alright free story idea that I personally find really funny.

Derek 'Chronic English Major' Hale having a secret love of period drama romance novels or some shit, and one day picks up a new and popular series where the story is essentially 'Pride and Prejudice but oops all werewolves'. He gets real invested and is really impressed by both the incredibly well researched historical accuracy, AS WELL as the ACCURATELY portrayed werewolf lore/representation.

I also like to imagine Derek and Lydia bond over their shared interest of books/films because 1. it's funny and 2. they're honestly both so dramatic and extra that after all the shit they and their friends went through, Derek and Lyds deserve to be buds. Anyway, said book series comes up in conversation, and Derek says he just started it and it's really good. Lydia inexplicitly starts cackling, but doesn't elaborate, just making vague comments almost like an inside joke.

Derek finishes the book series, and starts to put the pieces together. Some parts of these books seem almost... too familiar. But who would be the type of person to have encyclopedic knowledge on hyper specific parts of history, a flair for dramatics, AND a vast amount of experience with not only the supernatural, but especially werewolves?

...Yeah turns out Derek Hale's favourite book series was written by Stiles using a pen name, and no he does not want to talk about it.

No bc this is Noah and Claudia’s song actually. All I see is these two whenever I hear it, like Stiles probably popped this bad boy on one day around his dad and he flashes back to him and Claudia slow dancing terribly in the living room to old country songs that sound like this.

They pop on their favourite Johnny Cash album and twirl around the living room, Claudia unable to stop giggling in between singing in an exaggerated southern accent. Her and little Stiles always belting out the lyrics of the music Noah grew up listening to but never truly hearing the words until his wife and son sang them.

Those songs they danced to were some of the only things Claudia consistently remembered when her memory faded. And now he sits back and smiles, listening to ‘Wondering Why’ after being unable to listen to certain songs/artists anymore bc the pain is too much - and he remembers those warm feelings, and dusts off those old records.

I’m actually so unwell about it.

You're telling me that Derek was going to die after losing his werewolf abilities and then Stiles looked back at him like he was losing the love of his life, and then Derek not only lived but immediately evolved into a stronger wolf? HELLO?

Imagine you work at some fucking roadside diner in buttfuck nowhere and you have to wait a table with three dudes who aren't from around here and the guy with the long hair immediately pulls out his laptop with what looks like cult shit in the web browser and asks for your worst salad option, and the guy in the trenchcoat sniffs the pepper shaker and declares the molecules to be very sharp and the guy with the greenest eyes you've ever seen calls you sweetheart and then proceeds to engage with intimate eye contact with trenchcoat to a degree that is downright indecent and then orders the heart attack special on your menu and every time you walk past their table they're talking about that gruesome murder that happened in town and the pretty guy is feeding the trenchcoat guy fries while the hair guy talks about desecrating corpses

I was inspired to rewatch It’s Alive with Brad bc of @melioristicbeast and their wonderful redraws bc it’s been a while and omg every camping episode is EXACTLY how I envision how Stiles and Derek camping together would go lol
