Voy a robar algunos de estos headcanon para un oc.
Okay I'm tired of pretending to be insane so here are some reaaaally basics Zarbon's race concepts from me ≽^• ˕ • ྀི≼
(TW: (just in case)... +15 text and a little bit of religion thing)
Appearance:
• They are an alien species that belong to the planet Gurētsuh, the name of their race is called Gutokage (Gurēpufurūtsu = grapefruit + Tukage = lizard)
• They are a species which is evolved from what we know as Crocodylidae which have all kinds of lizards belonging to this family (Caimans, alligators, crocodiles, gharials, etc.) being giant reptiles
• They are humanoid reptiles between 2-3 meters (they can grow more), with a lot of muscle mass, tough skin with thick scales, a powerful upper jaw full of sharp teeth (depending on the species of this), eyes with an improved vision with the passage of its evolution, super acute hearing, speed even being so corpulent sometimes, these usually have tails, not all, the tail has been disappearing as they evolve.
• The tail was previously super useful when they had to swim, before they lived both on land and in water and the tail helped them to have balance in the water.
• Like all reptiles, they have a third eyelid for when they need to swim.
• Very few have retained the ability to swim perfectly, this is because on their planet after the "Evolution of beauty" you will rarely see one swimming
• They have super sharp nails capable of cutting flesh and bones easily.
• Most have long hair, rarely short, long and well-groomed hair indicates fertility and good genes.
• Their colors vary depending on the species/subspecies of these lizards, from green to even black (including both skin and hair)
• There are Gutokages with all kinds of bodies, tall, skinny, chubby, muscular, small, etc.
• There are differences between males and females, males are more robust than females normally (depending on their body type)
(More undercut ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ )
Dimorphism/Sex:
• This is a concept that I put together with the fact that they are named after citrus fruits, I have seen that many do this that they have no gender, so in my case, they are all born being male and female at the same time, they have both reproductive organs (Vagina and Penis), but some may look more feminine or masculine than others but that does not define their "gender".
• Example of this: We have a super masculine and large Gutokage that could perfectly be the stereotype of the dominant MALE, but he was the one who gave birth to his children and was the Bottom at the time of procreation.
( Example of dimorphism, both can be "male" or "female" depending. )
• The appearance of the Gutokage depends a lot on its species, the Gutokage of the "Crocodile" species are going to be larger and more robust, if it is a Gutokage of the "Dwarf Alligator" species it will be smaller and skinnier, but the dimorphism is still the same.
• Their reproduction is sexual, and they give birth to 1 to 5 offspring. Being reptiles, they lay eggs and depending on the Gutokage, it will be more painful, heavy or slow when releasing the eggs.
• The offspring (inside the egg) change appearance depending on the temperature, warm = more masculine features and cold = more feminine features.
Mating/Heat:
• Gutokage look for a mate between the months of February and September (in human months) and during these months, courtship, mating, nesting, incubation and hatching of eggs take place.
• Gutokage "reproduce only once in their life" (not really). They mate during a specific period called "courtship", which can last for days. During courtship, they perform elaborate displays to attract the other, these could be anything from showing off their luxuries, hunts, belongings, social status, etc. (Anything that makes the other Gutokage think it's a good idea to be the other's mate).
• Gutokage don't go with just anyone who appears around, they have a couple planned, days, weeks and months before proposing, these like any couple, have to get to know each other 100%, it's no joke, that's why it takes a lot of preparation to get a partner for life.
• When it comes to mating, these creatures are not brute beasts, quite the opposite, they are very romantic, they try to show trust and a safe/loving space to their partner.
• Even when they are in a couple or already have a family, they still continue to have sex, but many wait until the mating season to do so.
Clothing/Jewelry:
• They are creatures that wear clothes that highlight their attributes and beauty in their own way, we have from Gutokage with more Greek style clothing to Gutokage with armor 24/7, they really have varied styles that you see and know that this species will never lose in a clothing contest.
• They use a lot of jewelry, it is what characterizes them too, all kinds of jewelry are worth it, what they use the most and that is more religious are tiaras and earrings (better if these match) and something important about this:
• The earrings/tiara that Zarbon and Yuzun wear are special, that jewelry is created specifically for the Gutokage who do not want to return to their beast forms, they keep them with the idea that their beautiful forms ARE THE TRUE ONES and that makes them look that beautiful.
• Some Gutokage go barefoot, others wear all kinds of footwear depending on their clothing (more than one will have heels).
• They do not have gender stereotypes for clothing.
(example of some Gutokage most normal clothing (the images do not belong to me) )
Religion:
• As I said before, earrings and tiaras are religious accessories, this means that this jewelry is a symbol of miracles, it means protection, harmony with oneself and that not having this is a sin, since they are little they should have this, since they see it as a lack of respect, for them not having this is a sign of savagery, lack of culture and brutishness.
• And why is this? Well, they praise a God, for a reason it is religious. In their bible (yes, they have a bible) everything starts with them being wild creatures on the verge of death, until a little different Gutokage was born, he was smarter and to differentiate himself from the others he used accessories created by himself, this one in order to save his race, he made a deal with the "Powerful" to become the savior of his race, this was granted and the young Gutokage became a deity, having the charge of helping his race to be beings like him, that's why they use jewelry, it's a symbol of gratitude and honor to their god who saved them.
• This entity had children, which are "God of war", "God of fertility", "God of death" and "God of good luck"...
Okay, so far everything I have, I know that maybe it's a bit out of nowhere but, I can't see how nobody does anything, I hope you liked it, if you have anything else to add I'm all ears. ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )
Okay. I’ve had time to process the spoilers for chapter 407: Paranormal Orphan.
Here are my thoughts:
-WTF?! They are twins?! What is it with Japanese mangaka and having unhinged twin relationships?! I’m looking at you, Nightow.
-AFO was born with his Quirk activated. Stealing nutrients from his mother then desperately feeding off of her corpse. Stole her Quirk too and seems to have some sentimental value in it as he still uses it often to this day.
-Low-key, I think there’s a hint here that the genetic change in babies and pre-pubescent kids started as some sort of STD that evolved considering their mom was a prostitute and “contracted” an illness. That’s just me, though.
-The first person he ever had was Yoichi and he held his hand right after birth. Also: JFC THAT’S A BIG BOY
-AFO is a victim of his Quirk like the other villains(Toga, Touya, Tenko). He was born wanting to possess things. I don’t like the whole “he was born evil” narrative. Yeah, he looks like a crazy ass Omen baby, but it makes sense he’d think the way he does.
-AFO is also an unreliable narrator here as this is all from his POV
-He says something to the effect of (we’ll know more once we get the scanlations) how, even though Yoichi can’t give him anything like he wants from everyone else, he’s still “his”.
-So, did he just get up and start walking and taking care of his brother out of sheer will when he was still a baby or did someone pick them up and raise them to the point when AFO wanted something from them and killed them when he didn’t get it?
-Yoichi still believes there is some good in his brother because he held his hand as a baby. 😭 Poor kid
-Poor wittle Yoichi getting kicked because he threw something at AFO. For how they’ve had to live, it makes sense AFO would react that way…in a manner of speaking.
-Yoichi learning to read from comics he finds in rubble/a dump. AFO takes notice and sits next to him. He then likes the part where the author says “One for All, All for One.” He should have had a name prior that he must have given himself as Yoichi has one. Though it would make sense that AFO named Yoichi himself as “first gift” since he was the first thing he ever had.
-AFO being jealous of the Glowing Baby is pretty spot on. All of this seems to hint that AFO and Yoichi were the first to have powers considering how AFO talks about the Glowing Baby and the 50 kids born in India.
-The last page is quite a cliffhanger and it sucks we have to wait 2 weeks for the next part(there’s no way this isn’t a two parter).
-How AFO is thinking about Yoichi leaving him is intensely possessive and reminds me of how Vader choked Padme when he thought she was betraying/leaving him. This also ties into how AFO didn’t know he had killed Yoichi.
-My guess is that AFO lashed out and sliced off Yoichi’s hand in a possessive rage. He was so startled by his own action that it gave the 3rd user time to grab Kudo and Yoichi then speed out of there.
-Is it just me or does anyone else hope AFO kept Yoichi’s hand? Parallel to Tomura having all of his family’s hands. I sure hope he did because I need even more twisted twin obsession.
-It’s most likely Yoichi lived long enough after this(and maybe with his blood) transferred OFA to Kudo. He then died from his blood loss and that’s why AFO didn’t know he had killed him.
-AFO crying over Yoichi’s death maybe the first and only time he’s ever cried. Yoichi did mean something to him, maybe even more than a “thing”, but he didn’t realize it until that one moment. He blames Kudo for his death because of the mental gymnastics he has to go through to convince himself that there’s no way he would have hurt the only person he’s ever actually loved—possessive as it may be. If Kudo hadn’t have taken him from the vault, he wouldn’t have reacted and cut off Yoichi’s hand, and therefore, Yoichi would still be alive.
-If he takes OFA with Yoichi’s soul in it, then Yoichi will be his again and “I totally didn’t kill him. See! He’s still alive!”
-The internet’s hot-takes that AFO is homophobic because he went full possessive Vader over Yoichi is weird. I said it.
-A part of me wants there to be a cliffhanger where we think Bakugo may have defeated AFO. We then get the intense fight between Tomura and Deku. Deku is about to win, however that’s going to happen, but then AFO shows up around the age he was when he kicked Yoichi, and he’s holding Bakugo as a threat, demanding Deku give him his brother back. But that’s just me. Again.
Anyway, I can admit when I’m wrong about a villain’s backstory. It wouldn’t be the first time and I honestly should have expected something like this considering Horikoshi going full on horror during this Final War arc. However, I don’t think AFO being born with his Quirk activated and “wanting to take” necessarily makes him “born evil.” The twins still had to survive on the streets as orphans, anti-meta people believing AFO is a diseased heathen and never wanting to help either of them. So, he took on exactly what they thought of him. It’s actually quite sad when you stop to think about it.
I’m going to be frothing at the mouth for the next two weeks to see how this backstory ends. Since it started with AFO going nuts and thinking Bakugo is Kudo, I’m assuming we’ll get further context of AFO’s thoughts when he’s crying.
All Tomorrows/Killer Folk AU: Random lore and Ideas I have currently thought of: TW/CW - Mentions of suicide, death, and cannibalism. Read at own discretion
The vast majority of Areian cultures don't have writing systems. Areians are naturally farsighted (difficulty seeing things up close) so written writing systems are only useful at a distance. To combat this, many cultures have developed variations of tactile writing systems. Variants of embroidery journals, quipu knots, and wampum beads are common tactile writing methods. Corvids also act as the memory part of the Areian mind. They have better memory, so story-telling, songs, and corvid memory are other methods of writing and record keeping.
The Accurst are actually a diaspora. While most of their culture and cultural identity has been lost, they have been able to survive by intertwining with other Areian groups and hiding their identities as mush as possible. This had the backlash affect of erasing their cultural identity even more. To the point that only a few cultural marks exist, but very few Accurst know what they mean.
Areians beliefs are a mish-mash of pagan, shinto, animism, and jewish/islamic eating beliefs. Areians don't believe in good and evil, they believe in the concept of Health and Sickness. Health = Good and Sickness = Bad. Health is meant to be both physical and mental health as strength. Being able to die in battle, having given their full strength is considered a glorious death. Death by old age isn't frowned upon, but being old and not being right of mind is. Sickness is weakness and being weak of mind means you are risk. Most homes have either a separate Sick House/Sick Room to hide away those who are Sick. Blood is fine, but pus vomit, and other sickness related symptoms are considered bad.
This is where the Conventry comes into play. One of their advertised roles is that they are willing to interact with and help the sick. While Areians do have methods to deal with sickness (tonic, pills, food, etc...) most will just leave the sick alone. The assumption being that if a person succumbs to sickness, they were weak and a hindrance. The Conventry, with their access to ancient knowledge, is able to help these lepers and offer them the aid they were denied. Many clans find the conventry invaluable as a result. Hence, why they can influence the advancement of Areian societies. The fear of the very world becoming Sick is strong. So Areians work diligently to care for and cultivate the natural world around them. Anything that may help them, but would risk making the world sick is forbidden.
Sickness (physical and mental) varies across cultures. Most physical disabilities are still considered something to overcome and so are considered Sickness adjacent. Because the person is willing to overcome their ailments, they are still considered healthy. The same goes for mental illness.
This actually leads into another unique cultural aspect. Suicide is considered socially acceptable. Suicide is considered when a person starts to experience Sickness and doesn't want to die from it. Instead they will take tonics or pills to quickly end their lives. It is considered the honorable option because they are still of sound mind (health) and are capable of making such decisions.
Accurst are assumed to automatically be Sick because of their physical "deformaties". Which is why they are either hunted or indoctrinated by others in an attempt to cleanse sickness.
Ritual cannibalism is also a common funerary right. Throwing a large feast and eating the recently deceased is commonplace across cultures. The belief is that one can gain the the deceased strengths or skills and that their life wasn't a waste.
Random thought about the hybrid Saiyans...
Goten, Trunks, and Pan were all born abnormally strong compared to any full-blooded Saiyan we see, and they've been described as "tailless hybrids."
The thought just came to me today... I bet they're exactly 10 times stronger than they would've been if they'd been born with tails.
Because becoming an Oozaru makes you 10 times stronger.
Basically, they don't have the capability of transforming into Oozaru... because that extra power is already integrated into their base form. They've got the power of a giant monkey but without any of the downsides (tail is an obvious weak point, mindless rage that needs practice to control, becoming a huge target.)
This also fits with the 6th Universe Saiyans, who have evolved to be tailless... and, probably not coincidentally, are all abnormally strong in their base forms and have a much easier time transforming into Super Saiyans. Sound familiar? Yep, they're just like little Goten and Trunks!
Now imagine if little Gohan had been born without a tail. When he gets angry seeing Raditz beating up his dad, instead of his power level rising to 1300-something he jumps all the way to 13,000. Sorry Piccolo, you won't be needing that Makankosappo to poke a hole in Raditz this time... that 4-year-old is going to do it with a headbutt.
Si, definitivamente Izuku Y Kudou necesitan terapia.
since the ofa users feelings are connected to izuku, post-canon idea where izuku has a nightmare of katsukis death which then clashed with kudous own pent up grief over yoichi (a double mental breakdown ensues)
Some time after the ToP…….Goku is still ruining the fun for Vegeta lol
...Every heart has some pain...
Jod*r, ahora necesito más sobre este Au, me he enamorado.
AU where Third was originally part of the Yakuza and later defected to work for AFO.
1- logic would say that someone who's defected once might defect again, but like 80% of AfO's people fit into the category so he doesn't think much of it. Most die before they can betray him, and he's overly confident in his control of them. Third is no exception, and he brought a lot of money and useful resources with him to AfO as his former group burned down behind him, and didn't even demand a good quirk for it, just offered loyalty so AfO was pretty cool with him
2- Third turned btw because he felt like though the Yakuza had accepted and protected him as a meta teen, they now mostly just saw him as a tool and not one of them, not a real brother.
3- Third does somewhat find more belonging as one of the guards in AfO's organization, but their near worship of the guy feels a little off to him- he isn't sure they're valued enough to justify quite that. But he keeps his mouth shut and does feel like this is a better boss than his last one.
4- Third also finds some belonging in his new boss's younger brother, the reclusive and ill Yoichi who's room he guards. He can understand Yoichi's frustrations for being treated like a glass doll, and even though he also thinks the guy is naive it's clear that that's partially from literally never being allowed out so really it's AfO's fault.
5- one day, after Third returns from guarding AfO and his doctor (mostly the doctor, AfO has the taller Machia act as his guard) at a dinner event, they find Yoichi apparently slipped his guards of the night some of his own medication and ran away. AfO kills the guards for their failure, orders Third follow the doctor to "the new base" and assist him with "preparations", then leaves with Machia to track Yoichi down. On their way, the doctor casually reveals that he's been making Yoichi's illnesses worse on purpose on AfO's orders and wonders what he might have to do the fool now- though the vault without sunlight might help with that. Third, horrified, follows the doctor there, then makes an excuse about securing the perimeter and runs like hell, hoping to find Yoichi before his brother does.
RUN!
