Guess who stumble upon the Twilight fandom and now designing her fav character? This gal. 

This started from a sudden want to explore Twilight tag on Tumblr and remembering that Alice Cullen existed. I then proceeded to marathon fanfics that has accumulated for 10 years (mostly Bellice but whatever.) Then, I also found an article that said Catherine Hardwicke actually wants a Japanese actress to play Alice for the first movie but the idea was rejected. 

So, it actually got me thinking “Yeah, what IF Alice was from Japan?” “How will her backstory going to fit with this change?” “What IF the Cullen family are not all from America or England??” With that in mind, I started brainstorming all these ideas for each Cullen’s backstory plus their design. I think I’ll post them whenever they’re ready. Anyway, I hope you guys like the design for Alice! 

a challenge

seeing as i’m a bit busy with another theatre production recently, i’ve been neglecting drawing. i do have time though, so to motivate myself i prepared a sketchbook with the dates of March on each page, and i plan to just draw something in it every day.

i’m guessing some days i won’t have ideas for what to draw, so feel free to challenge me or send requests my way, or even reblog this. ask box always open :)

most drawings here are loosely autobiographical and contain a lot of personal symbolism. except the Mass Effect 3 sketches. they’re just that.

i’m posting this NOT bc im proud of it or think it’s good at all, but bc it’s my way of motivating/forcing myself to start drawing comics more seriously.

Fashion fashion fashion! Its been really fun thinking what kind of style Alice have. I think she would have more variation to her wardrobe than the others. When designing this, I actually head canon all the Cullen kids to be in university, with Alice prolly pursuing fashion or anything related to art. 

Why university you may ask. Well, its because I was thinking, isn’t it safer for them to attend uni and do night classes if they want to keep being vampire a secret? Nobody would think twice and if someone ask they can just say they have a job or something during the day. They won’t have any accidental glitter bomb moment either. Unless they do something really dramatique to attract attention which I’m guessing they would do anyways lol. But hey, I get why the OG have a high school setting (because of the target audience).
