hi i don’t usually do this but i’d like to use the platform i have. if you haven’t heard, brandon bernard is dead— not from an accident, age, disease, but he was executed. it’s hard to believe, especially thinking about how so many people (including big name celebrities) spoke against his execution. his delay request was rejected and he was pronounced dead at 9:27 PM from lethal injection. can you think about this? he’s gone, no longer here for a crime he didn’t commit about a decade ago. he was extremely apologetic and calm during his final moments: “I’m sorry, that’s the only words that I can say that completely capture how I feel now and how I felt that day.” he was sentenced based on “the belief he would commit crimes in the future.” his case is very racially charged and he’s spent 20 years demonstrating change. we couldn’t save him. however, during our condolences, please take the time to help other people on the death row.

no one deserves death and even if in some impossible case that they did, the death penalty in the US is extremely flawed. thank you for your time

In the last year, i have gotten about five new violent allergies from foods i used to be able to eat. Next time i eat a fruit, my throat could close. I may not be able to inject myself. My boyfriend and i played with my trainer pen for like 30 minutes. He knows how to inject it. I know how. This is important.
