"Sometimes when you're worn down, day after day, relentlessly, with no reprieve for years piled on years, sometimes you lose everything but the ability to cry"
- This Song Will Save Your Life, Leila Sales
Fire was never framed as a positive thing in the story. Think what happened to The Hound, Varys, when we see Melisandre burning people alive as sacrifices, Shireen, wildfire, and yes, Dany burning people alive as well.
Fire was not the hero.
And funnily enough, you would think that fire was heroic in one way, in the battle with the AotD and NK.
But they literally had ice (the Starks) take out ice. The NK couldn't be killed by dragonfire. The dead were still able to get past the fiery trench. No matter how much fire was thrown at the icy threat, it couldn't defeat it.
So while yes, Dany and her dragons were a massive help in the battle of the NK, no doubt, it wasn't fire that defeated ice. Dany didn't kill the NK just like he didn't kill her. The threats to Westeros didn't cancel each other out.
It was Arya (ice) who killed the NK:
And Jon (ice) who killed Dany:
The Starks (ice) were always going to win out in the end. Jon was always going to come back to his Stark side in the end.
The Pack survives.

How are you feeling?
reblog and make a wish! this was removed from tumbrl due to “violating one or more of Tumblr’s Community Guidelines”, but since my wish came true the first time, I’m putting it back. :)
She kept staring at the other presence in the room. She received the same attention back. Tension was high between them, irritated by the uncalled company.
“I asked you to leave,” she said. There was no reply, just two set of eyes looking intently at each other. Eventually losing her calm, she said.
“I’m tired of you being with me all the time. My friends are worried but you never let me visit them. I don’t even feel like myself with you,” she screamed, chest heaving in anger and desperation. But this was needed; she needed to know the damage of being with her.
“Please, please I beg you. Please leave me alone,” she cried when her words were met with silence, yet again. But it smirked at her, those vicious human teeth between the red lips.
Collecting herself together, she walked towards her table and pulled out the pistol she kept for emergency situations.
"I begged you. I still am. You leave me no options," she said as she loaded the pistol and pointed at it. Only to find a similar one towards her. But she didn't falter. Her fingers were ready to pull the trigger any moment, looking for fear in the eyes of her enemy.
She found none.
But she had to do it. In order for her own sanity. She braced herself one more time.
And she shot herself.

This was dangerous, and you knew it.
But that didn’t stop you from hiding between the shelves of the public library, swiftly moving between them as your eyes searched for the bandit not so far away. You did receive a few judgemental stares from other people in the library, but that didn’t matter much to you. You just didn’t want to get caught.
Praying that you won’t be noticed, you decided to make a run for it, making your quick steps quiet as you dashed towards the children’s area. You doubt he’d be able to find you here considering he’d probably be too focused on finding other people like you hiding in the main area.
Your heart was pounding in your chest, eyes frantically looking around for the person you were avoiding. Instead, all you saw was children playing with the toys the library provided while their parents searched through the tiny shelves for children’s books.
With a relieved sigh, you decided to relax, sitting down with your back against the wall. You closed your eyes to rest your mind for a bit, taking in deep breaths to reduce some of your anxiety.
Then, at the sound of sudden footsteps coming your way, your eyes shot open, hoping that those footsteps didn’t belong to the person you were hiding from.
“Y/N?”
You looked up from your position to find your boyfriend instead, watching him laugh at the sight of you hiding in the children’s section.
“Jaemin!” you whisper screamed, immediately reaching up to grab his arm, pulling him down with you. “Don’t be too loud,” you scolded.
“Woah there, tiger. We won’t get caught here.”
“You’re hiding here too?”
He nodded, keeping close to you as he peeked over the shelf in front of you both, trying to see if Renjun was near. “I’m sure we’re safe. I think he’s too focused on finding Jisung.”
You giggled at his remark, finally feeling at ease with someone by your side; that someone being the person you love oh so much. He looked at you with the brightest smile and wrapped his arms around you, pulling you into his arms. “I got you now, don’t worry,” he reassured, holding you close against his chest.
“You’re an angel, you know that?” You whispered, leaning your head on top of his shoulder.
“You’re going to regret saying that.”
His words made your heart drop, confused as to the sudden change in mood. “What?”
It didn’t take long for him to detach himself from you, cupping your cheeks before pressing his lips against yours.
You weren’t opposed to the affection, but his words earlier left you confused, pushing him away not so long afterwards.
“Jaemin, what the fuck did you mean by y-”
“You’re it.”
Your words stop short, watching the corners of his lips turn up into a shit eating grin.
“Wait, isn’t Renjun the tagge-”
“Gotta go, Y/N!”
“...”
