I feel like a Shellfur novella/graphic novel would be neat in order to explore his conservative upbringing and how his brother’s rebellious actions and falling in love with Fernstripe probably caused him to re-evaluate the views he had been brought up with. It also wouldn’t hurt to get to know his sisters better, they’ve barely done anything so far.
I hope this happens in a starless clan
Progress Pic of my Bristlefrost drowning art!
I don’t like Spottedleaf x Firestar. It’s a creepy and horribly developed ship- that didn’t need to exist for NO reason! We only see them interact like twice then suddenly they love each other and this ship is one of the reasons why the aging process is confusing. We see Spottedleaf as a young adult cat- she’s mean to be one of the youngest in the clan besides the kits and apprentices but Bluestar’s Prophecy shows her being older than most of the cats in the clan when Firestar joins. Then the way he acts in front of Sandstorm during Spottedleaf’s death.
I also don’t like Spottedleaf- like she’s literally just there just to be the pretty, flawless love interest for the main character just like Jessie was. I don’t even remember what kind of personality she had? She was just kind of basic and I further dislike her when I read Leafpool’s Wish. She encouraged Leafpool being with Crowfeather in the New Prophecy but in Leafpool’s Wish, she scolds her and calls her a foolish cat for being with Crowfeather.
I’m saying this because I honestly laughed when I read ‘Spottedleaf’s Answer’ because I found it funny how Firestar literally find Spottedleaf in his dream just to friendzone her. I don’t know why I find it so funny; like Firestar shows he never longer loves Spottedleaf then suddenly he is in love with her again during her death scene. I was just like ‘I feel nothing. Good bye, Spottedleaf. Sandstorm x Firestar is better’
I completely agree
Okay I feel like for the “Seven Greatest Demigods”, their entrances were anticlimactic.
Hazel Levesque? Brought back from the dead after saving the world single handedly. Yes. Good. Definitely Seven worthy. But if her first appearance had been in the underworld, that would have been like- whoa. We’re about to find the most powerful demigod of all time. We’re finding her in the fields of asphodel. She has suffered and rebelled against Gaea, the earth mother. One of the Seven greatest indeed. The underworld would be described much differently from the POV of someone dead. Or hell- we could have seen her die first, and then the time skip would have been very interesting to see from her POV. when we meet her she’s had six months of adjustment in the over world. If we got to read firsthand how it felt to know that she was destroying herself and her mother, and then sacrificing her chance at Elysium for her mother not to get the fields of punishment... that would have been heartbreaking. Plus we would get to see Nico come to her, which would be exciting- like “we’re going to meet all the demigods of the future!! Woohoo!” That would have been the coolest. Definitely would have sold me for the “big three kids are insanely powerful”
I wouldn’t change her backstory at all- other than getting rid of Sammy’s relation to Leo- just the time that she’s introduced is different.
For Leo, I’m also keeping the backstory, but probably not the wilderness school. No fake Jason memories, because I feel like that just made their relationships (Jason, Piper, Leo) start off very strangely.
We would meet him while he’s running from another foster home. I’d like to be introduced to the sneaky side of him pretty early, like watching him get out of the house undetected, using his gadgets to pick locks or even keep his foster parents locked inside. His backstory is so very important to him, but I never really felt that he confronted the part of his past when he was on the run/abused in foster homes. Fire isn’t mentioned yet- I love the way his fire was introduced in TLH, so I’d keep the fire a secret until then. One way or another he makes it to camp, and gets claimed right away. But we need to see who they are before they’re the demigods of the prophecy, because we never got to know who Leo was or how his life was before he was on a quest. This way it’s more personal.
(However I would be open to him going to the wilderness school before camp, which is where he and Piper meet and are best friends)
For Frank, I’m going to say CHANGE THE BACKSTORY.
it took so long to figure out what his powers were and his grandma was so frustratingly vague about it that I almost didn’t care by the time he actually found out because I had guessed it myself already. Also, how many of these moms are fucking dead? We can’t have the same shit over and over. Dead parents isn’t the only angst you can have. (Leo and Hazel’s mothers dying are probably the only one’s I’d keep dead) I think his mother would have taught him how to use the powers that they share- I’d love to see the Zhang family dynamic being a happier side of the story. His grandma being so strict and his mother being so fierce and wanting to be a hero while Frank is kind and sweet. I think that Frank’s mother’s longing to be a hero would be interesting for her to watch her son live out her dream. Based on what we know about her, she would be ridiculously proud, but jealousssss.
We would probably meet frank while he is transformed into some sort of animal. His mother is telling him to focus, and it takes him a while to change back. We learn that out of the Zhang family, Frank is the slowest learner for shapeshifting. While his mom is endlessly patient, his grandmother is not. He’s sent to camp so that he can learn to use his powers. Frank is insecure about this.
ALSO: He is not afraid of Nico. At no point does he look at Nico and say that thing is creepy. He is like poor kid I am your big brother now. (He’s got paternal instincts like his mama)
Frazel doesn’t happen. Sorry guys but first of all they were boring second of all it was a weird age gap and third of all weird love triangle.
So he’s just a big brother figure to the underworld kids.
Trans frank, frank stays fat and there is no weird magical “glow up”
Jason Grace
My boy. Same backstory. But it actually AFFECTS him. Like we see the result of him going through all of this trauma. This would come slowly, of course, because the whole point of his character is that he is Hera’s “Chosen One”. think of that one guy from Star Wars who used to be an army thingy?? (With the white armour) yeah so like the whole “emotionless soldier” making friends and learning to care for them and for himself means a lot to me so he would be like that. Also he would NOT know what to do with Leo, who is the embodiment of: 😈, while he is the embodiment of:😶. So I would include much more dad friend Jason keeping Piper and Leo on a leash, while also trying to follow their lead on being a Normal Teenager 👍. (They are setting the worst example, frank saves him later)
I don’t know about having the deleted memories, because while I love that idea I also think we’d get to know him a lot better without it. Percy is okay to have lost his memories because we know him. But we don’t know Jason. But I also just love empty head Jason.
The “catch me!” Scene wouldn’t happen, it would take more time to find out he’s the son of Jupiter. Lol idk when, but there should have been more foreshadowing like:
“He should have gone inside, really, but he felt so drawn to the storm. Standing outside, his clothes were drenched in rain, and he felt the thunder in his bones before he heard it. This is how it would feel, he thought, to remember.”
I also think we deserved one scene of him crying in the rain, wondering who is and why he knows how to fight better than how to be a person.
MORE JASON ANGST !!
We don’t do Jasiper
Also Valgrace (slow burn) Piper is queer (we don’t know her sexuality yet so)
Piper. Oh Piper. My girl
I am so sorry for what RR did to you.
She is not a kleptomaniac. She is much better representation for Indigenous people. She has brown eyes. She does not wear feathers. She does not immediately fall in love and chase after a boy for the entire book series. She isn’t written in a misogynistic way, and is allowed to express herself however she wants. (This goes for ALL the rep in HOO actually)
The inner turmoil she faces when deciding whether or not to betray her friends is still there, but we meet her in the wilderness school with an unexpected best friend Leo Valdez. (They’ve just met recently) she instead uses her charmspeak when she really wants something, but it’s all by accident. Like “Can we reschedule the test?” Or “Can I please not run a mile?”. She has her “I am supreme lord of the bathroom” moment, where her charmspeak helps her out of a tight spot (either with Dylan or her racist classmates) she probably embarrasses them or reveals Dylan is a ventus. Piper and Leo dynamic duo while hiding from coach hedge yeah yeah.
Jason shows up and they are like. Who are you wtf. That’s funnier than them knowing who he is anyway.
(Piper learns of her singing charm speak earlier on, and perhaps she sings a Cherokee song, because even without charm speak native music is extremely powerful.)
Annabeth trains Piper for fighting (with a knife) which is how we meet her. Hazel teaches Piper how to sword fight later on.
So I feel that Frank and Piper and Leo grow into their powers a lot, but we see their potential while meeting them.
As we go on, they’re powers are expanded on.
But Jason and Hazel are a bit more powerful from the get go, so we’re just like alright these are the power houses, but then we see the rest of them grow and we’re like okay they are ALL powerhouses this is great.
How can anonymous be so dumb?!
Let me just make a list of stuff Squirrelflight did to him that would definitely piss him of.
- she pushes him into stuff. She asked him for more kits over and over and he reacted to her telling her to stop.
- she lied to him. Of course he can be angry at her and using some words. He loved them and she lied.
- she went against everything he ask. She pushed him around until she got tiered of it and ran of clearance upsetting him.
- She asked about kits once. She dropped it when she realised he didn’t want that and tried her best to hide her hurt. Kits only got brought back up in Squirrelflight’s Hope when Bramblestar brought it back up (largely at times he was using this topic to manipulate her)
- Her lying about the three was completely wrong I agree. But she had good intentions in order to protect those kids and her sister. But Bramblestar should have known. It was completely wrong of her not to tell him. But also at the same time he has lied to her by omission. He has never told her about training in the dark forest with Hawkfrost - something he did repeatedly and ultimately almost got Squirrelflight’s father killed.
- She doesn’t go against everything she asked. Apart from going to investigate the territory I don’t recall one time she has directly disobeyed him as deputy. Going to investigate the sisters behind his back was wrong and she shouldn’t have done it even if her intentions was good.
But the bottom line is this. No matter what Squirrelflight may have down to anger Bramblestar, she did not deserve to be domestically abused. There is absolutely no excuse for what Bramblestar did to her.
Bramblestar is an abuser. There is never any excuse for that.
Shoutout to Sticks the Badger from Sonic Boom being canon to the main Sonic universe but this version of her character only appearing in Mario & Sonic at the Rio Olympic Games (2016), a single Japanese-exclusive webcomic, and getting a cameo mention in Sonic Frontiers. Apparently she was slated to appear in Sonic IDW but it just didn't work out. So now while she canonically exists, there's basically no canon record of her doing anything or appearing anywhere. Lmao

look, i even see it happening in the PERCY JACKSON FANDOM, but i may as well try
also, i’d prefer if you REBLOGGED this.
I once asked the following question on BlogClan:
Leafpool is getting plumper, avoiding others, and possibly having changes in her eating habits and/or smelling odd. She and Squirrelflight go on a journey outside the territories for a couple of weeks to look for a herb that StarClan supposedly sent her a vision about. They come back a couple of weeks later with three kits who do not look a thing like Brambleclaw or Squirrelflight.
But! Lionblaze and Jayfeather are both tabbies like Leafpool. Lionblaze has amber eyes like Leafpool. Hollyleaf had black fur, just a little darker than Crowfeather-Leafpool says straight out that she’s the image of Crowfeather, and even wanted to name her after him until Squirrelflight talked her out of it-and incidentally if they’re doing this whole charade to hide whose kits they really are, was she seriously planning on naming her Crowkit? But anyway-and Jayfeather has gray fur, a little lighter than Crowfeather’s, and blue eyes, like Crowfeather’s.
Nobody had known that Squirrelflight was expecting kits. Not even Brambleclaw or Sandstorm. Squirrelflight certainly hadn’t looked like she was expecting kits. And yet she went on a journey while expecting! This was explained away as the kits being born very early. But even Brambleclaw didn’t know?
Squirrelflight had no milk, necessitating the kits being nursed by Ferncloud-what did she tell the Clan they had done for the past couple of weeks while they were in the woods? And she recovered from the birth extremely quickly. And they didn’t come back with that herb either!
ThunderClan isn’t that obtuse. How in the name of StarClan did nobody realize anything?
The answer I got was “plot convenience.”
