ll sound like yet another boring classical piece. But if you listen to it and really hear it, you’ll hear the emotion, the words, the story it’s trying to tell.”

“And what do you hear when you listen to it?” Heeseung’s voice was soft.

You thought about it for a moment. “I hear anger. I hear a weakness that’s trying to make itself strong, and a disappointment wishing it could be content and being frustrated that it isn’t. But most of all I hear an underlying but deep-set pain.”

“Wow,” he breathed. “You really hear all that?”

You started messing with a string from your hoodie. “Yeah. It’s-It’s weird, I know.”

“No!” You’d never seen Heeseung’s eyes wider. “It’s not weird at all. I think it’s amazing how you can hear it and just….know.” He rubbed the back of his neck and let out a small, humorless laugh. “I wish I could do that. I guess I’m just too dumb.”

You placed your hand on top of his hesitantly. “Don’t say that. You’re never too dumb to understand something, it just takes time.”

“You think?” He turned his hand over and laced your fingers together.

“Yeah, yeah I do.”

“Thanks Y/N.”

Your mouth fell open in shock. “Wha- How did you-“

“I told you I was out there long enough.” Heeseung grinned. “So how does Friday at 6:00 sound?”

A Colour I’ll Never Know

“No. Absolutely not.”

“Come on, Y/N! I promise I’m a safe driver and I’ll even go extra slow for you!”

You crossed your arms and looked Heeseung dead in the eyes. “I don’t care if you’re going five miles an hour, there is no way on God’s green earth that I am getting on that death trap.”

Heeseung stepped closer and grasped your arms gently. “Y/N, I know I don’t have the greatest reputation, but I would never do something reckless when I’m responsible for someone else’s life. Especially yours.” His eyes were wide and imploring. “Please, sweetheart?”

You sighed, dropping your arms. “Those bambi eyes should really be illegal.”

You held your hand out for a helmet, and Heeseung’s grin almost made it worth it.

Almost because by the time you got to your destination and took off the helmet, your hair looked like a bird’s nest.

Heeseung clapped a hand over his mouth, presumably to stop himself from laughing.

You glared at him. “I hate you and your stupid bike.”

“It’s not that bad…” He cleared his throat and busied himself with getting some things out of the side pouch on his motorcycle. “Really. I think you look cute.”

You took the blanket out of his arms so he had a free hand to carry the other things. “And I think you’re a liar.”

“Think whatever you want sweetheart, still doesn’t change the fact that you look adorable even with messy hair.” Heeseung closed the bag and motioned for you to follow him.

“What are we even doing, anyway?” You asked, cheeks burning. “You didn’t bring me all the way up here just to turn me into a skin suit, did you?”

Heeseung looked over his shoulder with a teasing smirk. “Wouldn’t you like to know.”

“Yes?” You frowned. “Why do you think I asked.”

“Look,” Heeseung had stopped abruptly, just staring ahead. “isn’t it beautiful?”

You stepped around him and suddenly felt breathless. You had admittedly been rather suspicious of Heeseung when he took you out of the city and up a large hill, but now, as you were looking out and could see all the buildings and lights sparkling with the sun setting in the background, you were left speechless.

Eventually you were broken out of your trance by Heeseung’s voice. “Here, you can spread the blanket out here.”

You did as instructed and sat down next to him, letting out a laugh when you saw what he had in the grocery bag.

“Juice boxes and lunchables, huh?”

“Of course, only the finest of dining for my lady.” Your eyebrows raised at the endearment, but for once you decided not to comment on it. “Just wait til you see what I have for dessert.”

You picked up a Capri-Sun and pulled the straw off, sticking it into the premarked hole. “That better not have been a dick joke.”

Heeseung choked on the cracker he had just taken a bite out of. “Wow, okay.” His voice was scratchy. “You really don’t pull any punches, do you?”

You shrugged, picking up your own cracker. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”

After finishing your food and drinks as well as desert (turns out it wasn’t a dick joke, but he had also brought fruit snacks), the two of you laid back on the blanket and looked at the sky. The sun had fully set several minutes ago and the stars seemed to shine brighter than you’d ever seen before.

“Oh, before I forget,” Heeseung pulled out his phone and messed with it for a moment before the beginning notes of Myaskovsky’s Cello Sonata No. 2 started playing from it softly.

You looked at him curiously, and he avoided eye contact with you, though you could see his cheeks starting to turn pink. “What brought this on?”

“I, uh. I’ve been listening to classical music lately. I wanted to see what it was you were talking about, with the story telling and emotions and all that.”

“Really?” You couldn’t hide the shock in your voice.

He finally turned to look at you, “Yeah. This one is my favorite so far.”

“Why?”

“I…I like how delicate it sounds. Even though later on it turns into something grand and majestic, there’s still an underlying thread of fragility that sounds like it could break any second. It’s,” he swallowed, almost nervous. “It’s vulnerable.”

You smiled, turning on your side and snuggling close to him. “I couldn’t have said it better myself.” You looked up, finding Orion’s Belt. “It almost reminds me of the night sky. Even though it’s bigger than we could ever imagine, it still has this delicacy that makes it feel like we could almost reach up and put the stars right into our hands.”

Heeseung’s left hand started to run through your hair, while the other lifted your hand that was resting against his stomach to his lips for a soft kiss on the back of it. “I think I’ve already got a star in my hands.”

A Colour I’ll Never Know

It had been about two weeks since your first (and so far only) date with Heeseung, and to say you had become smitten with him would be an understatement. When he dropped you off at the front door of your apartment he had given you a sweet kiss on your cheek and a piece of paper with his number on it, and left with a quiet “Sweet dreams, Y/N.” whispered between you.

Unfortunately, even though you texted each other every day along with the occasional call, you hadn’t been able to see him much since then. With him being more busy than usual with classes (finding out he was studying psychology was quite the surprise) and you picking up extra shifts at the library, finding time to actually seemed to be impossible at the moment.

At least until the night before Valentine’s Day.

It had already been a long day, seeing as what felt like every student in the surrounding colleges and high schools decided to do their last minute studying today. You had been at the library since noon, and you were just starting the walk home now, at 10:30.

You had just crossed the street, still several blocks from home, when the uncomfortable feeling of being watched started to settle over you. You looked over your shoulder as discreetly as possible, and sure enough. There were three men, probably not much older than yourself, most likely drunk with the way they were walking, and definitely following you.

You started to walk a bit faster and pulled out your phone. Your hands were shaking as you went into your recent calls and tapped Lia’s name. Even if she would never let you live this down, you could put up with a lifetime of teasing if it meant you got home safe.

As soon as you heard her pick up the phone you started talking. “Hey baby! I just left the library, where do you wanna meet up?”

“Y/N?”

That was definitely not Lia’s voice.

“H-Heeseung?” You pulled your phone away from your ear and looked at the contact name. Sure enough the name, Heeseungie <3 was staring back at you “Oh, hey, uh, sorry about that.I meant to call Lia because there’s these guys following me and I think they’re drunk but that doesn’t really make it any better and I just thought that maybe if I pretended that I was calling my boyfriend they’d leave me alone but I…I don’t really think it’s working. I don’t know.” You tried to make your voice as quiet as possible.

“What? Where are you?”

You glanced behind you. They were still there. “A few blocks from the library. I think they’re getting closer.”

“Are there any stores around that are open?”

“Yeah, there’s a 24-hour convenience store a little bit up ahead.”

“Okay, good.” Heeseung sounded relieved. “Just wait in there, I’ll be there in a few minutes.”

“Wait what? Heeseung, no. It-It’s fine I can just wait in there until they leave or something. You don’t need to get up or anything I can-“

“Sweetheart.”

You swallowed. “Yes?”

“Wait in there. I’ll get there as soon as possible.” His tone left no room for argument. “What store is it?”

“Okay…” Even if you didn’t want to admit it, you were relieved. “It’s CU.”

“Alright. Just hold tight, I’ll see you soon.” You could hear rustling on the other side of the line. “Do you want to stay on the phone with me until I get there?”

You rolled your eyes as you pulled the door open. ”I’m not a baby, Heeseung.”

“I never said you were, but that doesn’t mean you aren’t allowed to be scared.” His breathing started to pick up, almost like he was running. “I’m almost there.”

“Okay,” You made your way to the aisle with chips and pretended like you were trying to pick one. “You can hang up if you want.”

“I never want to hang up on you sweetheart,” You could practically see his flirty grin. “Did they follow you into the store?”

You glanced at the entrance, feeling even more on edge when you spotted them loitering around it, probably also pretending to look at things. “Yeah.”

“Alright, I can see the store. See you in a second,”

You hung up without a word, putting your phone back into your bag and staring intently at the chips. Would Cheetos be an appropriate last meal?

“Hey baby.” Your head snapped to the end of the aisle, seeing Heeseung walking towards you. He was wearing a tight, short sleeved shirt once again, displaying his tattoos, but instead of the usual black jeans and boots, he was in a pair of dark grey sweatpants and black and white sneakers. Upon reaching you he wrapped his arms around your waist, hugging you from behind. “How’s my favorite girl?”

You leaned against him, placing your hands overtop of his and lacing your fingers together. “A lot better now that you’re here.”

“What’s this?” He gasped dramatically. “Y/N is actually happy to see me? I better mark this on the calendar.”

“Shut up,” you elbowed him gently. “I’m always happy to see you.”

Heeseung huffed. “Oh really? Tell that to the Y/N of last month.”

You looked up at him with a teasing smile. “You mean the Y/N that was being hit on relentlessly by the guy who had never spoken more than one word to her before? That Y/N?”

“…fair enough.”

You turned back to the chips. “Yeah I thought so.”

“You wanna get something and go back to my place? We could have a movie night or something.” His thumb started rubbing yours gently. “No funny business, I promise.”

“Yeah,” you breathed. “That sounds nice.”

You each picked out a few snacks and a drink, paying for them as quickly as possible and making your way to the entrance, where the three drinks were still waiting. Apparently they hadn’t gotten the hint.

Just as you were passing by them, the shortest of the three muttered something too quiet for you to hear, but it obviously wasn’t anything good seeing as Heeseung immediately let go of your hand and grabbed the front of his shirt, pulling him close to his face. “You wanna say that about my girlfriend again?”

You’d never seen him look this intimidating, even before you really got to know him. If you were being completely honest, it was kind of hot.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” He struggled against Heeseung’s hold while his friends watched with wide eyes.

Heeseung narrowed his eyes with a huff. “That’s what I thought.” He let him go and grabbed your hand again. “C’mon sweetheart, let’s go home.”

You were about a block away from the store when you finally decided to speak up. “So… girlfriend, huh?”

Even in the dim light from the street-lamps you could still see Heeseung start to blush. “Yeah, sorry about that.” He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly with his free hand. “I actually wanted to ask you when we had our date, but I thought it was too soon.”

You nodded. “Yeah. I can’t guarantee that I would’ve said yes, so it was probably for the best.”

“Right.” It was obvious he was at least somewhat disappointed. “Guess it’s a good thing I didn’t then.”

By now the two of you had reached Heeseung’s apartment building. He moved to unlock the front door, but you tightened your hold on his hand, pulling him back. “If you wanted to ask me now, though…”

“Now?” His eyebrows rose in surprise. “Wouldn’t you want it to be more, I don’t know, romantic?”

“Who said it’s not romantic? It’s the night before Valentine’s Day, you just saved me from a couple of drunk idiots, and you bought me snacks.” You shrugged. “Can’t get much more romantic than that.

“Alright,” Heeseung suddenly dropped to one knee, holding your free hand with both of his. “Y/N, sweetheart, would you allow me to have the honor and privilege of having you as my girlfriend, and letting me be your boyfriend?”

“Hmm,” you pretended to think about it. “I suppose I could.”

He stood back up with a grin, placing his hands on your cheeks and leaning in close. “Does that mean I get to kiss you now?”

“If I recall correctly, you’ve already kissed me.”

Heeseung rolled his eyes and leaned in even closer, your noses brushing together. It reminded you of the day you first talked to each other.

“Trust me sweetheart,” his lips brushed against yours. “When I kiss you for real, you’ll be able to tell.”

“Oh really? Prove it-“

Before you could even finish your sentence, his lips were on yours, and you could already feel yourself getting addicted to the way his soft lips moved against yours, contrasting with the cold metal of his lip piercing pressing against the corner of your mouth.

When you finally broke apart, you were both panting for air.

“If that’s what a real kiss is, you’ve been holding out on me.”

“Oh?” Heeseung pecked your lips once more. “Guess I’ll just have to make up for it then.”

You grinned. “I look forward to it.”
