Gather 'round my children, for I have hadeth another brain fart... And this is what I woke up with!! Yes, I changed their names because ancient greek, man! Max is okay. Steve, eh gets difficult. Lucas- okay... But Dustin?? Or Nancy?? Anyway!- Steve is a hero, Billy is Eros and they find each others presents strangely comforting.

Of course the others will all also be there, definitely. And they each have their own backgrounds and stories and reasons to do... Uh... Stuff!

I got the idea randomly whilst listening to I won't say I'm in love from Disney's Hercules sooo...

Randomly remembered that the german translation of Edge of Spider-Geddon (2018) made Parksborn unmistakenly canon (on Earth-44145 atleast, the dimension where Norman Osborn became Spider-Man) and I'm still absolutely baffled as to how they got away with that.

It's actually a VERY small detail, you see, the translation is absolutely accurate EXCEPT. For the last THREE WORDS. They took the platonic "Love you, man" and turned it into a LITERAL "I <3 you". LISTEN, THAT'S NO WHERE NEAR BROMANCE, THAT IS STRAIGHT ROMANCE WITHOUT THE B. ESPECIALLY combined with the sentence before. "If there is an afterlife, I will do my best to tell you somehow... I love you." That is so raw, that is so emotional, istg if you don't know german, you probably don't understand how insane this is. "Ich liebe dich" isn't used for your bros, that's reserved for romantic partners and maybe MAYBE rlly close family but that's a BIG maybe bc most rather use "Ich hab dich lieb" as a variant of ily for family members. And then the little red heart. Like wtf man. I mean I'm still not over this 5 years later, it's that amazing.

Billy - Eros/Bilato

First child of Aphrodite and Ares, god of lust, desire and unrequited love. One of the few winged gods. And as Ares' first son, of course he's somewhat furious, that Eros became like his mother with no regard or initial interest in warfare. And even if the boy knows how to handle bow and arrow, frankly his younger sibling is a bit better than him. And she isn't even as cold or confrontational as he is! One might think to know who the favourite is... But then again, desire is written inside every humans heart, isn't it?

So imagine his frustration, turned confusion, turned fascination with this seemingly human hero who's somewhat cold to his touch! How!? But interesting...

Max - Anteros/Maxena

Second child of Aphrodite and Ares. God of requited, pure love in any form; romantic, friendly, familiar or unconditional. She doesn't have as much pressure on her from Ares. Not only is she, well... A she, not a he, but also younger.

That doesn't mean, that she doesn't know how to at least use a bow and arrow! And of course she will use them to protect her new found friends! I mean, they are... an odd bunch for sure. But hey, love falls, where it does and she does love them dearly!

Kind of crazy that Steve is one of the most beloved and iconic characters on the show, for better or for worse, but we actually know the least about him out of anyone in the main line up. We know more about characters only introduced in season 4 than we do him

We don't even know his parents' names?? We know the names of Robin's parents, even Eddie's and Barb's... We barely know a thing about Steve outside of that he's from a rich upbringing, good at sports, babysits the kids, is fucking feral and should probably relax a bit with Nancy.

I think this explains why there's so many fics out there about him secretly being a Number. Of the main line up if anyone were to turn out to be a surprise Number he's the most plausible because genuinely what the fuck do we even know about him that would dispute that theory?

(I'll also always point out what a striking resemblance Steve has to one of the original MKUltra test subjects, Ken. Who I'm not saying could be his dad but they could at the very least be related. Ken talked about his whole family being gifted, and how he'd be drawn to places; ending up in the right place at the right time as related to his abilities, and Steve sure does have a way of walking in on things right as he's needed, however farfetched the circumstances may be.)
