The concern on her face? The woodblock stamp vibes?? The negative space? You are so talented!

Valerian (left) and Akoya! (right)
A princess and her knight in pearly armor. Akoya is a Sea-ice hybrid soldier, and recently turned into a siren, so much shorter than most. (Sirens are a fan made seawing subspecies/curse/gift/??? Thingy. Makes them very large and with fancy fins and 4 horns)
While Val is one of many kids of the Siren king Kraken, and just a bit of a fantastical romantic! ;]
o7, im convinced. Fics, hand em over

These two are at war with each other so naturally they hate each other but both are drawn to each other since they both know the stresses of being a queen. This is what drew them together plus the begrudging respect on how both of them are able to one up each other in war. When one side gains the upper hand the other comes up with a strategy to turn the tides back in their favor. This builds respect but also anger and resentment since they are losing dragons.
Since they are at war with each other how will they grapple with the fact they have feelings for their enemy? They would have to keep their feelings a secret between them or else a massive Royal scandal will occur. They will kill any dragon including advisors if they even think they are starting to grow suspicious. So they send letters mad at the loss of advisors or dragons fallen in war and how their army will reach their kingdom and tear it down but beneath the anger is a sense of longing and how they will be the one to deal the final blow to other and how the winner will hold the loser and look them in the eyes as the life fades form their eyes.
How will they end up? Will one finally manage to kill the other leaving nothing behind a feeling of triumph overshadowed by loss and longing? Will they both kill each other in battle with both of them finally being able to embrace each other as their lives come to an end? Will it be an enemies to lovers story to do what Arctic and Foeslayer couldn't? Or will it end like it did in canon the Nighwings leaving and both Queens feeling and immense longing and rage at the fact they weren't able to finish the job? Idk and honestly that is up to you to explore.
The sheer amount of potential this ship has is massive in the ways how the characters will react to their feelings, how they express them or if they try to hide it how their facade falters, and how their story will end. The possibilities and scenarios these ships have is immense and it's why you should ship Diamond x Vigilance.

Here are a few Icewing variations I can up with, I'll probably at some point go into the nitty-gritty of their individual cultures more at some point.
β’ Plains - The plains Icewing are the typical Icewings we see and have the largest population in the cities across the frozen north. They are the third biggest of the five Icewing variations and are mostly covered in thick fur. Their fur can range from several hues of light purple, blue, white, grey, and mint green. They have large speckled wings that can have a variety of different patterns that are to aid in their tracing of lineage. They are adorned with long elegant antlers and the typical sharp spine crown that further runs down their spine.
β’ Tundra - The Tundra Icewings live near the desert just inside the Great Ice Cliff and make up most of the population on the border towns. They are second smallest of the Icewings, the have very thin and stringy fur that comes in a range of muted sandy browns, greyish blues, muted purples, and muddy light greens. They have smaller wings that also have speckled patterns splattered across the underside. They have larger ears that have little fur covering them, behind them are a set of smaller antlers and small quill-like spines that they can use like projectiles.
β’ Costal - The coastal Icewings live by the ocean in the several coastal towns and purpose settlements, they are the biggest of the Icewings. Instead of fur the coastal Icewings have tight waterproof feathers that comes in a range of darker sea greys, blues, greens, and occasionally white. They rarely fly and instead have large patterned fins instead of wings, along with webbed talons. They have very short streamlined antlers that resemble horns and small spines running down their backs.
β’ Peak - The peak Icewings live on the mountain tops and are the oldest of the variations with several small towns, being the second biggest of the Icewings. They have thick hides and heavy fur that can come in a range of speckled patterns and colours can be mid-tone purples, blues, greens, greys, and sometimes black. They have huge feathered wings that resemble snowy owl patterns with large grappling claws to hook onto the cliffs, they have shorter curved antlers and long spines that are more jaggered.
β’ Chasm - The chasm Icewings live deep underground, they the smallest of the Icewings, and the second oldest tribe. They have little to no fur instead they have semi-transparent fish-like scales that come in very pale greens, blues, greys, and sometimes purple. They have small wings that resemble gliding mammalβs wings that act more like grapplers for the sheer ice walls. They have very long thin horns and piercing spines that act like quills.
