Hey guys, I’m having a really awful day. One of my best friends and I are kinda drifting apart, and it really hurts, y’know? And on top of that, there’s this weird guy that keeps wanting to talk to me and stuff like that and kinda follows me around a bit, even though I want nothing to do with him. I can really relate to all of this. I have, like, maybe 7 projects going on right now? And I just do whatever I feel like at that moment! 

Of course, this sometimes means that I haven’t looked at a certain fanfic I’m writing for months now, but oh well!

Father Figure

Hi everyone. So I happened to be up at 3am the other morning and this was the result. It has been many years since I wrote anything and this is far from perfect but it was a much needed distraction for my sleep deprived brain and I thought that, encouraged by she who encourages all @gumnut-logic​ I’d fling it up here. I’ve tried to proof it but my brain likes to leave embarrassing mistakes I’ll spot moments after posting. Going to go hide behind the sofa now. 

Scott stood on the balcony, his eyes fixed on the silhouette of the giant ship that would carry them to find their father. The sun sinking below the horizon proved a dramatic background to the impressive structure. Resting his forearms on the railing he swirled the liquid in his almost empty glass.

So many thoughts threatened to swallow him up. Failure wasn’t an option but always in those brief moments of circumspection that washed over him in the quiet moments, he found himself clamping down hard on the fear and doubt that threatened at the edges of his mind. He scrubbed a hand over his face. He felt weary in that moment.

His brothers had all gone their separate ways quickly after the debrief of the dramatic run in with the crablogger earlier. He suspected that their readiness to disappear was less to do with respect for his order that they go rest and more because they too wanted time to process the sheer magnitude of what they were about to do.

The future of everything would be decided with the launch of the behemoth.

So far today I’ve managed to spill a full cup of coffee all over my desk, leg, notebook and floor, and have killer cramps.

It is definitely a mug cake kinda day.

So, for a main serve, I like reading John or Virgil. And Jeff, recently.

A side order of Alan, and definitely throw in some Kayo.

As for ships, I usually go canon, so I love Pen and Ink. Virgil/Kayo is cool too, and any John/Ridley O’Bannon I will usually go for as well. Haven’t really found any Scott/Marion von Arkle or a whole lot of Jeff/Lucille.

Anyone got any suggestions for stories of those ships?

Who is your main serve?

I’m after information. Mainly because my brain is forgetful and often gets the wrong end of the stick.

I often find myself sitting here going, now which boi (or gal) is that person’s Thunderbird fav? The question may be asked for various reasons, sometimes I wanna throw screencaps at that person, or I feel like writing something, or recommend something, or whatever, but because I have a black hole where my memory should be, I often can’t quite work it out which character is their main reading preference.

For example, I know there are quite a few John fans out there, but some who I thought were Virgil fans are actually Scott fans and have been reading some of my stuff because I sometimes throw in a side order of Scotty with my Virg.

So, my question is…

Which Thunderbirds character is your main serve? Which character do you prefer to read?

What are your favourite side orders to go with that main serve?

Do you like ship? Y/N And if you do, what pairing?

Main serve is Virgil.

Side dishes are often Scott or Gordon.

Ship is yes, and it is usually Virgil/Kayo.
