I love the comparison of Wei Wuxian giving Jiang Cheng his Golden Core and Xiao Xingchen giving Song Lan his eyes because it just proves that Wei Wuxian wasn't too far off the mark on how Baoshan Sanren would have solved his problem.

Like, she told Xiao Xingchen that she couldn't give Song Lan new eyes because she can't create something from nothing (or at least something similar iirc), so theoretically, she could have also done the Golden Core transfer as a solution.

I don't know how well her medical knowledge is compared to Wen Qing but it just goes to show that even a powerful immortal can't just create miracles. She is also limited to realistic solutions.

The way the surgeries mirror each other, even with the way the "recipient" (Song Lan and Jiang Cheng) react, is just very interesting to me. Both didn't ask for the surgery and Both get upset when they learn of it.

Despite never meeting Baoshan Sanren, Wei Wuxian somehow managed to imitate her solutions shockingly well and despite never meeting Xiao Xingchen managed to inspire him.
