a long one page comic of Buck having a nightmare. it starts gloomy and dark, Buck's name being called repeatedly. Maddie holds a young buck, hand on the back of his head, a scribbly bicycle behind them. Blue comes in, and Buck holds Christopher who is shouting his name, both wearing turnouts. Then fire comes in, and Bobby holds Buck in the same way, Bobby wearing the red shirt and Buck wearing Christopher's yellow. last nightmare image is Buck wearing his helmet and looking shocked as lightning flies through him, Eddie's hand reaching for the back of his head. the dream is partially obscuring a panel of Eddie shaking him awake. The next panel is Buck sitting up in bed with a cut off noise, Eddie saying hey! then a panel of their heads close together, Eddie saying "hey..." Finally they embrace. Buck says "Eddie" and Eddie says "yeah. I'm here."

My heart will lead me there soon

Eddie came out around six months ago, and Chris has been trying to encourage Eddie to embrace it more. One time, he grabbed a pack of rainbow napkins at the supermarket and unceremoniously dropped it into the shopping cart. He also chose ‘Out’ on movie night, which made both Buck and Eddie cry (Chris just watched them with a raised eyebrow before giving both of them a tight hug). In any case, it’s all been… good. He means it.

It’s just… there’s a capital ‘T’ Thorn that’s prickling Buck’s heart and is making it slowly bleed out.

Or: ceramics, fish, and names that start with a T. Add two pining idiots into the mix and the plot thickens.

Or or: Buck is pining for his best friend and copes with a new hobby. Who knew fish would bring them together?
