I knew there was a reason we all liked him so much đ

Authorâs Note: Itâs about time I did another Thunderbirds fic! I hate the ending at all and am not entirely happy with what I finished with, but weâll see how it goes⌠Enjoy this in all its unedited glory! I know nothing about Wing Chun and Kung Fu, so if I get something wrong, I am so sorry and will try to fix it! The character of Jack Wallace is completely fictional. I don't own any characters except for Jack Wallace, an OC.
xXxXxXx
Jack Wallace was a fit guy. His black-and-red Wing Chun martial arts belt and his habit of going to the gym every morning proved said fact. He had gone to this particular gym in London every day for almost two and a half years â yet he had never seen this young woman before, although she seemed somehow familiar. Tall, lithe, with olive skin, black hair, and enchantingly green eyes, she was there before even he was, running on the treadmill. She stayed there for 3 hours, running at 10 kilometres an hour, no joke! She didnât stop, didnât slow down, didnât stop listening to her music. It seemed she barely broke a sweat. She just kept on running, ponytail swinging, until she left. Jack made a mental note to ask her whether she was a marathon runner if he saw her again.
She was there the next day, again beating him to the gym. Instead of the treadmill, she focused on weights, lifting loads that usually would be impossible for a girl of her age and stature. After weights, she moved to the floor mats, completing push-ups, balances, squats, and many more that Jack didnât manage to notice. Jack hit the showers quickly so he could ask her what her training regime was but just missed her. As he ran out the door after her, he just managed to spot her climbing into a pink car (pink! Now thatâs a sight you donât see every day!). She greeted the grey-haired driver and they sped off.
On the third day, the mystery girl was late â a whole hour late. It seemed very much unlike her (not that Jack really knew anything about her). The reason why was revealed when the large pink car pulled up to the doors. Out stepped the olive-skinned girl, pulling a shorter blonde out with her. The grey-haired driver followed at a respectful distance, warily eyeing Jack for a moment before flicking his eyes subtly around the gym. Jack didnât even think about trying to talk to the mystery girl that day.
The day after, Jack found Mystery Girl on the mats, alone. She had a punching bag hanging in front of her â and it looked like she really hated it. Jabs and kicks repeatedly hit the bag, with sometimes less than a second in between the different moves. With a start, Jack recognised the style of fighting â Wing Chun, a style he was quite familiar with himself. After watching a few minutes, Jack realised that this was his opportunity to go talk to her.
âWing Chun, right? Kung Fu?â
She stopped, turning to face him. âYes. You know it?â
âYeah. Donât know much, but enough to get by in a fight. I think.â
Mystery Girl smirked. âOkay. Letâs have a look, shall we?â
âPardon?â
âI donât know about you, but this punching bag doesnât exactly hit back.â Jack furrowed his eyebrows. She rolled her eyes. âIâm asking if youâll spar with me.â
âOh! Right, yeah. Sorry.â Spreading his legs into an opening stance, Jack desperately tried to remember what he had been taught â and nearly got a jab to the face. âHey!â
âCâmon! One of the first rules is âalways be ready and expect the unexpectedâ!â
Jack grimaced. âSorry. Iâm ready now.â
Mystery Girl grinned. âShall we start then?â
Somewhere amidst all the jabs and kicks Mystery Girl launched at him, Jack realised that he was seriously outmatched. She was an expert, as in the highest ranking you could ever be. His respect and awe for her increased massively every time she added another bruise to his collection. Her style was flawless, each move precise and aimed perfectly. Jack never had any chance of beating her and he could tell that she was toying with him, leading him around the mats. Finally, Jack found himself on the flat on the ground, pinned by her knee. Grinning, she stood back up and offered her hand. Grabbing it, Jack stood back upright.
âThanks for the practice,â the girl said.
âPractice? That was a full-on work out!â
She shrugged. âEh, I take what I can get. Most of my brothers canât really keep up with me in terms of self-defense, although theyâre much better than they used to be.â
Jack sipped from his water bottle, still panting. âLet me guess, youâve been teaching them?â She nodded, drinking from her own bottle. âHow many brothers do you have?â
âFive,â she replied, and Jack blinked in surprise.
A ring tone echoed in the quiet gym and Mystery Girl picked up her phone. Sleek and black with silver highlights, it was obviously heavy duty â and expensive. A holographic display lit the air above the phone, showing the caller ID. Calling â Lady Penelope. The picture was the young blonde from the other day, laughing with her head thrown back with a tanned blond man, Hawaiian shirt open at the neck. Mystery Girl picked up her phone and âPenelopeâ appeared.
âWe are right outside when youâre ready. Gordon is here too, surprisingly.â
âReally?â Mystery Girl said, wry disbelief on her face.
âYes! Somehow, I got Gordon out of bed, but he is fairly grumpy, and I will need your help wrangling him.â
She smiled fondly. Jack found he really liked it, but a stab of jealousy ran through him. Who is this Gordon? Her boyfriend?
âIâll be right there, Lady P. See you in a few seconds.â Hanging up on Penelope, Mystery Girl grabbed her rucksack and turned towards the door. âBye,â she said to Jack with a flutter of her fingers. Minutes later, the same pink car from before roared past.
It was only later that Jack realised he still didnât ask for her name. He certainly regretted it when he never saw her in his gym again-
-until she was on television two weeks later.
Jack was on the treadmills, straining for those last few kilometres, while watching the local news. There had been a recent world record broken â the world airspeed record, to be precise. Something had gone wrong though, according to the news, and International Rescue had stepped in to help. Jack only caught the end of the report, but it was enough to stop him in his tracks (while the treadmill was still running unfortunately, although heâd never admit it). The news channel showed four of the five Thunderbirds lined up, the members of International Rescue standing in front. Four young men for four Thunderbirds, baldrics silver, green, red, and yellow. Next to them stood two young women. One was blonde, clad in a gold dress and black jacket, her hand entwined in the yellow Thunderbirdâs hand. Jackâs eyes widened as he recognised her as Lady Penelope. And next to her-
Next to Lady Penelope was Mystery Girl. Clad in dark blue-green and black, she stood with an easy confidence. The names of the members of International Rescue flashed on the holo-image. Scott Tracy, Virgil Tracy, John Tracy, Gordon Tracy, Alan Tracy, Kayo Kyrano.
Kayo.
Now everything made sense! Mystery Girlâs fitness ability, her friend with the chauffeur, her mention of her five brothers â blimey, her brothers were the famous Tracyâs. She was part of International Rescue, for goodness sake!! She was the elusive pilot of the rumoured Thunderbird Shadow! And Jack had met with her, talked to her, sparred with her, and didnât even realise.
Jack left the gym in bewilderment, the treadmill still running.

FIN
Iâll beat you with a chilly 4 degrees where I am, and steadily going downwards!
28°C and still rising.
Usually, that temperature happens at noon here in the North East.
Just imagine⌠sometime next year, we will be opening up Disney+ and seeing a big blue banner. Weâll click on it, the showâs description will appear, and that glorious button named âPlayâ will sit innocently there. Weâll then cross our fingers, hold our breath, hope to Olympus that itâs true, click on that wonderful white buttonâŚand S1:EP1 âI Accidentally Vaporise My Pre-Algebra Teacherâ will play.
Headcanon: Annabeth is gluten-free or even coeliac. All the Athena kids are, in fact.
(Been re-listening to The Lightning Thief musical and this is inspired by the lyric âSheâs [Athena] sworn off gluten and sheâs sworn off guysâ from âThe Campfire Songâ)

Virgil: Hey hey hey! If you two have BEEF, get out of my sight before you MILK the joke for all itâs worth.
Thunderbird two was sat parked in a field waiting for Scott to finish up with the local authorities before. Gordon was sat on the module ramp swinging his legs over the side looking very deep in thought.
âHey Virgil?â
Virgil knew the silence had been too good to last, âuh-huhâ whilst continuing to stow the last pieces of equipment that weren't quite stacked to his personal standards. If he had been paying more attention he would have seen the warning signs, noticed the glint in his brothers eye, his only excuse was that it had been a long dayâŚ..
âWhat happens when a cow gets exhausted?â
Virgil frowned, âwhy?â and he moved to stand behind his brother and try and see if he could spot the tired cow that prompted this question. All the while not really knowing what the signs of exhaustion looked like in a cow.
âIt COW-lapses!â Gordon grinned. Virgil continued to scan the surrounding scenery for a few seconds more looking for the bovine in question before the awful joke filtered into his consciousness and he groaned. He rubbed at his tired face with one hand, cursing himself for walking straight into that lame attempt at humour. He grit his teeth as he realised there was not other way out of this situation. He let his hand drop, and mustering all the serious professionalism he could, stared very intently at his jokester companion.
âWell, Gordon, that would certainly make it hard to MOO-ve themâ He managed to keep his expression completely neutral, only due to extreme self control.
Gordon spluttered and toppled onto his back from his seated perch, his legs still swinging over the edge, âYou win, this round goes to you!â he wheezed from his sprawled position. He allowed himself to be helped up to his feet by a convenient strong hand. âAlthough Iâm sure Iâm still winningâ
âYouâre not actually keeping score?â
âNo, donât be ridiculous, that's what Johns for.â and he deftly tapped his comms
John's hologramme aimed a mid range glare, â15 to 9 in your favour Gordon, now please go away the bureaucracy is still going strong, unlike Scotts patience.â and his image blinked out with no further fanfare.
The glint was back in Gordons eye but Virgil was ready for it this time, âWell that ought to keep him aMOO-used for a while then!â
â16 to 9â John's disembodied voice cut in without even missing a beat.
âHonestly Gordon, your jokes are so bad they're almost legen-DAIRYâ
â16 to 9.5, that was weak Virg.â John's flat critique was cutting. Virgil huffed and stomped back into the module, leaving Gordon halfheartedly trying to suppress his laughter.
Yes thatâs right, itâs time for Tunnels of Time kids so letâs all strap in shall we? I apologise in advance for the terrible phone screengrabs â I have a blazing migraine and no goddamn energy to tidy them up. ANYWAY.
Let us begin. Hey, the model work at the beginning of this episode is spectacular and I *love it* but is that what Iâm here for? No. No it is not.Â

So I don't know if anyone remembers my fic 'London Gym', but I'm thinking I'll do some more stories with my character Jack Wallace meeting the other Tracy's. Is this a good idea? And if so, I really need ideas on how he's going to meet them! So if you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. I am taking requests, just comment a person and your idea.
Please?
@koscheithehunter you would be the literal best person in the world if you drew this scene pls pls pls PLS PLEASE
Do you ever think Jason found out how recently Percy started training? Jason, the kid whoâs been raised as a child solider since he was an infant, found out Annabeth has been training since she was 7 and heâs like, Ok makes sense. So one day he decides to ask Percy whoâs all âI would call it less training, and more like the Minotaur tried to kill me when I was 12 and then Hades kidnapped my mom, itâs been pretty much down hill ever since. Itâs really been fight or flight and your dad gave me specific instructions to stay out of the sky..â
This is great!! Love it so much!! And congrats on finishing up the set of Tracy brothers!
I have successfully drawn a full set of Tracy brothers! đ
Alan took ages to finish because life is being uncooperative... but better late than never, right? Also, weirdly Iâd say he was the hardest to draw! Itâs a slightly different pose to the original from the show that inspired these, but I couldnât leave the little space bro out of my gallery đ
Because I certainly do, and I love every single one of them and their work.
BANNER ART NOT MINE. Multifandom. Will reblog literally anything that takes my fancy. Under @mae-the-4th on AO3. INCREDIBLE PROFILE ART DONE BY @koscheithehunter !!
