The Year of the Snake officially begins February 10 this year, but it is already being celebrated in Japan as Hebidoshi. This year's design features a white Japanese Rat Snake to represent the Year of the Snake. Find him on shirts, sweaters, and newer products such as a teapot and cocktail plates in the store. Loved this movie so much when it came out! The effects were amazing. It wasn't just your standard "animation over live-action" movie, which had been done many times before. For the first time, these animated characters had actual depth; they seemed to inhabit the live-action scenes instead of floating over it. It was also the first time in a long time a widely released U.S. animated movie was targeted toward a more mature audience.
Scott C. has done another great job, picking one of the most tension filled moments of the movie and putting an innocuous looking spin on it.

A well educated and mild mannered ape finds himself without a job, home, or a friend. Through his many adventures, though, he finally finds one out of the three that means the most.
